Omega Templar Skills at VR1

Thieves Guild PvE DPS

Published for ESO Update 2.3 Thieves Guild on 2/17/2016

Objective – The idea behind this build is ranged DPS Magic Templar for dungeons, Vet Maelstrom or questing (PvE).  This is not for the new trial as you will need a lot more sustained in order to adapt to the new longer duration fights.

Skills

Omega Skill Lines Thieves Guild

Destruction Staff – Our main source of damage this patch around due to the buff for Wall of Elements and Maelstrom Staff I’m doing more damage with staff than traditional Dual Wield.

  • Inner Light (morph of Mage Light | Mages Guild skill line) – Still boost our max magicka, still gives us major buff for spell critical but now its only required on one bar freeing up some space on our back bar.  Plus you can toggle it prior to dropping Shooting Star for a 20% damage boost.
  • Vampires Bane (morph of Sun Fire | Dawn’s Wrath skill line) – One of the skills that got buffed and really packs a bunch on my Dunmer.  Another option is Purifying Light which can now critically hit.  When I tested both, I had better success with Vampires Bane.
  • Puncturing Sweeps (morph of Puncture Strikes | Aedric Spear skill line) – While I still slow Sweeps, I don’t use it like previous builds.  I mainly have it slotted for the Aedric Spear passive boosting my Critical Damage by 10%.  But you can use this for a heal/stun up close if you want.  Once again, when I tested Sweeps vs. Dark Flare, Flare won.
  • Dark Flare (morph of Solar Flare | Aedric Spear skill line) – 12% damage boost, ranged, gives empower and hits like a mack truck.  The way I use this is Flare, Light Attack, Flare, Light Attack, while maintaining two buffs (Elemental Blockade and Vampires Bane).  Weaving adds a lot of damage so get use to practicing it.
  • Elemental Blockade (morph of Wall of Elements | Destruction Staff skill line) – Wow did this get buffed.  AoE and amazing single target that benefits from Vet Maelstrom Staff.  The bad part is you can’t really animation cancel, but it’s worth keeping this up.
  • [Ultimate] Shooting Star (morph of Meteor | Mages Guild skill line) – Meteor still does more damage than Nova, plus it give you empower and benefits from Empower so I use it.

Dual Wield – I use this for buffs and AoE damage.

  • Proxy Detention (morph of Magicka Detonation | Alliance War Assault skill line) – Might still take awhile to get this ability, but it’s a bruiser.  Some may argue that it’s worth maintaining this ability (8 seconds before explosion) even in a single target application.  The way I use it, prior to starting combat cast it on myself and only recast if there’s multiple mobs.
  • Channeled Focus (morph of Rune Focus | Restoring Light skill line) – Stand in your circle of magicka and with Dark Flare change you shouldn’t have a problem with that.  You can also still get the buff for 8 seconds after you move out of it so keep it up.  Remember that the more magicka you have, the more damage you do during execute phase, so potion/channel right before boss hits 25%.
  • Radiant Oppression (morph of Radiant Destruction | Dawn’s Wrath skill line) – “Jesus Beam” still powerful and now works with multiple Templars.  I still use this around 25% of the bosses health making sure my DoTs are fully up before I beam.
  • Blazing Spear (morph of Spear Shard | Aedric Spear skill line) – Still an AoE juggernaut combined with Proxy Det for huge AoE plus you can use at range.  Stand back and spam cast but make sure you’re generating ultimate with one light attack.
  • Breath of Life (morph of Rushed Ceremony | Restoring Light skill line) – The nice thing about Templars is, we don’t need a Resto staff for healing.  I still use this as a DPS just in case I stand in red like a baddy 🙂
  • [Ultimate] Solar Disturbance (morph of Nova | Dawn’s Wrath skill line) – Not the best DPS ultimate but still useful for damage mitigation.

Rotation and Buffs

  • Prior to combat I use a spell power potion, cast Channel Focus, Proxy Detonation and bar swap for Shooting Star (toggle inner light prior to cast for Empower 20% more damage).
  • Now cast an Empowered Vampires Bane while closing the distance, light attack, Elemental Blockade, light attack.
  • Now we go into Dark Flare/Light or Medium attack weave for about 3x until Blockade needs to be recast, then Vampires Bane.
  • Maintaining Blockade/Vampires Bane, keep Channeled Focus up for max magicka and Proxy Det in AoE situations.
  • Beam at 25% health making sure you have Channeled Focus down, potion for spell power is used and DoTs are up.
  • That’s it, in AoE situations I spam Blazing Spear and only heal when I’m in trouble.

Gear

Omega Thieves Guild Gear

5 Piece Julianos – Still my go-to magicka DPS setup though Twice Born Star is also very viable.  Julianos can be crafted in Orsinium for 6 traits which no real substitute other than TBS.

2 Piece Molag Kena – The good news is, this Templar build doesn’t benefit very much from 2 piece helm sets like Nerien’eth, Valkyn Skoria or even Molag Kena.  If you don’t have these sets, go with a 4 piece Magnus for damage or 4 piece Seducers for sustained (helm/shoulders/weapons).

VMA Weapons – I know a lot of people don’t have the Destruction staff, but it’s a massive DPS boost light weaving attacks while maintaining Wall of Elementals.   You can easily just add another Seducers or Magnus depending on what your using.

Champion Points

My CP Calculator is out of date for the PTS and I plan on updating it once changes go live.  The big changes in DPS are from Thaumaturge from the Ritual tree (blue) which is now Damage Over Time not magic.  You’ll need to put some points into this because two of our three DPS abilities are DoTs, however I do not know the best amount as of yet.

Now we move our to Elemental Expert in Apprentice for the majority of CP and spill over into the Elfborn for critical damage.  The blue/green trees are similar to 2.2 build no real changes for PvE.

Skills

Omega Updated Skills

Dual Wield (Damage setup with Nirn)

  • Inner Light (morph of Mage Light | Mages Guild skill line) – Max magicka damage and spell critical, winning.  Keep this double bared and toggled on.
  • Vampires Bane (morph of Sun Fire | Dawn’s Wrath skill line) – I use to use Purifying Light, however it doesn’t seem to critically hit which is the whole point of our build.  Vampires Bane is a strong DoT which is used to proc our 5% spell damage bonus via Illuminate.  If another Templar is using one, you can switch this out for Repentance for 10% magicka regeneration.
  • Structured Entropy (morph of Entropy | Mages Guild skill line) – This is our 20% damage buff which while slotted gives us more max magicka and magicka recovery.  It’s best to use spell power potion, but they are expensive so use this along with Vampires Bane for 25% spell damage!
  • Puncturing Sweeps (morph of Puncturing Strikes | Aedric Spear skill line) – One button win for magicka Templars.  Use this over and over while light attacking every 6 seconds to proc your weapon enchants and generate ultimate.
  • Radiant Oppression (morph of Radiant Destruction | Dawn’s Wrath skill line) – Still a powerful magicka finisher, just make sure to wait until 25% health to fire this off.
  • [Ultimate] Shooting Star (morph of Meteor | Mages Guild skill line) – It cost much less than Nova, has great burst and procs our Empower with Might of the Guild passive.  And slotting this gives us more max magicka, hence more damage.

Dual Wield (Buffs with precise for healing)

  • Inner Light (morph of Mage Light | Mages Guild skill line) – Same as a above.
  • Channeled Focus (morph of Rune Focus | Restoring Light skill line) – Very important to keep this active for magicka regeneration and a great deal of resistances.  Remember that we get more damage on our execute the more magicka we have, so try to have a lot before a boss burn.
  • Repentance (morph of Restoring Aura | Restoring Light skill line) – 10% magicka regeneration for slotted and a great heal from corpses.  Front bar this if you’re playing with another Templar using Dawn’s Wrath abilities.
  • Blazing Spear (morph of Spear Shards | Aedric Spear skill line) – We put this on the back bar for ranged AoE and Piercing Spear passive in Aedric Spear skill line (10% critical damage).
  • Breath of Life (morph of Rushed Ceremony | Restoring Light skill line) – An emergency heal that is still useful if you’re not a healer.
  • [Ultimate] Solar Prison (morph of Nova | Dawn’s Wrath skill line) – A great damage mitigating ultimate that does tons of damage.

Gear

Omega New gear setup Omega Gear Image

  • 5x Twice-Born Star – 9 trait craftable set that you want to pair with Shadow (critical damage) and Thief (more critical chance).  There is no substitute and it’s very hard to get a hold of, but trust me it works.  DISCLAIM, no I’m not the person who “mathed” the results.  I learned about this gear setup from Nifty and Gilliam about three weeks ago.  Whoever figured it out first deserves a lot of credit, just know its not me.
  • 4x Overwhelming Surge – Found in Veteran White Gold Tower though you can go with Julianos set once released in ESO 2.2 or Magnus for a powerful 4 piece bonus.
  • 3x Willpower – Powerful 3 piece magicka set.  Craft for pure spell damage if you’re at the 501 champion point mark otherwise I’d do reduce cost 2x and 1x magicka recovery.

Champion Points

Champion Points Omega

The Mage | The Apprentice – First priority is 30 points into Elfborn/Spell Erosion to hit the Spell Precision passive for 12% spell critical.

The Mage | The Ritual – Thaumaturge – Next up you want to dump a lot of points into this as nearly all of our damage comes from only magicka.

The Thief | The Tower Magician vs. The Lover Arcanist – I do a 60/40% split between this two for resource management. Depending on your race (High Elf regeneration or Breton reduced cost) you may want to change that if you have a specific bonus.

The Warrior | The Lord – Quick Recovery – I love this passive combined with Puncturing Sweeps for massive self healing.  You most likely won’t need any heals simply spamming jabs.

Misc

Omega Stats Page

  • Race Choice – 1) High Elf for max stats and Elemental damage 2) Breton for max magicka and reduced cost 3) Dunmer if you enjoy playing stamina one day and magicka the next.
  • Attributes – Reach 18,000 health for the new content, 20,000 if you’re unfamiliar with the dungeons.  Rest go all magicka so 64 points.
  • Vampire vs Werewolf – I stay stage four vampire for PvP purposes and I don’t see a use for either strictly PvP.
  • Food and Drink – Go bi-stat magicka and health for max stats.

Thanks for the update! I’m 15 atm, still using the 1-10 build you’ve made for this guy. Should I go ahead and respec now since you are using different morhps/spells?

    • Deltia on April 8, 2015 at 8:05 pm

Yeah I did at around level 15.

      • TheLoneWolf10 on July 20, 2015 at 4:56 pm

Deltia can you make a DPs templar that doesnt require being a vampire please? I enjoy being a werewolf and would like a DPs build

        • Deltia on July 21, 2015 at 6:45 pm

          This one doesn’t require it.

          • Walter on August 13, 2015 at 6:30 pm

Deltia, love the guides but how do you keep enemies away/survive damage while channeling dark flare (single target) and wearing full light armor? Most times I have to block canceling my dps output

          • Wig on August 24, 2015 at 3:30 pm

I am using an redguard Templar build could I use the board and sword instead of the dual wield or does it not matter? Just tying utilize the racial skill set!

          • Deltia on August 25, 2015 at 2:46 pm

            Sure if you like.

          • AL16 on October 10, 2015 at 1:33 am

BTW can you make a PvE/PvP build for Battery too? :3

          • Deltia on October 10, 2015 at 4:14 pm

Depends on content, Trials Battery Omega for Dungeons

        • Deltia on December 3, 2015 at 2:52 pm

No different race, use puncturing sweeps and a taunt you’ll be fine.

    • Benny on December 3, 2015 at 1:17 am

Deltia i just started a benton templar can you help please on what skills i need to heal and tank…. or do i need to do a different race……i been watching videos but i cant seem to grasp the info yet

    • Deltia on April 8, 2015 at 8:05 pm

      Yes playing on PS4.

      • Hans on May 4, 2015 at 7:26 am

Hey Deltia been watching your videos pretty religiously. One of the reasons I picked up playing ESO again. I have the PC version and am also jumping on the ps4. Do you play destiny also or no?

