The Specter – ESO Stamina Nightblade Leveling Guide

Welcome to The Specter – ESO Stamina Nightblade Leveling Guide.  Yes, I deleted a Veteran Rank 14 so I could start all over with a stamina Nightblade on Daggerfall Covenant faction.  This guide series will cover everything from level 1 to VR14 (16) with end game PvE and PvP builds.  Bookmark this sucker!

Table of Contents

The idea behind this build, race and combination of skills is to create a high damage Kitty Nightblade capable of completing any dungeon, trial or DSA with high damage.  The Specter revision well be centered on Bow PvE but have a PvP component at end game.  I’ll have leveling builds complete with end game setup to help you throughout the leveling process and end game.  Below is some general leveling tips to help you reach 10 asap.

Should you play this build?

+ Great range and damage

+ Fast and hard hitting

– Not the easiest to play

–  Lacks on demand self healing unless using Two Hander

Priority Skills

  • Bow – Acid Spray and Lethal Arrow.  Once you obtain Acid Spray you have a great AoE snare and damage.
  • Two Handed – Brawler for AoE damage shield early on than Rally for self heal/Major Brutality buff (20% weapon damage).
  • Assassination – Monster tree for passives and active abilities.  Consider everyone good worth taking and morphing at some point.  Priority is grabbing Killer’s Blade morph for finisher self-healing.
  • Shadow – This is the weakest of the three trees for straight PvE and do not need much from the active abilities.  Get the first two and move on as we’ll leave this up at end game.
  • Siphoning – A high priority skill line with beastly passives.  I like to maintain two skills on my bar to keep this skill line advancing.  Consider Funnel Health and Siphoning Strikes your main target.

Priority Passives

  • Bow – Ranger One and Two for reduce cost making the Acid Spray stamina less of a drain on resources.  If you have spare points, take Long Shot for more damage further you are.
  • Two-Hander – Balance Blade (reduced cost) 2x until you fill up on skill points.
  • Assassination – Basically these are all amazing but I’d consider waiting for Pressure Points for slotting Assassination abilities.
  • Shadow – The only one I grab right away is Refreshing Shadows as a 30% stamina boost (in update 6) is utterly amazing.
  • Siphoning – The first out the gate to get is Catalyst as I’m a potion chugger throwing ultimates left and right.   Then I save up skill points until I get Transfer one and two for more ulty gain.
  • Medium Armor – Wind Walker should be your #1 priority after skill lines to really help out your resource management.  Next save up for Agility one and two to start hitting like a mac truck.
  • Racial – Currently the Khajiit’s first passive is Robust though will change in Update 7.  Hold off on these unless it’s been changed to stamina regeneration.

Tips and Miscellaneous

  • Race – 1) and 1a) I don’t know if Imperial is the absolute BEST, but I recommend Khajiit for fun/versatility in PvP.  However, Imperial probably is the absolute most DPS.  Third, Bosmer or Redguard for sustained.
  • Attributes – All stamina, keep it easy.
  • Vamp/WW – In the update I don’t won’t have room for this on my bar so I won’t be using it.  If you play a WW/Vamp that will be your own build.
  • Mundus – Shadow (thanks Ilan for tip, just the tip) or Warrior in Update 7.
  • Weapons – Primarily Bow though 2-hand for buff and Dual Wield later on.
  • Armor – All medium for max regeneration and reduced cost.
  • Gear – Three piece Ashen Grip and five piece Hunding’s Rage (craftable).
  • Food – Bi-stat for max stamina.
  • Health needed (if you’re good at range) only 16-17,000 is needed.  But you have to keep your range for max damage AND safety.

End Game PvE Build

(Thieves Guild ESO 2.3 Last Updated 4/1/2016)

Bow has made a comeback due to the Hawkeye Passive (now your successful light and heavy attacks increase the damage of your Bow abilities by 5 for 4 seconds, stacking up to 3 times).  With that being said, this build is designed for full range, bow primary damage.  Is this the most damaging producing Stamina Nightblade possible?  No, I’d check out my friend Gill’s build here.  But if you like using bow, having range and sniping NPCs in PvE, this is for you.

TG Specter SkillsBow 1 – for Buffs and AoE

  • Repear’s Mark (morph of Mark Target | Assassination skill line) – An important abilities that most Nightblades don’t utilize.  Once you kill a target, you get a massive heal and a massive DPS boost via Major Berserk (25% more damage for 5 seconds).  The key to using this is targeting the right mob.  You want something that is low health out of the pack, that way when you kill it during AoE Spam, boom a huge DPS emerges.   It’s even smart to start out on a boss for the armor reductions, but not worth recasting IF your tank is using the Sword and Shield taunt.  The trick is to not over cast this or refresh the buff when it’s not optimal.
  • Razor Caltrops (morph of Caltrops | Alliance War Assault skill line) – This is still a huge DPS ability both AoE and single target due to its radius and and duration.  During a normal fight, I’ll cast my buffs and start the fight with a Lethal Arrow + Camo Hunter comb THEN throw out my Caltrops.  Usually I use a potion to recover the massive stamina drain.  Once again, don’t overcast this or refresh if there’s one mob around.  Use this to start and maintain if the fight with last more than 60 seconds.
  • Acid Spray (morph of Arrow Spray | Bow skill line) – Our main AoE damage ability that can be spammed.  Steel Tornado is still very effective, BUT you must be the danger zone.  I like this because of the range and damage over time effect though spamming it is still effective.  The important part to realize on this skill, is that it’s a front conal effect NOT a full circle.  So you’ll need to practice changing your angles to hit every target possible.   That alone will increase your DPS with this ability.  Two or more mobs, spam spray.
  • Resolving Vigor (morph of Vigor | Alliance War Assault skill line) – Our one on demand heal since we’re not using a Two Hander.  This combined with Repear’s Mark is usually enough to keep you alive in normal PvE circumstances.  If you’re in trouble, combine this with a dodge roll for some escape.  When I do it, I’ll click Vigor than .5 seconds later, dodge.  It’ll look like a dodge/vigor instantly if you do it right.  Getting some space, do some Acid Sprays and keep your distance.
  • Siphoning Attacks (morph of Siphoning Strikes | Siphoning skill line) – Still a massive boost to our resources.  Make sure to start the fight with this up. If it’s going to last awhile, recast every 15 seconds.  A nice benefit of this ability is the added ultimate generation.
  • [ultimate] Shooting Star (morph of Meteor | Mages Guild skill line) – Probably the best option we have for a range ultimate build.  It’s very effective even for stamina, plus it gives us a Empower (20% on next attack) that can be paired with Lethal Arrow.  Try to cast this on a cluster of mobs so you get ultimate back as well.
    • An option for you is Veil of Blades due to the damage reduction.  The only downside, you have to run into there.  Swap that in and out.

Bow 2 – Single Target damage

  • Relentless Focus (morph of Grim Focus | Assassination skill line) – For 20 seconds you get 8% more damage, this is a no brainier ability to keep active at all times.  The reason I take this morph is for stamina regeneration and the damage done with the proc scales off of magicka so it’s not as valuable in comparison to