        • Deltia on May 4, 2015 at 1:01 pm

I do not, just one game ESO all the time.

      • NapTimeNatz1 on July 7, 2015 at 3:44 am

hey was just wondering if you are still playing on the ps4. would be interested in picking your brain. the name is my GT, im a v1 almost 2 templar. cheers

        • Deltia on July 8, 2015 at 7:32 pm

Yes, but I’m usually set to offline. If you need to ask me a question, best do it through my website contact page.

  3. Luke on April 8, 2015 at 4:22 pm

Hey Deltia… I stumbled across your videos a few weeks ago and those are the only reason I decided to pick this game up and i’m having a blast. I’ve been leveling up a sorc shadowing your “Ignition” build and its been amazing even when leveling.

However, now that ive seen this Templar video im conflicted. This looks like insane fun, insane survivability and just crushes everything. Keep up the videos, they are genuinely inspirational!!!

    THANK YOU!

    • NetflixNChiill on March 11, 2016 at 12:15 am

People say spell erosion is bugged and not to put more than 1 point in there ATM sorry if this was already mentioned

  4. Dimi on April 8, 2015 at 4:46 pm

    thanks for this.
Any chance of a crafting video maybe?

    • Deltia on April 8, 2015 at 8:01 pm

Yeah I do have something planned for crafting.

  5. Gigadee on April 9, 2015 at 4:34 pm

    Hey Deltia,
Do you plan on doing a leveling build for NB?

    • Deltia on April 10, 2015 at 7:31 pm

      Just posted.

  6. EmbraceTheVoid on April 9, 2015 at 8:48 pm

Just a heads-up, the Level 11 to 25 video embedment is linked to the Level 1 to 10 video. Keep up the great work….

  7. Koldrin on April 9, 2015 at 11:00 pm

Any reason for High Elf over Brenton for this build? If factoring in for end game PVP would you still choose the High Elf? Thanks for taking the time to read and respond.

    • Deltia on April 10, 2015 at 7:33 pm

Yes for damage, passive elemental damage.

  8. LeoNine on April 10, 2015 at 3:35 pm

I have not though I’ll post it if I do.

  9. shane on April 10, 2015 at 8:16 pm

what are you putting all of your attribute points into?

    • Deltia on April 13, 2015 at 7:28 pm

      All magicka

  10. kenneth on April 11, 2015 at 12:15 pm

Hey deltia. I enjoy your webside and All og ur builds. My main character is a high elf templar, mainly using this lvling build. Hes VR2 so im curious to know when u will post videos of ur lvling from 26 and on? 🙂

    • Deltia on April 13, 2015 at 9:06 pm

      I don’t have a time frame atm.

  11. Scott M. on April 11, 2015 at 3:56 pm

I have a vet 14 templar healer and I was just trting to put together my skills for a dps load out. This post is greatly appreciated and I am toying with it for my DPS build. However, what would you suggest for endgame PVP/PVE gear? I like the martial knowledge set but it is quite expensive now because people are using it for their sorcs. Any suggestions?

Also, would you change any skills for endgame as opposed to leveling?

    • Deltia on April 13, 2015 at 9:12 pm

The ignition gear for my sorc would go well.

  12. Wandererfreedom on April 12, 2015 at 7:33 pm

when starting this part of the build when is the best time to restat and switch out to your new ult from the 1-10 build

  13. Vortigen on April 13, 2015 at 5:50 am

Thank you for this. I have just returned to ESO and picked up my lvl 26 Khajit Templar with this build. It works really, really well. I hope you will continue with a lvl 26-50 video. But so far your current build rocks 🙂

    • Vortigen on April 13, 2015 at 5:59 am

Oh, I forgot to ask something. Do you think it’s worth it to reroll a new Templar with a new race like Breton or High Elf for the racials? So far my Khajit works well at lvl 27 but I’d hate to “gimp” myself later on.

      • Deltia on April 13, 2015 at 7:39 pm

Yes, Khajiit has no resource passive making it very hard at end game with a game focused on ZERO diminishing returns.

  14. Desolationz on April 13, 2015 at 10:55 am

Can this build become an effective healer at end game? I went with Argonian.

    • Deltia on April 13, 2015 at 7:39 pm

No, it’s meant for DPS I have a separate build The Battery for healing.

      • Cory on July 28, 2015 at 5:18 am

Where is this Battery build at i can’t find it for some reason

      • yogadude on September 11, 2015 at 5:46 pm

Hey Deltia, was wondering if putting some CP into increasing magic damage would be viable. Noticed most of the CP you put in are in blessed which confuses me since this is a dps build. Love the builds!

        • Deltia on September 12, 2015 at 11:45 pm

Pumping up Thurmatger will increase your damage yes.

  15. Bman22690 on April 14, 2015 at 3:40 am

Hey sick videos man….question. Would this build end game give your ignition sorc any competition with dps? I want to make a caster dps character

    • Deltia on April 14, 2015 at 7:16 pm

Yeah I honestly think so. I need some missing gear and passives than I’ll be posting massive DPS.

  16. Bman22690 on April 14, 2015 at 8:30 pm

Dude thats badass to hear because im leveling this now and its soo good. One more question….the damage counter you use.. is it no longer supported in FTC? Or can you recommend another one? The like breakdown dps chart

    • Deltia on April 15, 2015 at 11:41 am

FTC still works but you can use Cloud Combat.

  17. Leonine on April 14, 2015 at 10:59 pm

I was wondering how your omega Templar does n Pvp

    • Deltia on April 15, 2015 at 11:42 am

I haven’t really PvP’d on him and have to my Imperial Templar.

  18. Megadeath on April 15, 2015 at 8:20 pm

Hey Deltia, I want to level my templar from 10 to 50 in PVP. Could you do a video on how battle leveled effects your stats and what equipment etc is useful/useless when battle leveled?

    • Deltia on April 16, 2015 at 6:31 pm

      In the future perhaps.

  19. Jonathan Baron on April 16, 2015 at 8:46 am

Good guide filled with useful information, game play that proves your points, and plenty of uncomplicated enthusiasm.

As important, however, than builds is your ABM doctrine: always be moving. Although common to MOBAs and FPS games it can be alien to players of button masher MMOs. Plus, with a stock keyboard and mouse setup, constant and fluid motion can be a bit of a challenge.

I’ve looked over your guides and wonder, have you made one on the controls you use?

    • Deltia on April 16, 2015 at 6:33 pm

Like keybinds? No not yet though I plan on doing something in the future.

      • Jonathan Baron on April 17, 2015 at 10:42 am

        Something like that, yes.

Given the layout of the keyboard and the architecture of human hands it would be amusing to see someone try to seemlessly move while executing skills while weaving light and heavy attacks with a stock configuration 😉

What you assign to your gaming mouse and your custom keybinding would be interesting, as would the setups of others.

Clearly your jump key is always at the read *smiles*

        • Deltia on April 18, 2015 at 6:11 pm

LOLZ I’ll explain why I just. Alright fine I’ll make a keybind video now.

        • John on April 22, 2015 at 8:40 pm

I use the Razer Naga (6 button hex formation) mouse and the SteelSeries Merc Stealth keyboard for ESO. It allows me a nice, natural (quick) fluidity for this game… it’s been very effective for me. I also keybind my Ultimate to my “6” button on my mouse. Effortless! 🙂

  20. mangavideo on April 16, 2015 at 7:35 pm

Hi Deltia, I love your builds and hope that you continue your great work. My question here is, why lycantropy?

    • Deltia on April 18, 2015 at 6:08 pm

Why not? It gives you 15% combat stamina regeneration just for having the skill line unlocked with zero downside.

  21. Zulnir on April 16, 2015 at 8:02 pm

What is the armor load out? Looks like you are wearing some heavy armor? 2 Heavy and the rest light?

  22. I am Machine on April 17, 2015 at 12:50 am

No puncturing sweep? Surprised that skills isnt worked in on one of the bars D.

    • Deltia on April 18, 2015 at 6:10 pm

It will be later on in the game after I’ve unlocked more skills in the lines.

  23. Pandahkills on April 17, 2015 at 3:07 am

Just wondering why you decided to be a werewolf and not a vampire. Wouldn’t the vampire passives work better for a caster? Sorry if you answered this in the vids, but I have yet to watch them.

  24. toca79 on April 17, 2015 at 5:19 pm

Can you please tell me what mods are you using?

  25. DiabloMuerto on April 19, 2015 at 1:15 am

I’m curious as to how you got about unlocking your skill lines to have most them 30 or so at level 25? Is it bonuses from crafted gear that allows that or is that purely placing all skills from a line single line on your bar and knocking it out that way?

Just seems like you progress your skill lines a lot faster than I can, though I’m very new to the game so I know that’s part of it.

  26. Doug Johnson on April 21, 2015 at 12:21 am

FYI, the second video is the same as the first one (level 1-10).

  27. David Bray on April 21, 2015 at 3:26 pm

    Hey Deltia,

desperately waiting for the next part, I’m V1 now. Could you give me a quick tip which abilities to put in the bars. Thanks a lot.

    • Deltia on April 21, 2015 at 10:27 pm

Entropy, inner light, purifying light spam shock until 40% health than god mode jesus beam.

  28. Andrea on April 24, 2015 at 6:16 pm

Deltia, what is god mode jesus beam? lol

    • mangavideo on April 27, 2015 at 7:40 am

      I can answer that… 🙂 Radiant Destruction, 5th skill in Dawn’s Wrath.

  29. NurseDaddy on April 27, 2015 at 8:58 pm

Just joined you on twitch today was wondering a few things
1 what is your approach to leveling grind or quest
2 was the temp you were on a variant of this build ?

    • Deltia on April 28, 2015 at 9:22 pm

      1) I just do main story, guild quests, dolmens, world bosses and zero sidequest.
      2) What I was playing today is Bubble Trouble but I need more experience before I update the build.

  30. Loli on April 28, 2015 at 12:31 am

Now at 40 after levelling with the Omega build. It’s been great, eagerly awaiting your next video 40-50.

  31. Angel on May 1, 2015 at 9:19 pm

Love your work and thanks for sharing. Ditched my NB (also using your buld on that and it’s as amazing as this) to try this, it friggin awesome. Just wanted to confirm the leveling idea on main story, guild q, dolmens and bosses, you usually end up in the right level for the next zone. What you could add to that is all the lorebooks and skyshards.

When it comes to armor, what do you think about the seducer’s set? Can’t say I really feel that you lack magica when grinding but a boss can drain it and I need to top up with a magica potion.

    • Angel on May 1, 2015 at 9:21 pm

Forgot to add that I ment the 5 set bonus

    • Deltia on May 4, 2015 at 12:50 pm

Yes and doing all the skyshard dungeons (delves).

Seducers rock though it has minimal damage increase, but you can cast for days.

      • Ryan on July 24, 2015 at 5:34 am

What traits do i need to research to craft seducers? Is there a website with this information (other set’s traits)

  32. ReHackt on May 2, 2015 at 1:02 am

What do you do with your stuff when it’s broken ? Do you repair it or do you make a new set ?

Also, did you stick to this build until lvl 50 or a new video will come soon ? 🙂

    Thx for you work !

    • Deltia on May 4, 2015 at 12:51 pm

Yeah I also repair all of it.

I recorded 24 hours of PvP footage I need to edit at around level 45. So yeah, I’ll show you how to PvP as a DPS magicka Templar.

  33. Valkeneer on May 3, 2015 at 11:33 pm

I am really interested in what you have for store for this build after 25. I can’t wait for an update.

    • Angel on May 5, 2015 at 1:19 pm

What I did was just continue down the same path and taking all passives except the restoring light ones. Still using the same skills at L41 and aoe grinding is not hard at all. I bet you can easily keep doing the same over and over again until you hit 50. Second bar for bosses also works like a charm.

If you use the same gear you can just keep spamming because you have no trouble with magica what so ever.

  34. Nzkiwi on May 8, 2015 at 5:08 am

    Nice work.
Was fun but preferred the stamina 2 handed for pve.
    2 button win
2handed dps seems fine to me
    staff for secondary

  35. Ccool14 on May 13, 2015 at 1:55 pm

Awesome! I’m glad this build got an update. I’m guessing you switched from Altmer to Dunmer for the fire resistance. My character is an Altmer, so should I still go vampire or just forget about it?

    • Deltia on May 13, 2015 at 7:40 pm

Yeah, pure damage high elf is way better, I just like Dunmer now. I went dunmer vamp but you don’t need it as High Elf.

  36. Kebly on May 13, 2015 at 3:53 pm

    Hi Deltia!
On your first to videos you are high elf Templar. Now in the endgame video it shows Dark Elf?Did you start a new character? And why?Is DE better then HE? Thanks, and lov your videos, keep them coming.

    • Deltia on May 13, 2015 at 7:40 pm

I deleted my level 28 EP character, rerolled on DC with a Dunmer. High Elf is still the optimal choice.

  37. Kebly on May 13, 2015 at 3:54 pm

    sry,i ment first two

  38. Cardos on May 13, 2015 at 4:45 pm

Cheers Deltia, I’m a new player and, as I picked Templar for my first class, this guide has been a big help in making levelling a painless experience while I’ve been enjoying the story.

Happy to see the latest instalment, but your race and infection have changed for veteran levels 🙂

Just hit 49 so looking forward to trying new things and mixing it up a bit.

  39. Mavius89 on May 14, 2015 at 1:31 am

Hey Delita, awesome videos, and a great site! I was wondering why you switched from high elf? Im just going to be starting the game on xbox one, and i really like the looks of this build. Which would be better to roll, and why?

    • Deltia on May 15, 2015 at 6:55 pm

High Elf is best, just like Dunmer.

  40. John on May 16, 2015 at 5:08 pm

Hi Deltia, nice build! I’m wondering about the duration of some buffs. Since both Inner Light and Vampire’s Bane give the spell critical buff: Major Prophecy, I was curious if you knew the duration for either. I’m assuming Inner Light is “always on” and that Vampire’s Bane is for the duration of the burning. Any insight’s? Also, I have that nagging question with Structured Entropy… what is the duration of Major Sorcery (spell damage)? Next attack only – like Empower? Or for a certain duration? Again, any insights are appreciated. Thank you for what you do… I appreciate you!

    • Deltia on May 18, 2015 at 12:47 pm

They don’t stack, so if you have inner light on than cast Vampire’s Bane, your crit doesn’t change. Basically you use VB for the DoT. The Empower from Entropy is around 8 seconds I think. It says in the tooltip.

      • John on May 21, 2015 at 8:14 pm

Thank you for your response. The Entropy answer for Empower is helpful… thank you. Do you happen to know the DURATION (not yelling, accentuating) of Major Prophecy for Vampire’s Bane and/or Major Sorcery for Structured Entropy? I’ve looked high and low and no one seems to know… “Help me Obi Wan, you’re my only hope!” Thanks again! 🙂

        • Deltia on May 23, 2015 at 2:13 pm

5 seconds I think on Entropy and 8 seconds on Vampires.

          • John on May 23, 2015 at 5:29 pm

            Awesome, thank you!

  41. Enerki on May 16, 2015 at 7:05 pm

    Hi Deltia,
thanks for the awesome guides you’re sharing with all of us.
My question: I am a v9 Templar now and I crafted myself some green gear almost like the stuff you have at v1 – still I am nowhere near the stats that you have… except for spell power – same amount as you have in your video and still, my Purifying Light tooltip reads a dmg amount of 7915 and yours over 11000; how do you do that?

    • Deltia on May 18, 2015 at 12:47 pm

Well I have 200 champion points…..so yeah might not be the same 🙂

  42. Mavius89 on May 20, 2015 at 5:21 am

Hey Deltia, in a recent video you pointed out the fact of dual wield being superior to staves. Would you also recommend the for lvling over the staff shown in this video series?

  43. Anonwe on May 24, 2015 at 6:19 am

Thanks for your hard work in bringing valuable information to the community. I am leveling a vet ranked templar with a similar spec, and I was wondering how the damage of dark flare as in your video compares to using crushing shock with light attack weaving?

    • Deltia on May 25, 2015 at 9:31 pm

      I haven’t ran a comparison.

  44. Joham C on May 25, 2015 at 4:04 pm

Hey there, Deltia. Been following your Omega build for the first few levels (almost level 12 now) and I’m loving it. I do wanna use a resto staff for my back bar rather than another destro, for better healing when I group up with friends pretty soon. What skills would you recommend on my back bar in that case if I’m still using a destro staff for my main bar?

    • Deltia on May 25, 2015 at 9:34 pm

Well that’s up to you if you change the build. Templar’s don’t need a Resto staff to heal, just breath of life.

  45. Daniel on May 26, 2015 at 2:42 am

for the end game pve does it matter what type of dual weapons I use? I wanted to use axes.

    • Deltia on May 26, 2015 at 6:52 pm

      yes, swords > all else

  46. Sigmars Blessing on May 26, 2015 at 4:50 am

    Awesome….just awesome!
On your Templar Omega leveling build you appear to be using a High Elf.
On your new Omega DPS build posted to Youtube 5/25/15, you are using a Dark Elf (name: Two Beams).
Did you choose the Dark Elf for PvP, or am I missing something?

  47. Poundcake on May 26, 2015 at 6:31 am

Why you are using Destro over DW? The DW spell pwr bonus seems better?

  48. Archaegeo on May 26, 2015 at 11:41 am

Seconding Mavius’s question, would you recommend doing dual wield earlier now that you have discovered their power? Or stick with dest/dest?

    • Deltia on May 26, 2015 at 6:52 pm

      No stick with staff.

  49. Naerven on May 26, 2015 at 8:08 pm

I do have a magicka based templar with DD in mind.

What i went down to level it fun and easy, and because i wanted basically switch it to heal afterwards: Pure Magicka based, but with a 2H sword – for a reason:

Its fun to play. Fells more action-packed to meele than ranged. 2H because Charge as a gap-closer wich is really beneficial if morphed for additional damage on distance because I start approaching mobs with Aurora Javelin – gaining damage on range + knockback thus increasing the impact of charge. And then im in with puncturing sweep or empowering sweep if the group is larger.

  50. Madison on May 26, 2015 at 8:41 pm

I really enjoy playing the PvE DPS version for the omega templar, but my group often relies on me for some emergency healing in the 4 person dungeons, but AoE damage is well covered by our sorcerer.

I figured it would be good to swap repentance for entropy, but was wondering if you would put in anything else or if the other skills are too important?

  51. Sigmars Blessing on May 27, 2015 at 3:55 am

Love the build, but have a question.
I would rather roll a Breton (don’t care for the High Elf look). You are using Dark Elf, which works great paired with vampire. In you latest video you use vampire abilities for PvP.
Would a Dark Elf be better if you’re going vampire?
I assume the Breton would be a better caster race than Dark Elf, but maybe in PvP the Dark Elf is a better choice?

  52. John on May 27, 2015 at 10:03 am

Hello Deltia. Is your tanking pve guide that coming soon also able to be used while leveling? I don’t mind fast leveling, templar will be my first character and I ll play in PS4..I ll do every quest and smell the flowers and such.

I don’t want to play him like a “mage” (I ll keep that playstyle for my sorcerer). I want to play him like a “paladin”. I just want to be able to solo delves and maybe some world bosses. I hope your tank build will be able to do so 🙂

I plan to go like this: http://i.imgur.com/MhqdxFp.png until 40+ and then start bumping skills on other passives and abilities.

    • Helios101 on June 5, 2015 at 4:56 am

You cant use “Inner Light” on one bar only. If you toggle it on in your restoration staff bar, you’d have to keep re-applying it. The reason for this is, when you have it toggled, and switch to your sword and board, it will turn off, because it is not in your sword and shield bar. You need to put Inner Light in both bars if you don’t want to constantly keep re-toggling it, and only getting its effects in the staff bar.

      • Helios101 on June 5, 2015 at 4:58 am

Hold on, now I see after taking another look at it, you only have 9 moves. This must be because you know about having to double bar inner light XD. Sorry about that.

  53. HwKz on May 27, 2015 at 12:54 pm

What is now better for a templar Darkelf or Highelf?

  54. yuky on May 27, 2015 at 6:16 pm

I want your opinion on which character and build should i make next. Sorc using your ignition build or this templar, do you think the ignition sorc build is still strong? how much weaker compare to templar?

    • Deltia on May 30, 2015 at 3:28 pm

Yes still strong now I have much more CP.

  55. Mavius89 on May 27, 2015 at 9:11 pm

Hey Deltia, I’m going to be using an Altmer for my Omega Templar, and I wanted to know if I should go Vampire for the bonuses it adds, and if so how do I make up for not being a dunmer with the fire resist?

    • Deltia on May 30, 2015 at 3:43 pm

Add fire resist to jewelry or champ points.

      • Mavius89 on May 31, 2015 at 12:37 am

        Ok thanks!

  56. stefano on May 29, 2015 at 5:06 pm

    hi deltia.
i like a lot this build and i ty for your tutorial

  57. Jeff on May 29, 2015 at 10:37 pm

How do you think the DPS compares to your laceration build dk? Both are awesome.
If optimizing your laceration build would you now go with dual wield swords for bigger damage?

  58. Dom on May 30, 2015 at 9:14 am

Hello, thx for the guide but i wonder what race is the best for the pvp version ? i see darkelf but you say highelf to. thx for your awesome job

  59. Trevorn on May 31, 2015 at 12:40 am

Awesome looking build but the lvl 1-10 video link plays the 11-25 video.
How does this build DPS compare to other classes end game PvE dps? I don’t want to get passed for groups all the time as dps.

    • Deltia on May 31, 2015 at 6:24 pm

It’s my highest yet so good.

  60. Trevorn on May 31, 2015 at 12:45 am

Also it looks like you were High Elf but then in the PvE DPS video it shows you as Dunmer. Not sure what I missed there. Which race do you recommend?

    • Deltia on May 31, 2015 at 6:25 pm

I deleted one and started over.

      • Trevor's on May 31, 2015 at 7:59 pm

Since you started over do you recommend high elf instead of dark? I’m looking to be pve dps but also dabble in pvp

        • Deltia on June 1, 2015 at 7:35 pm

          Yes or Breton

  61. Tosher on May 31, 2015 at 10:28 am

Is that right that you don’t use any healing skill in your PVE Build?

  62. HeroKell on June 1, 2015 at 5:05 am

Hey Deltia, I just rolled a dc temp and I want to focus on pvp leveling him…would you recommend leveling with the pvp build or pve 1-50 build?

  63. Kyle on June 2, 2015 at 12:58 am

love this build, but also want to be able to tank and heal, is this possible with this build? or do I need to be stam/health focused. was also thinking of choosing imperial instead of high elf if i went this route

  64. Thomas on June 3, 2015 at 10:35 am

Hi Deltia, just wound your site throught “The Elder Scrolls Online” facebook page and glad I did.
Havnt played for months but have an urge to come back.

Just a quick question, what armor are you wearing in these vids? I am kind of a fashion freak 😛

Will def roll a new char when I get home 🙂

    • Deltia on June 3, 2015 at 1:32 pm

It’s linked in the post scroll down.

      • Thomas on June 4, 2015 at 6:33 am

        Thanks Deltia.
I was more refering to the fact that the appearence of the armor.

It doesn’t look like your typical level 12 armor.

Not sure if there are some kind of transmogs in Eso thats been added or something or if i am just dumb and missing something.

        • Thomas on June 4, 2015 at 6:40 am

Found it! Great, just have to become VR 10 haha

  65. John on June 4, 2015 at 1:58 am

Hi Deltia. Thank you for finishing this build… most enjoyable character I’ve played. Can you give any background or insights as to why dual wield swords if better than fire staff with disease or poison on it? I’m curious how swords offer more damage. Thanks!

    • Caster on June 4, 2015 at 1:24 pm

Deltia has a video on it on the site somewhere, but basically dual swords provides more spell power than staves do which of course means more damage.

Also wanted to add thanks for the fun build and informative site Deltia.

  66. Zevoticus on June 4, 2015 at 1:44 pm

Hey Deltia! Awesome job on all your builds and they look sick! I appreciate the time and effort you put into sharing them with us. I was just looking at the PVP Damage Dealer build and the picture shows 10 Magicka and 52 Health but in the description below it’s 52 Magicka and 10 Health. I am guessing the picture is the one with the correct attribute allocation? Not sure if anyone pointed it out though…

  67. Helios101 on June 4, 2015 at 11:47 pm

Hey, just a quick question Deltia. When you posted the final PvE DPS v14 video, you said that the healer and tank build would come in a few days, then the PVP after that. Then you released the PVP build a few days afterwards, and the tank and healer have yet to come. Its been a week since the PVP build, so I was wondering when they were coming out, if you have an ETA?

  68. Will on June 8, 2015 at 5:32 pm

Hey man, thanks for the awesome guide! Just wondering though, wouldnt you get higher dps if you use a few dots, such as vampires bane or destructive reach, as well as purifying light? You could stick them on your first bar and then medium weave inbetween them. Would this produce higher dps or would it take away from the dark flare? Because then you could also use skoria set
    Just wondering 🙂

  69. Jay on June 9, 2015 at 12:02 pm

Hi, thanks for the build, I’ve finally reached VR1 (im not online very much) and have re-skilled, I’m having trouble with solo AoE, packs, till VR1 it was just: blazing spear, run at pack, while reflective light, when at stunned pack solar barrage and spam elemental ring (didnt take much spamming) but worked flawlessly.

Now its dark flare and no reflective light, i find the mob are too hard to contain. Do you have any suggestions? I’ve tried to get used to sweeps, but find enemies behind me, constantly getting the spear in the wrong direction, pulsar doesnt seem as effective as ring. HELP? 🙂

    • Deltia on June 22, 2015 at 7:14 pm

Use blazing spear to stun them in place.

  70. Only on June 10, 2015 at 6:37 pm

I’m very new to ESO (XBO) and Ive just started a Templar. Couple of questions as I’m not entirely sure it would work.

    1. Is this the recommended leveling build (ie: reasonably fast).

    2. Ultimately I would prefer to play the Shredder build. Would the Omega build be able to respec into that or is that not realistic?

    • Deltia on June 22, 2015 at 7:21 pm

Leveling depends on your speed not the builds. Yes.

  71. Evervan on June 10, 2015 at 9:07 pm

Hi deltia. Your guides are very helpful. I’m very interested in seeing your Templar battery build. Can you create a post for it?

  72. Evervan on June 10, 2015 at 9:46 pm

Hi. I posted but I don’t see it. Any possibility of seeing a post in the future on your Templar battery build?

  73. Thomas on June 21, 2015 at 7:24 am

    Hey Deltia,
I am LOVING this build. Quick question tho.

I am level 33 now still using the 25 build. Is this the build I should run with until VR1 and then respec or when should I respec?

Or if anyone else can answer it I would really appreciate it.

Another question, watched the pvP vid and it looks really nice but is vampire a must have for the pvp seing as I was thinking of going werewolf for the PvE (Ye i kinda like having one char and respeccing for what I want to do)

    • Deltia on June 22, 2015 at 7:27 pm

Yeah just wait to respec. Go WW if you want more stamina and less downside.

  74. Bearded Nom Nom on June 22, 2015 at 6:34 pm

Thanks awesome video! I wish I would have watched this video before I started my Templar. I did very similar things but made a few mistakes with some of the skill points.

  75. lmao on June 23, 2015 at 12:42 am

What do you reccomend doing at 25-50?

    • Deltia on June 23, 2015 at 6:38 pm

I contiuned to access the later skills in skill lines and added new abilities for the vr1 build as I got them.

  76. isco23 on June 23, 2015 at 2:17 pm

hi deltia do you craft your own euqipment or do you loot ?

  77. Demonhart on June 23, 2015 at 4:56 pm

    Hey deltia

Your guides are amazing. I’m new to eso and have decided I’m going to focus on healing. The only problem is that leveling a healer is slow and dull. My question is does it make sense and is it possible to UAE this build to level/heal the lower level content and then respec to your battery build for endgame or even late game? The battery build is what I’m interested in but it looks tough to level that. Thanks

    • Deltia on June 23, 2015 at 6:44 pm

Respec at end game, just use puncturing sweeps repentance until VR14 easy mode.

    Hello deltia!

Which build would you say is best pve wise, dunmer dk or dunmer omega templar. And I wanna play as dunmer because I love it. And im new to ESO so im from scratch. So which build of these 2 would be best to start with?? 🙂

    • Nixe on June 24, 2015 at 12:10 pm

      Someone? 🙂

    • Deltia on June 24, 2015 at 5:25 pm

Templar is easier DK is harder but better results.

  79. James on June 23, 2015 at 10:53 pm

I seem to be really struggling at level 19-20. My biggest issue is once my magic is gone, I’m screwed. I use my magic to keep me alive, for the healing spell you suggested. It could be just my playing style, I’m new and really don’t know what I’m doing lol. Any tips for me? Also, what passives should I use?

    Thanks

    • Deltia on June 24, 2015 at 5:27 pm

Focus on light armor passives which I talk about in the video.

  80. daniel on June 24, 2015 at 12:17 am

hi delta what do u suggest high elf templar or dark elf templar

  81. DonHaensl on June 24, 2015 at 12:39 pm

    Hey Deltia,

still waiting for the Tank (and most important) Heal built. As DD I cannot find groups. But Healers are always looked for.

    Hansi

  82. Demonhart on June 24, 2015 at 1:57 pm

Thanks for the response. Played this build up to level 7 last night and it’s soo easy. Really fun build to play too.

  83. Skyxan on June 24, 2015 at 3:01 pm

Hey guys, so I’m new to Eso and I want to make a Templar. I have a Night Blade so I know a little bit on how to play but I have a few questions. The main one is how do you level up with the mage guild? I really like the Templar builds on here but I see that most of the more magic based builds need mage light.

    • Deltia on June 24, 2015 at 5:30 pm

Through lore books found throughout the world. I have a map that shows them.

  84. Atactical on June 25, 2015 at 6:36 pm

When do you recommend to get the light armor passives? I’ve just been getting them whenever I have extra skill points.

  85. Azuos on June 25, 2015 at 11:18 pm

hey Deltia i was wondering would you prefer templar or DK for dps? can’t decide on which one to go

    • Azuos on June 25, 2015 at 11:21 pm

For PvE i mean, and for pvp whats your preference?

    • Deltia on June 29, 2015 at 11:40 am

I like both honestly. One range one up close in personal.

  86. zanthrin on June 27, 2015 at 7:29 pm

hey deltia i was wondering as a high elf would vampirism increase the damage enough to make the extra fire damage taken worth it or is it best to go werewolf? i prefer vampire but dont want to gimp myself to much.

    • Deltia on June 29, 2015 at 11:56 am

Depends on a lot of factors. The fire damage sucks, but can be mitigated by champ points and skill. Try it, see if it works you can always “rage” cure it.

  87. Denzel on June 28, 2015 at 10:27 pm

Omega Templar rules! Is there a tank version of omega coming soon?

    • Deltia on June 29, 2015 at 12:05 pm

Once I get a chance to tank high pressure situations.

  88. Peritus on June 30, 2015 at 5:52 am

Hey D., someone may have already asked….
Do you think putting increased skill trait on your gear is better/same/ or less than putting increased disco. xp to getting more xp into the areas you want.

    Thanks.

    • Deltia on July 1, 2015 at 10:23 pm

      Exploration? Not that worth it.

  89. kevin on June 30, 2015 at 9:29 am

so u go from caster to leveling to tank when u do PVP ?

    • Deltia on July 1, 2015 at 10:26 pm

I go for tanky builds in low level PvP.

  90. Colby on July 1, 2015 at 3:25 am

Hey Deltia, I’m new to ESO and I wanted to make a templar. Originally I wanted to make a Heavy armor, sword/shield, with some resto magic type character for a tank and few healing spells to sustain me. But after seeing this I want to try this. Can this be done as an Imperial? Or would that hinder me in end-game?

    • Deltia on July 1, 2015 at 10:29 pm

Oh yeah, Imperial works with everything.

  91. Thomas on July 1, 2015 at 4:22 pm

Is dual wield only viable at vr14? Vr1 now and just wondering if I should still stick with the staffs.

Feels like I hit a brick wall once I reached vr1 tho. Takes forever to level up now 🙁 Its still easy tho being able to solo bosses and dolmens 🙂

  92. Dray on July 2, 2015 at 7:04 am

Hey man really good guide! When is the tank build coming?

    • Deltia on July 2, 2015 at 4:23 pm

      Still working on it 🙂

  93. Saleen121212 on July 2, 2015 at 2:12 pm

Love your guides. Is this build still viable for late game content with all the recent updates? I am very new to the game and loving the DPS Templar (dark elf). I like that it can easily have a bar for multi-targets or single target and put out lots of damage.

    • Deltia on July 2, 2015 at 4:25 pm

Oh yeah, playing it right now in between dungeons. Did 25k single target on Skoria.

  94. Sindiel on July 2, 2015 at 9:48 pm

Just curious as to why you chose mages guild passives for the PvP Omega Damage Dealer? and Concentration in the light armor part?

    • Deltia on July 3, 2015 at 9:07 pm

Well there’s no disadvantage in taking them.

      • Sindiel on July 5, 2015 at 6:10 pm

True, but Concentration in light armor goes off when you have five pieces of light armor equipped and on your PvP Omega templar he is only rocking two pieces of light armor 😛 Not hating absolutely love the build!

  95. Atactical on July 2, 2015 at 11:59 pm

Another quick question. I am currently level 35 and loving this build. I understand you recommend using the level 25 build up until VR, but I just unlocked Radiant Destruction and was wondering if it was worth taking up a skill slot from another skill. If you do think it should take up a slot, which skill do you recommend to get rid of? It seems to hit really hard.

    • Deltia on July 3, 2015 at 9:08 pm

Probably purify. It’s a very hard choice though 🙂

  96. Carl on July 3, 2015 at 9:49 am

Hey Deltia, I have been watching almost all your guides. Very detailed and helpful so thank you for that. I was just wondering about the which race to play with breton or highelf. The breton seems to be the obvious choice for pvp due to the spell resistance. The main question is about the highelf passive that increases their damage with fire, shock and ice. Aren’t templar abilities holy/light magic ? Which means this highelf passive would only work when using destruction staff. If this is the case, wouldnt a breton be better off for pve content ? Since we get the extra magica as well as reduced cost.

    • Deltia on July 3, 2015 at 9:14 pm

Ones more damage, ones more survivable I personally love Breton.

  97. Tact474 on July 3, 2015 at 3:51 pm

As a VR2 Breton Templar I tried this build and it works really well. However, when not fighting a dungeon boss, just spamming Puncturing Sweep works better. Even on world bosses and dolmens. It is really off putting for the class to just hit 1 move 99% of the time. I’ve tried adding the moves that boost your spell damage and crit, but its mana spent that isn’t healing me or interrupting a mob. Am I missing something? I’d hate to roll a new class and start over. Am I playing Puncturing Sweep Online?

    • Deltia on July 3, 2015 at 9:22 pm

It is sadly, at end game it becomes a Dark Flare spamming class.

  98. DHG SHELLSHOCK on July 4, 2015 at 9:32 am

I am a high elf and just hit VR1 on Xbox yesterday.. I’m doing lorebook runs to level mages guild and while I was numbing my mind to that I was watching the guide videos and was curious if I should get rid of werewolf and become a vampire.. I wouldn’t have the summer racial passives of fire resistance so I didn’t know if the reward would be worth the cost… What is your advice?

    • DHG SHELLSHOCK on July 4, 2015 at 9:33 am

      Dunmer racial passives*

  99. Nelus on July 5, 2015 at 11:34 am

Played since beta ended up rolling an argonian Templar based on looks, starting to regret it.
Tried alot of builds and im still working hard on getting it correct, burining light/sweeps spam is extremely boring, I decided to try out the darkflare, getting 24k crits, tried the x2 wormcult but im still convinced i pull more with skoria sword/axe nirn.

The one thing i noticed was on your PvE dark flare bar there was no aedric spear move for the extra 10% crit bonus, and you still managed to pull 19K. Did you experiment with this at all or is it to much to sacrifice a skill on your first bar?

Looking forward to the PvP DD build

    • Deltia on July 6, 2015 at 12:27 pm

      No I haven’t.

  100. saleen121212 on July 6, 2015 at 3:15 pm

For endgame content on your PVE damage dealer guide how do you balance the vampire negative side effects or does it not really effect you? It doesnt even look like you are using any vampire abilities and you are stage 4. Just curious if the benefits really out way the extra fire damage and slow as crap health regen?

    • Deltia on July 8, 2015 at 7:18 pm

Health regen isn’t a factor and with Champion Points vampire fire damage isn’t a problem either. Just wait until you have high CP or spell resistance.

  101. Jordan on July 7, 2015 at 10:10 am

Hey Deltia, do you think a destruction staff/ restoration staff would work in PvP? If so what would be the best race for that and should I put most of my points in magicka for that type of build?

    • Deltia on July 8, 2015 at 7:34 pm

Yes, best race I point out in the video.

  102. Bad Shots on July 7, 2015 at 6:45 pm

On your Dunmer PVP guide you show 10 points on Magicka and 52 on health but at the bottom its inverse which one should it be?

    thanks

    • Deltia on July 8, 2015 at 7:25 pm

Honestly don’t worry about attributes too much, I change it all the time depending on gear and passives.

  103. Andrew on July 8, 2015 at 1:38 am

I was confused on the dual wield portion of the video and how it increases spell damage by so much could you explain that? Thanks.

    • Deltia on July 8, 2015 at 7:27 pm

I honestly don’t know how it does.

  104. Judgemental on July 9, 2015 at 10:31 pm

Hey Deltia i have a question would the annulment skill be any good in pvp or pve as im leveling the skills ready for your healer build and thanks for finishing great work please keep up the epic Job

    • Deltia on July 10, 2015 at 6:21 pm

Yeah it’s very good especially if you don’t go sword and board.

  105. Terra on July 10, 2015 at 6:48 am

    I have a few questions.
For the PvE Healer would you be able to solo things efficiently or should i go for PvE Dps and modify one of the bars for some healing to be able to solo? Also i know you probably answer this all the time but is it okay to not be a vampire and be a werewolf instead because i already have that and is imperial okay too?

    • Deltia on July 10, 2015 at 6:24 pm

Not really and I’m a vampire Imperial on AD and did almost 10k vet dsa so yeah it’s no problem.

      • Terra on July 10, 2015 at 6:57 pm

Not really as in the healer wouldn’t be able to solo things effciently? and what is dsa? lol I’m a noob

        • Terra on July 11, 2015 at 1:38 am

I’m very confused by the not really part

        • Ssalaar on August 28, 2015 at 7:10 pm

Google states DSA as DragonStar Arena. (it really is your friend for educating yourself on ESO.)

  106. Josh on July 10, 2015 at 11:33 am

So if I’m a high elf with very few cp. Would it be best to wait for vampirism or go ahead and do it?

    • Deltia on July 10, 2015 at 6:25 pm

      Wait until VR.

  107. Steven on July 10, 2015 at 1:37 pm

So I made a imperial Templar will it be good for heals or start over?

    • Deltia on July 10, 2015 at 6:28 pm

It’ll work fine but Breton would be optimal in the end game.

  108. p0o on July 10, 2015 at 8:05 pm

I’m hoping the werewolf imperial will benefit in his PVE tank when he releases…woot.

  109. BlkCasper on July 10, 2015 at 8:23 pm

Hey what are your thoughts on a Nightblade healer? I cant seem to find a laid out build. I kno Templar is better healer just wondering if NB would also work?

    • Deltia on July 13, 2015 at 9:28 pm

Don’t like it in comparison to Templar.

  110. John on July 11, 2015 at 3:06 am

Just want to say great guide deltia. Loving the omega build. Everyone should read the comments I’m seeing a lot of repeated question, just like in stream lol

  111. John on July 11, 2015 at 3:16 am

And also wanted to add that being a non dark elf vampire is not that bad. At VR 7 don’t have alot of CP,but sacrifice an aoe or single targert skill(I usually go with pulsar or purifying light) for sun shield. Works good for me, especially for elder hallow vet fighting bogdan. Just cleared it as a first time healer, no wipes.

  112. Samuel on July 11, 2015 at 3:05 pm

    Hey Deltia,

I Want to do the healer build, should I follow the 1-25 leveling build, then respec to make the healer build?

  113. ...meh on July 11, 2015 at 3:28 pm

i get leveling builds and all these builds but why do game dose not force you to use this set weapon. why do all these builds make you use one weapon one only why cant you ever show how it works with other weapons i recently seen my friend use a omega leveling templar build with a bow and dagger and proved more viable as a destruction staff

  114. Boogy on July 11, 2015 at 9:30 pm

So I started following this build and you started off as high elf. But now you’re Breton. What’s the difference and should I switch?

    • Deltia on July 13, 2015 at 11:34 pm

Stats are difference, keep High Elf for more magic damagge.

  116. Drudge on July 13, 2015 at 11:37 am

How do you think the upcoming nerf to Radiant Oppression will affect your PvP build?

    • Deltia on July 13, 2015 at 11:41 pm

It will make it realistic as where I two shot almost everything now. It’s good for the game.

How do you see the nerf to Radiant Oppression affecting your PvP build?

  118. Ariel Dubon on July 14, 2015 at 2:35 am

    • Deltia on July 14, 2015 at 10:51 pm

Hist Bark for my DK Tank, don’t tank Templar yet.

  119. Davo31 on July 14, 2015 at 11:31 pm

Your build is helping a ton! One question, I’m a lvl 31 Breton with all my pts into magicka, when should I start adding health pts to my build and how many-ish? I do a lil bit of everything depending on online friends.

    Thank you.

Hi Deltia. I am a bosmer templar level 37 (bad choice, don’t do it:/), and I am currently a mainly magika build. I have trouble soloing enemies my own level (npcs), so I am looking to move over to a stam build, especially with the new updates to the templars. Is there any chance that you will be putting out an updated stam ww leveling templar build? If you weren’t already thinking of it, I think you should look into doing one! Also, how would I go about changing from a 1h sword + shield and resto staff to a stamina build like your original leveling templar build. Do you still recommend your original templar leveling build with the new updates to the game? I hope to hear from you soon:D

  122. Azeriath on July 17, 2015 at 7:19 am

    Hey Deltia,

I could have sworn I saw a video of the Omega Templar doing some Veteran dungeons or if it was DSA I am not sure. But it was with the DPS spec and I am almost 100% sure I didn’t see it on a livestream.

For some reason I can’t find that video anymore.
Would love to see some more of it since I am abit unsure how to handle the mobpacks in dungeons.

Watching the healing vid over and over while I am leveling my restostaff to become a good healer at end game but I do enjoy the DPS part aswell.

Can one have enough skillpoints to be both a healer and a DPS or will I have to respec to be one or another?

Thanks again for all you do for the ESO community, you are the best!

  130. Elder on July 20, 2015 at 8:06 pm

For pvp dps why wouldn’t you do exclusively dual wield? The spell and weapon dmg far exceeds that of a staff and just keep the main offhand the fire destro staff for those who you suspect are vamps? Just a few thoughts, I’m only vr2 right now with a similar build as this but I use heavy and medium gear primarily.

    • Deltia on July 21, 2015 at 6:46 pm

More spell power which I explain in the video.

Is this build the same on console or is console behind in patches?

    • Brudog127 on July 24, 2015 at 6:16 pm

It is the same. I play on xb1 and have loved using this build and it works as intended but i have learned the hard way that my gear needs a major upgrade now that i hit vr1. Vet dungeons are no joke and lv 46 gear isnt cutting it,but anyway at v1 im at 40/9/0 with 1100 spell power and 45% crit and using the end game bars and morphs. Just follow the vids and you will love it.

      • Brudog127 on July 24, 2015 at 6:22 pm

One change i made was using the apprentice mundus stone, got it early on and have had no reason to change it thus far. I use food for max magika and reduce spell cost glyphs.

  133. Allrong on July 23, 2015 at 4:48 pm

    • Brudog127 on July 25, 2015 at 1:43 am

All are and work just fine, the problem with console vs pc is only controller vs mouse and keyboard, and the lag spikes the consoles have right now

Yes which is in this article for PvE.

  136. Moose on July 26, 2015 at 5:16 pm

I’m about to roll an alt in anticipation of IC, either a Breton Templar or imperial Templar.

After the class changes in the next patch p, do you think Magicka or Stamina dps Templars will be superior?

    Thanks in advance.

    • Deltia on July 27, 2015 at 6:16 pm

Tough to say as I haven’t seen patch notes.

    • Travis Richardson on July 30, 2015 at 6:39 pm

After looking at the patch notes, I would say that the devs are trying to develop templar healers and leaning the way of magic role. I`m a Bret-lar and if you go that route YOU NEED MAGIC as your primary resource. If you role Imperial then I would make a more balanced build with stamina getting attention. I`m not sure what Lord Delt will say about the patch notes, but I would suggest going magicka when it comes to templar. If you wanna role stamina dps or solo-tank role I would look heavily into the patches they just did for DK`s. They got significant buffs. But if you wanna templar, I would suggest you go magicka or a pretty solid hybrid.

Hey Deltias, any advice? I’m following your build to a T but, world bosses and dungeon bosses stomp my shit hard. My standard rotation is to cast magelight then reflective light, and then backlash and force shock but,I get one shot by the bosses. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong. Do i need entropy or something? I’m only at 16 if that helps.

You probably need a tank or puncturing sweeps.

    • Alex on July 27, 2015 at 6:24 pm

Well being at lvl 16 you’re still at the point where most of my points were going to magicka rather than health. At 21 is when I started throwing points to health then stopped at like 35. Which should last you awhile until end game content. Also go snag the Lord mundus in Deshaan. It’s around mournhold

  138. Godfrey on July 28, 2015 at 7:03 am

Hi Deltia. I am VR6 Imperial Templar and yesterday I respecced as a healer like the above but I am finding it difficult now to continue levelling up or solo / aoe and seems the healer is only good for group dungeon. Any suggestions on what to use on my bars ?

    • Travis Richardson on July 30, 2015 at 6:33 pm

      Hey Bro,

I`m your same level and I`m rolling a Bret-lar. I was always always always have a damage bar of some kind when soloing.

      • Travis Richardson on July 30, 2015 at 6:35 pm

        Continuing,

I had a tank/heal bar combo for soloing for the longest time and its ludacris. Deltias` healing instruction vids even say that the best healers are via damage. You gotta get your resources to do some damage while in role or in solo. I would love to add and show you some of my build if you want.

        good luck my friend
        Trav

  139. Prisner on July 29, 2015 at 7:45 pm

Great website. I really appreciate all the effort you’ve put into sharing your knowledge and experience. Thank you. I haven’t even started playing the game, I am downloading the client right at this moment. Mostly interested in end game PvP, but I assume my life will be easier if I can offer the masses a heal spec’d templar while leveling up to V16. Assuming everything else can be re-spec’d later, I just don’t want to gimp myself at char create. With an eye on Update 7, for a Magicka DD Templar is Dunmer still considered best choice?

    • Ryan on August 1, 2015 at 2:37 am

I thought high elf was best? The build for omega uses a high elf

      • Alex on August 1, 2015 at 5:35 am

He initially used a high elf but if you watch the VR video it’s a dunmer for the fire immunity when you go and get vampire. It basically saves your ass from all the fire damage. Trust me, I used this build and pvp heavily and can last as long as anyone else.

  140. Hedgehowg on July 29, 2015 at 8:43 pm

    Hey Deltia.

I must say I honestly love your builds and followed almost every single one since my day one in ESO for my Nightblade and Sorcerer however I am planning to run a Stamina based DPS(or tank) Imperial Templar. Would you recommend any build for it if possible or which skill lines should I focus on mostly. I was planning to make an Imperial NB but I’m not sure if that is suitable with the up coming Imperial City DLC. So if you could assist me with a Stamina Imperial Templar build style I’d appreciate it a lot. Wanted to ask from the best 🙂

  141. Dieter d.C. on July 30, 2015 at 6:45 am

Hi Deltia, love your builds and you explain them REALY good. Love you work and hope to see more of it! Altough I have a question about this one. I want to go for the PvE Healing Templar build in the end. But do I need to follow the 1 – 25 leveling build and then start working on my healing skills or start with healing skills from the beginning? Dutch greets, Dieter

    • SaltyWorley on August 7, 2015 at 3:03 pm

Guessing the answer is yes if you will be playing solo for a good portion of the time you’re leveling up. Appears most of the healing skills apply to your group, so obviously if you’re soloing, you’re missing out on those benefits, whereas the offensive skills you get full benefit.

I guess if you’re primarily grouping from the beginning, you could go straight for the healing stuff since your group will benefit from that, but even then I’m guessing sticking to the plan as written will end up being better. Easier to compensate for a lack of healing ability with potions and such than to compensate for a lack of DPS/tanking ability.

      Just my guesses.

      • Deltia on August 8, 2015 at 12:53 pm

It’s due to self healing via Puncturing Sweeps. Heals you only for damage dealt. Utterly easy mode once you get it.

  142. Travis Richardson on July 30, 2015 at 6:30 pm

Good stuff Deltias, When we gonna get a glimpse of that tank build for Omega and any idea on a time frame we can see an updated omega after the patch. Especially with the changes to the templar healing buffs and the dps semi-nerfs. Love you Delt… Keep it up

  143. Dako on August 2, 2015 at 3:26 pm

I’m a level 30 Templar and doing your build. I’m not wearing any crafted armor and my damage is way lower then you. Is it just your champion points making you good?

    • Deltia on August 3, 2015 at 7:19 pm

Well you’re not wearing any crafted armor which helps.

      • Dako on August 4, 2015 at 5:02 pm

It really does! Well, off to find crafted gear! But, is this the same build but for vet levels? It seems way more fun.

        • Kevin on August 4, 2015 at 6:47 pm

          Hey Dako,

Hit me up in game, @huffdady, I can make any of those sets for really cheap.

  144. Roy Peach on August 4, 2015 at 12:06 pm

    Hi Deltia,
Im a big fan, your videos have massively helped me out since i started. (Thanks)
Question though i originally watched your healing guide video Battery Templar (as im a Breton templar healer) and then I met a V14 the other day that uses your omega build posted on your website … They are very different, one using dual wield (omega) and the other resto staffs and spamming healing springs etc… Can you please tell me which one you use and think is better for endgame content at this current time ? Im V5 atm and understand it comes down to preference, but would like to know if the v14 i met is true in saying the extra DPS is key to arena and trials for a templar healer? One last thing in regards to your Omega PVE healer build you choose Blazing spear over luminous shard contradicting what you said in your battery templar build, please advise which one you recommend ?Many thanks again for your videos truly amazing work regards Roy

    • Deltia on August 5, 2015 at 6:45 pm

Omega heal meant for DSA and doing damage. Battery is more for trials and pure healing which you’ll need in update 7.

  145. Alex on August 4, 2015 at 10:15 pm

Okay Deltia, I have some questions. I understand the whole sword and shield to add more resistance against physical attacks but in Azura’s Star on ps4 NA server most people are going to magic anyway as the main dps style. So wouldn’t it be better to go with what you originally said and use a destro fire staff for the added range? And currently I’m using 5 piece twilight set with a 4 piece torugs. I’m only at VR 6 currently and was considering switching the twilight set to the cyrodil’s light for more magicka. Would you recommend that or should I only snag the rings and go get a 5 piece seducers?

  146. Macrangbang on August 5, 2015 at 6:34 am

Hey Deltia, on your PvE Healer guide, you have the icon of Solar Prison, but in the detail paragraph below you say Solar Disturbance. Im confused on what to use lol.

And also I found a little typo on your…
“Combat Pray (morph of Blessings of Restoration | Restoration Staff skill line)”

Combat Prayer AND Blessing of Restoration are the morphs of Blessing of PROTECTION; but you have Combat Prayer being a morph of the other morph.

Im not sure if anyone else has already pointed this out, sorry if someone already has. I just wanted to point these out if no one hasn’t. Just trying to contribute what I can to your freaking amazing site! Thanks Deltia!

    • Deltia on August 5, 2015 at 9:05 pm

Mispelling you want the one with Synergy. Typos are life…

  147. Lasse on August 6, 2015 at 1:44 am

Hi Deltia. Just wanted to say thanks heaps for all your work on this one. Felt a bit lost when I started the game so tried this build. Only level 11 but enjoying it so far and have gotten heaps of tips from your videos.

  148. Yea jerm on August 7, 2015 at 7:08 am

Hey what kind of armor are u using I made armor with torug’s pact but mine don’t look like that… How did u make that armor

    • Deltia on August 8, 2015 at 12:31 pm

The armor I use is in each video and I have a crafting guide as well.

      • Yea jerm on August 8, 2015 at 2:52 pm

Ok what race style are u using to create your armor

  149. Jerm on August 7, 2015 at 9:13 am

What armor were u using for you Templar build.. I made torug’s pact armor sets and it didn’t look like yours. How did u make that?

  150. SaltyWorley on August 7, 2015 at 2:54 pm

I’d like to add my thanks – I’m using this build and it’s proving very effective at level 8. I particularly like the strategy of opting for the javelin morph that uses stamina and the use of knockback. Having something that uses stamina instead of magicka effectively almost doubles my total casting points and the knockback prevents enemies from getting close and meleeing me to death. I think it’ll also be useful for grouping since it has the two way ability to fill the magicka DPS role or the healer role. Nice option to adapt to whatever the abilities are of the people you end up grouped with.

  151. Graeme on August 7, 2015 at 5:03 pm

Deltia, I love this build so far. Currently lvl 16 on AD, questing Grahtwood. My question is, how did you get Entropy (Mage Guild lvl4) so early? I’ve gotten all books from Auridon and Grahtwood, and just barely hit lvl3. Tried to suicide run thru Malabal Tor, but died a bunch just getting the closest book.

    • Deltia on August 8, 2015 at 12:54 pm

Get a group to go in lowbie PvP collecting skyshards and lorebooks.

  152. jamie on August 9, 2015 at 3:50 pm

i have just started new templar and im gunna be following this build, my question is is it better to use the seducer set whilst leveling or should i use magnus while leveling cos i can make both

  153. Luke on August 9, 2015 at 10:53 pm

I know you probably get this statement/question many times a day but I would just like to know how you get your characters from VR1 to VR14 so quickly. I have this omega templar build complete but I am only Vet 1 and would like to level this to VR14 before starting the Umber build so i can have champion points to spend on him when I start grinding.

    • Ryan on August 9, 2015 at 11:06 pm

    thanks in advance

  155. Sam on August 10, 2015 at 6:40 pm

#1) Can I use this in the current PS4 version? (PvE DPS). #2) For PvE DPS, is the High Elf the recommended race or is it Dunmer? #3) Is Stamina Harvester better than this for PvE DPS?

  156. Mesozoic on August 11, 2015 at 7:59 am

Thanks for all the hard work.

I am very new to the game. Just hit lvl 20 but I did no reading until now. I am an Orc Templar. Would you advise me to just go ahead and reroll now or will Orc be fine for endgame healing/DPS?

  157. The_Edge73 on August 13, 2015 at 4:02 pm

Hey Deltia, I’ve seen this question a couple of times. Does your PvP build respect to 50 health and 10 magical? Great build BTW, I’ve played it to V8 and still love it.

  158. Blind on August 14, 2015 at 5:43 pm

Is this build just as good as a healer? And can I use heavy on my imp templar?

  159. Matt on August 14, 2015 at 9:12 pm

    Hi Deltia.
I have question. I play a VR 4 Vampire Breton Omega Templar on Xbone. I am having some trouble with survivability. Is it viable to add a couple pieces of heavy armor? If so how many/which pieces and why? Any insight you could give would be appreciated. Thank you

  160. Terra on August 15, 2015 at 6:32 am

Battery or Omega healer for vDSA and Trials with daily dungeons in between? Would you switch staves to dual wield on battery or change any of the abilities?

  161. Fntk on August 16, 2015 at 5:34 pm

Hi, if i decide not going with vampire on the pvp dmg dealer, what skills would you recommend instead of Mist and Swarm?

  162. Ariel Dubon on August 17, 2015 at 11:09 pm

hey deltia I was wondering when you would have the Templar tank up and running for the new changes in stamina regen… ?! I made my first tank but so many useful skills idk which ones to use, but I’m currently using your tanking guide for the time being until the tank build is up…..

  163. Swift on August 21, 2015 at 10:44 pm

Is Breton still the best choice for this build or is the Dunmer better? Can you go wrong with either of them?

    • Deltia on August 22, 2015 at 9:10 pm

Both are good, High Elf probably best.

      • Swift on August 23, 2015 at 4:51 am

I just made it to lvl 15 and the Breton is nuking everything I love it and the class. New to this game on the PS4 and it is a little harder to play then the PC but its super fun still. This is maybe my favorite build to play even though I have only played a nord DK and will re roll to get a Dunmer DK

  168. JD RICO 117 on August 27, 2015 at 11:52 pm

Absolutely love your site, started watching/reading just before the game got released on console and it has helped no end, I’m currently running a few vr characters based on your builds and I’m really enjoying whichever role I’m needed for that day but this build has to be my favourite, a 3in1 juggernaut, my templar is a Breton so healing is amazing and whilst it’s not the best race for pve or pvp it’s a close second I think, just wanted your thoughts on a tank with that race, you think it’ll be good enough for pve endgame, I’ll post what I’m thinking for the build after work and I’d love your feedback mate, keep up the great work ?

  169. Relic75 on August 29, 2015 at 9:31 pm

Is there any chance that an Argonian could pull off the omega Templar healer?? lvl 40 already.

    • Onatiflama on September 1, 2015 at 7:42 am

I’m currently using the omega pve healer with a vr14 Argonian and I think it works fine. Healing veteran DSA and trials with him.

    • Onatiflama on September 1, 2015 at 9:15 am

Yes. I have a vr14 argonian templar that uses this build for healing veteran dsa

  170. Jeffrey on August 31, 2015 at 1:24 am

Will this build work with a Breton instead of High Elf?

    • Innocent on September 2, 2015 at 4:35 pm

Race – Best choice is Breton, with High Elf and Dunmer being okay. Even a Imperial is a good choice, but if you’re starting fresh, go Breton.

  171. Onatiflama on September 1, 2015 at 7:44 am

Deltia, any reason you use the nova morph instead of a meteor morph?

    • Onatiflama on September 1, 2015 at 7:45 am

      ……..For the pve healer build?

    • Deltia on September 3, 2015 at 1:12 am

Well Meteor is another ultimate and not a morph, plus you don’t have access to get level 1.

  172. Wesly on September 1, 2015 at 12:53 pm

Will this build work with a Nord race. Vet 7 and really don’t want to re level new Templar ?

  173. Jeremy on September 1, 2015 at 9:18 pm

Hey Deltia, does the Templar Healer build works on a Werewolf Argonian ? (I have some poison resistance and I hate the fire resistance malus)
    Thank you for answering 😉

    • Deltia on September 3, 2015 at 1:51 am

Sure, the poison only effects you in WW form which I don’t use.

  174. Jeremy on September 1, 2015 at 9:25 pm

  176. Spirit on September 6, 2015 at 3:05 am

  177. jakkk on September 7, 2015 at 2:59 pm

hi deltia, i wanted to start a new character and in the past we always needed a healer so naturally thought i should do a healer play through to fill the slot. i watcher your templar healer video and saw that it covers mainly veteran level content i was wondering do you have any advice for a leveling healer build starting from scratch or anything?

    • Deltia on September 8, 2015 at 1:03 pm

I just suggest throwing breath of life on your bar and playing as a DPS. You can’t heal mobs to death and it’ll take you much longer.

  178. Jim Lahey on September 7, 2015 at 7:03 pm

    Deltia

I am currently leveling a healing dedicated Templar. I agreed with all the skill choices you have made but was wondering what you thought of putting down purifying ritual in the area the tank will be fighting. With the focused healing passive, all heals on them would be 30% stronger. If i were to slot purifying ritual, what skill would you recommend dropping.

    • Deltia on September 8, 2015 at 1:05 pm

It does heal for a lot more, but with CP and gear I can already crit heal for 30,000 Breath of Life (see Molag Kena Hard Mode fight). To me, it’s a bit overkill especially if the fight is mobile. BUT there’s uses for it if you need extra healing.

  179. Corson on September 8, 2015 at 6:12 am

I was also wondering if this set up would work for the IC update that recently happened. Specifically if the pve damage build would work with some of the pieces of gear being updated to vr16. All I’d really like to know is if a very similar set up could reach about 14-16k dps single target. Thanks again for all your hard work, the community really appreciates it!!

    • Deltia on September 8, 2015 at 1:23 pm

It’s changed, working on healer update first. Basically I went 5 pieces of Kagrenac’s Hope Set, 2 Engine Guardian, 3 Willpower and Torug’s Pact swords. That puts me at 3500 Spell Power, 38,000 magicka buffed 🙂 yeah it can rip some damage still.

      • Hasim on September 23, 2015 at 2:03 pm

Why Kagrenac’s Hope if I may ask? It gives no spell damage at all and the 5th (set) ability is very situational. Also what do you think of the phoenix set for dps?

        • Deltia on September 23, 2015 at 2:57 pm

The 5th piece does give spell damage, I suggest watching the video and see the changes.

          • Hasim on September 23, 2015 at 4:50 pm

Indeed! My mistake – I was “betrayed” (to my defense) by another website that only gave the “Resurrection” as the 5piece bonus. I apologize. So you recommend it (for the time being) for dps? And (again I apologize if I am pressuring you – I know you are leveling/gearing/building another toon atm) how about the phoenix set?

  180. Corson on September 8, 2015 at 6:49 am

I first just want to say thank you for all the work you’ve done and continue to do.
Now I know you are going to update things when you can, but I still have a quick question. I was also wondering if this set up would work for the IC update. Specifically if the pve damage build would work with some of the pieces of gear being updated to vr16. All I’d really like to know is if a very similar set up could reach about 13-16k dps single target. I’m really just looking for a build to tide me over until you have a chance to update this. Thanks again for all your hard work, the community really appreciates it!!

  181. Jamie on September 13, 2015 at 9:49 pm

Will you be making an updated magicka Templar dps for pve and pvp for 1.7?

  182. Andrew on September 16, 2015 at 4:53 pm

Hi Deltia, I love going templar healer, and I was curious about Structured entropy. Does the Major Sorcery buff and the healing over time both also aply to your teammates?

    • Deltia on September 16, 2015 at 8:39 pm

You might want to read my new healer build which talks about it.

  183. Joel on September 18, 2015 at 5:17 pm

    Awesome information Deltia,

I’ve been using your “battery” Templar build as a base for my Templar Healer. I do have a question for you regarding armor. I’m still new enough that I don’t have thousands and thousands of gold to spend on set pieces.

If I was going to have some armor crafted(something like the seducer set), what traits should I use on my armor? All one trait? or many different traits?

My light armor is at 50 already. My Templar is level 41 and still wearing stuff from the warlock set(lvl 20?).

Thanks for all the time you spend on compiling the data, it makes it a lot easier on the rest of us!

    • Kfro (Mod) on September 28, 2015 at 11:46 pm

The general rule is the three main pieces (head, chest, legs) are all infused cause you’ll get the max enchants from those and then the rest of the armor pieces would be divines to get the benefits from the mundus stone.

  184. nytho_76 on September 23, 2015 at 2:28 pm

On the PVE damage dealer why do you have stage 4 vampirism?

  187. Visemere on October 18, 2015 at 8:38 pm

Will you ever do a newbies gear Templar build, I just hit VR15 and haven’t done any dungeons, finding it hard to get a decent fun build together, would be nice to see maybe some craftable only builds for players short on time who just want a fun quick play in pvp

    • Deltia on October 19, 2015 at 6:38 pm

Magnus/Eyes of mara is craftable only and is great DPS gear.

  188. Timtams on October 23, 2015 at 1:21 am

    Hi deiltia
loving my temp, just wondering i like to heal and i like to DPS, should i just chose one say DPS and spec champ points for that or should i do some kinda split

    • Ryan on October 23, 2015 at 3:05 am

I really don’t think you’d be able to do both.. yeah you can do dps and heal when doing quests and solo stuff but in a group setting at veteran levels you wouldn’t be that effective. . You’d be doing low dps and okay heals.. just my opinion

  189. Marc on October 24, 2015 at 8:55 am

In a straight out solo DPS contest, which build would come out on top? This Omega Magiplar or your biting Harvester Stamplar? I haven’t played my Templar since the IC update & have a free respect and want to make the most of it

    • Deltia on October 24, 2015 at 2:06 pm

Omega did more damage with Twice Born Star, 2k a second more.

      • Marc on October 24, 2015 at 4:16 pm

Awesome thanks… I suppose my only other question would be, as you don’t use any dual wield abilities, do you take any of the dual wield passives? 4/5 of them only activate on a dual wield ability and Dual Wield Expert increase off hand weapon damage but spamming sweeps would be magic damage wouldn’t it?

        • Kfro on October 26, 2015 at 6:34 am

Take the last passive in duel wield for swords cause it does increase spell dmg!

  190. Ivan Maldonado on October 26, 2015 at 12:05 am

Does your new Omgea build work with a high elf or is better with dark elf ? I enjoy your builds I have done a stamina sorc on ps4 good times .

    • Deltia on October 27, 2015 at 11:53 am

It works best with High Elf though Dark Elf is flexible if you want to play stamina or magicka in the future.

  191. Jamie on October 27, 2015 at 11:38 pm

Can we expect a new pvp build to go with the new pve one?

    • Deltia on October 28, 2015 at 1:16 pm

Yes but I take priority on PvE first since most people don’t play in group PvP like I do. Plus I want to give something for every class prior to Maelstrom Arena.

  192. Joey on October 30, 2015 at 8:19 pm

I have to ask you something for the new build the omega templar what race you think is better for it because you use dark elf iam new so dont know much haha

Can use this build with a imperial ?

  194. Georgy on November 3, 2015 at 4:38 am

Hi, Delta. Thank you for you guides. I have a question about you addons, that you use – additional quickbar, buffs/debuffs panel and changed HP/MP/ST bar. What this addons? Thanks.

    • Deltia on November 3, 2015 at 2:31 pm

The video has a description of all the addons I use and how to set it up.

      • Georgy on November 5, 2015 at 3:45 pm

        Big thanks!

  195. Aivek on November 8, 2015 at 11:27 am

Hey Deltia, is TBS still better over Julianos? I read some debate over the two and need help deciding.

  196. yogadude on November 9, 2015 at 5:43 pm

Hey deltia, you mentioned that Julianos may be a better substitute than using overwhelming, what is the theory behind this? Just for the increased critical chance over spell power?

  197. Exiledgolem on November 11, 2015 at 11:26 pm

    Hello,
Did the Templar Magika tank just not pan out or is it still a working progress? Thanks for any answers ahead of time. Keep doing what you’re doing, love the battery build.

    • Deltia on November 12, 2015 at 3:01 pm

I just don’t that often and DK just works a lot better.

      • Exiledgolem on November 13, 2015 at 12:00 am

Alright thanks guess I’ll roll a DK then. Appreciate the response.

  198. Eakerr on November 12, 2015 at 2:36 am

During the video you mention in passing that someone did the math that 2h is more damage for this build, any additional info on that? I’m thinking of dw front and back bar resto in hopes to make damage enchants stick although heavy attacking with my staff can’t be good dps either.

    • Eakerr on November 12, 2015 at 2:45 am

This was around the 5:10 mark in the video

    • Deltia on November 12, 2015 at 3:13 pm

I think the explanation is on Tamriel Foundry, I still like DW for passives and extra slot.

  199. Antix on November 12, 2015 at 5:42 pm

Deltia thanks for all you’re doing for the community, we all very much appreciate it!
My question is with the twiceborn gear, shall I still get 1H 1M and rest light if I don’t have the undaunted passive? A reply would be greatly appreciated.
BTW Grats on your unborn son, hope you and wife are well
    -Antix

    • Deltia on November 16, 2015 at 1:36 am

Yes if you have good sustained.

      • dacrow on November 17, 2015 at 3:39 pm

Follow up question to this. You have heavy helm/medium shoulders for your 1H and 1M. Does it really matter which piece is heavy and medium? Did you pick helm and shoulders for a particular reason?

        • Deltia on November 18, 2015 at 4:26 pm

No, because I like the look of heavy helms.

  200. Domi_flex on November 24, 2015 at 10:34 pm

    Hey Deltia !
gz on your upcomming boy ( im expecting a girl around 29/12/2015 :p )

i’m lvl 22 now and im a bit stuck with the skill points and etc… can i pick up from that level what you recommend in the part 11-25 lvl ? i have to unlearn all the skills and morfs than to reset my points and also for my profesions since i put a lot off points into clothing and enchanting 🙁
do you suggest to do it and to stick with one profesion ?

    greating 😉

    • Deltia on November 26, 2015 at 1:07 am

      Gratz to you!

If you have low skill points, go into a low population Cyrodiil Server and get a ton in there.

I suggest having one character JUST for crafting but if not, go with Alchemy.

      • Domi_flex on November 26, 2015 at 2:08 am

        Tnx for your response !

i do think i will have enough skill points when i reset them since i complete every zone and always have my achievement for those skyshards :p i will take your advice on having one char for work only and get alchemy on my templar.

        2 questions left:
        – is there any required level to be that profesion worker ?
        – is there a guide for alchemy since i can’t find it at your site here ?

        Greetz !

  201. Rick on November 26, 2015 at 6:48 pm

Hey Deltia. Very nice information. Really helped me a lot.
Anyway, about champ point. If I’m using 5 light, 1 med, 1 heavy. Do you think light armor focus is worth any allocation beside hardy and elemental defender? Like to hear your thought.
    Thanks.

    • Deltia on November 27, 2015 at 7:19 pm

I don’t see any benefit in using light armor focus over those two. The amount of armor you gain is tiny in comparison to fire damage reduction.

  202. Tzadik on November 27, 2015 at 11:32 am

Hi, I’m currently using your end game build and I have one question… how do you do ranged dmg on bosses? I have a problem cause I have to stay close to spam jabbs before I can execute with Jesus beam and sometimes that’s not acceptable situation. I saw on your videos that you are using destro staff so I’m going to try that build out 🙂 but I was still wondering why do you have endgame build without ranged dmg. THx.

    • Deltia on November 27, 2015 at 7:21 pm

I throw Blazing Spears or slot Vampires Bane as my spammable casting ability.

  203. Isbiten on December 10, 2015 at 2:18 pm

Running parts (have some points wrong) of The harvester build. Level 35 atm.
But, I found a really nice guild and we started doing some dungeon.

Does this build do worse with solo/grind when it comes to leveling?

    • Deltia on December 13, 2015 at 9:39 pm

Solo grinding Harvester is much better because of steel tornado.

  204. redexorcist on December 22, 2015 at 3:50 pm

Which set is better for templar. Twice born star or kagrenacs hope? More damage sustain ect.

  205. Shane on January 18, 2016 at 8:08 pm

Would I be ok using a Breton for this build because I really don’t want to create a new character just want to respec my Templar to dps

    • Deltia on January 19, 2016 at 3:44 pm

      Yes

      • Ivan on January 20, 2016 at 6:50 pm

How about High Elf for this build ?

        • BL0ODE4GLE on January 20, 2016 at 8:50 pm

High elf probably has the highest damage at end for magicka templar, so yes

        • Deltia on January 21, 2016 at 1:56 pm

          Works great.

  206. Kyle on January 21, 2016 at 4:53 pm

Deltia, I’m trying my hand at the omega healer and I’m currently a lvl 35 imperial so 2 skills are locked away for me but I’ll be unlocking soon. My main question is my damage is very low and it takes forever to kill anything other than skeevers and mudcrabs. Is there anyway to correct this or am I destined to depend on others for dps?

    • Deltia on January 22, 2016 at 9:04 pm

Well Imperial is better for stam builds, are you using Entropy and Inner Light for you major buffs?

  207. somnambulist on January 25, 2016 at 10:24 pm

great build, jus’t cant click on the veteran levelling skills link to expand it and take a look at it in ESO skills

  208. Davo31 on January 26, 2016 at 6:35 pm

    Hey deltia,

On a scale to 1-10 (1= horrible, 10= your recommended pvp gear) how does your pve damage dealer armor setup hold up in pvp? I’m rolling T- born, willpower, engine -G…. And I can switch 4 pc julianos from my sorc if needed….

    Thoughts?

    Thanks!

  209. Ariel Dubon on January 29, 2016 at 3:32 am

Hey deltia, I was just wondering what happened to the previous builds you had regarding the bubble trouble Templar, or the stamina Templar tank build you were working on?! Reason I ask is that I used it as a guide for my tank and my skills reset and I was trying to get that build back with your help of course…. Thanks for all the help in making me enjoy my character to the fullest and be awesome at it!!!

    • Deltia on January 29, 2016 at 3:18 pm

I replaced it with Shredder. I’ve been playing an Imperial Stamplar Tank and I don’t enjoy it. I could put a sloppy build out but it’s not unique and not fun so I’m waiting and testing.

      • Ariel dubon on July 2, 2016 at 8:53 pm

I’m trying to convert into a magplar tank but I know I need some type of stamina. What do you recommend in order to drop magic cost and recovery, and still have a good tanking set up?! And what type of armor set should I use?

  210. Trevonne price on January 29, 2016 at 5:13 am

Hey deltia I’m looking for a magika dps bulid for templar any ideas? I’m an imperial v3.

    • Deltia on January 29, 2016 at 3:20 pm

Well that’s exactly what this build is.

  211. Pancake on January 29, 2016 at 9:51 pm

If I run Radiant Magelight, would you still use it in PVE? I use vampires bane for the Major prophecy.

    • Deltia on February 1, 2016 at 1:05 pm

No, the other purpose for Magelight is max magicka.

  212. Mike on February 3, 2016 at 4:09 am

Hey Deltia, love the builds and appreciate the hard work. Have you ever given any thought to posting your full Spindleclutch burn video? I run a very similar build and would love to see your timing and rotation throughout the dps check. Thanks again for all you do.

    • Deltia on February 3, 2016 at 2:17 pm

I could do a video with all the builds do it and seeing what they get. I think last time I did it I got 24k single target.

  213. Simon on February 9, 2016 at 4:45 am

Hey deltia,i did a dark elf templar awhile bk,now its vet15 but now i hear high elf is better.would it b wise to start a new templar or respect the one i already have.

    • Deltia on February 9, 2016 at 5:15 pm

High Elf would be better but probably not worth rerolling.

  214. Nihiluzz on February 10, 2016 at 1:23 pm

    Hello Deltia,
Been following your builds and guides for a long time now,
Standing still on how to proceed, I want a Templar pref magicka but I do not want to use a staff for this build, pref 2-hand or DW.
Which race should be best suited for this?
and is this build even doable.

    • Deltia on February 10, 2016 at 3:04 pm

      High Elf

  215. Nhiliuzz on February 10, 2016 at 2:13 pm

      Soon TM.

  217. Bailey on February 15, 2016 at 9:38 pm

I saw the first one and get the hint 🙂

  218. Wetnose on February 17, 2016 at 3:34 am

Your image and info are a little conflicting on the PVP build. Are your attributes set for 52 Magicka, 10 Health and 0 Stamina? The image says 10 Magicka and 52 Health. I’m assuming its not the latter, but I just want to double check.

    • Deltia on February 17, 2016 at 7:19 pm

      Higher magicka.

  219. oibam on February 17, 2016 at 7:30 pm

Ultis are NOT buffed by empower.

  220. Acsvf on February 18, 2016 at 5:30 am

    How about the moondancer set?

    • Deltia on February 18, 2016 at 12:47 pm

It’s going to take a lot of farming the new trial to get that but sure.

  221. Ed on February 18, 2016 at 5:15 pm

Hey Delt, my intuition is that this build will outperform single target but not in aoe situations when comparing to sweeps. Is a hybrid build where we have one bar using inferno and flare as you outlined while having another that uses dw/sweeps for aoe situations. Giving no us both melee, range, and great self heals

  222. culcha on February 21, 2016 at 9:27 pm

    Hi Deltia
Can i use an imperial for this build(and if i can how should i place the attributes)

  223. Michel on February 22, 2016 at 10:50 pm

Hi Delt , quick question..in the build guide are different races for pvp , pve…i play pve way more often. what race should you choose for pve , with casual pvp?

    • Deltia on February 23, 2016 at 2:41 pm

      High Elf

      • Michel on February 24, 2016 at 5:52 pm

        Thanx for the reply Delt.
1 more and ill be out of the woods for a while..i love playing with the inferno staff, but in different video’s people dual wield for the dps .
is it beter to go dual wield

        • Deltia on February 25, 2016 at 1:57 pm

You get more spell damage and if you’re doing a puncturing sweeps build yes. If you like Dark Flare, Destro Staff is great.

  224. farmerb on February 27, 2016 at 3:54 pm

    i have a question deltia
When can i use an imperial for this build?

  225. AJTC5000 on February 28, 2016 at 9:33 pm

My baby’s back! Looking forward to Thieves Guild.

  226. Brent on March 10, 2016 at 6:12 pm

I always get great tips from you, thanks. Just wondering why you like Vampires Bane over Reflective Light as a morph in PVE? I know Bane does more DOT but Light hits and slows 3 enemies.
Also, I hate the cast time on Dark Flare, (I tend to get into trouble just because of it’s cast time) is solar Barrage worth it, or is flare there simply for the major defile, let alone the damage?

    • Deltia on March 10, 2016 at 9:59 pm

I have other AoE and the damage last longer and is more. There’s more to flare than major defile, it’s the heaviest hitter we have and out preforms Solar Barrage hands down.

      • Brent on March 11, 2016 at 3:31 pm

        Thank you

  227. Acsvf on March 12, 2016 at 12:17 am

What do you think about the Light of Cyrodiil 5 piece? Would it be a good idea to go 5 piece Cyrodiil and 5 piece Julianos and 2 piece torug’s?

  228. NetflixNChiill on March 12, 2016 at 11:51 pm

And if you’re over VR14 don’t even bother with cyrodiil’s light you can’t get it for 15+

  229. Throe on March 13, 2016 at 8:42 pm

    Hey Deltia!
First, awesome site.. it’s really helpful for the noob that i am! 🙂
Second, I want to lvl a templar to switch between Magicka DPS (PvE), Magicka DPS (PvP) and Healer. Which race do you recommend? High Elf, Breton or Dunmer?

  230. Dances with skeever on March 14, 2016 at 12:54 pm

    Deltia,

I’m doing the pvp build of omega. My spell power seems pretty low and my crit is very low also. Most of your builds happen to be critical damage based builds except this one. Is it because this build works better with this setup or is it just outdated?

  231. warrior9880 on March 19, 2016 at 2:03 am

Do you still recommend vampire in pvp especially with the elusive mist change?

  232. Nomad on March 25, 2016 at 9:21 pm

I’m playing on Xbox One and I don’t understand why you still don’t double bar Inner Light. If I don’t have it on both bars I am definitely not getting the extra crit and magicka when I swap.

  233. fatasura on March 27, 2016 at 9:37 am

I’ve just hit level 21 with destro staff on both bars, but everyone seems to be using destro/dw now. Should I stick 2destro’s and switch later, or switch now?

  234. fatasura on March 27, 2016 at 12:37 pm

Level with 2x Destro staff then switch to DW/Destro at cap?, currently level 21 and wondering when to switch to DW.

  235. fatasura on March 27, 2016 at 12:38 pm

stupid double post first didnt show up (now triple post!)

    • Nomad on March 28, 2016 at 12:28 am

Fatasura I don’t really think you need DW until end game. The only reason he uses it is to have more spell power/crit. I’m doing fine without it at level 43 and in fact I’m leveling resto staff right now so I can function as a healer if need be.

  236. Murre on March 31, 2016 at 2:26 pm

Can you do this without Shooting Star.
I play on PS4 and I just don’t see how I’m gonna get level 10 without addons.

    • Deltia on April 3, 2016 at 2:34 pm

Yeah, use Banner aka Standard of Might

      • Murre on April 3, 2016 at 5:19 pm

        Hi!
        Thanks for answering.

I do healing on my Templar, but I would like to create my second bar to support solo/questing/farming.
What would you put on the second bar?
I’m using your Templar Healer guide.

    Hello!

This question is probably answered so many Times but just to be sure, I just got elder scrolls and my question is, is high elf magicka omega templar the best solo char to start with or any other race? And I dont like pvp, I play pve really most of the time. And im typical player that loves magicka so no stamina for me. Would love to have this cleared out.
    Many thanks,

    • Deltia on April 4, 2016 at 1:10 am

PvE High Elf is great for magicka DPS.

  241. Jacob on April 19, 2016 at 1:40 am

would this build be good for vma? im using a similar build accept im using dw on my primary bar bec i picked breton, would it still be better to use a destro with this? and dark flare in vma?

    • Deltia on April 19, 2016 at 1:20 pm

  242. Sanatore on April 20, 2016 at 7:21 am

    Hey Deltia,
What is the current recommend magicka Templar build for Maelstrom Arena? By that, I’m wondering what the highest DPS for my character (Dark Elf) is? I’d hate to start over just to make him a High Elf. Is TBS still recommended for him or should I run Julianos? Also, with the new update coming soon would this build change at all?

    Thanks!

  251. lord_dal on June 9, 2016 at 12:28 am

for someone that dont pvp, I just dont like it, what would the best replacement for Proxy Detention be?

  253. Wanda rydel on June 11, 2016 at 6:04 pm

Regarding your new maelstrom sorcerer 2.225 build,

    1. Why is the engine guardian both light vs one heavy and one medium

    2. If I use tha for the other 5 pieces would I use shadow and thief?

    3. I don’t have any via weapons, so I want to use this build to try and get them. Although I have 501 plus CP, I,m not a very good player

    4. With respect to the retro staff what should be the trait should I build it with and what foundry should I use, I have everything completely researched.

    5. With respect to CP I,m only able to look at the detail for ritual, so unable to see your breakdown for apprentice, tower, lover lady, and lord. This is my last shot at trying to complete
    VMA

    6. The third, I have no clue as to when or where, eg what round in VMA would I make your suggested changes..

Is it possible to play this build with an orc?

      I don’t see why not.

    Hi Deltia,

somehow my comment did not show up in the Stamina section, if it did my apology for double posting.

I’m a solo player, just starting the game from fresh, most the time I play solo or with a friend, down the line would like to do dungeon with random people.

With that in mind, do you suggest Magicka or Stamina Templar?

    Thank You!

      Magicka for self healing.

Hey Deltia. First huge fan of your builds. Currently I’m leveling a magplar. Final product is gearing towards “bee mode” magplar. As of right now I’m using the omega build. Which has been great so far, but now at level 36 and grinding in Rkindaleft omega seems to be trailing off for me. I can survive just fine, but I seem to be having more success at single target dos, and grinding groups takes quite awhile. Any suggestions? Dunno if it’s me or the skills, but I am not grinding efficiently like the others I see up here. Thanks in advance.

It’s Magicka build, stamina DPS is king. Lay down Elemental Blockade and spam Spears is about the best you can do. We don’t have steel tornado as magicka.
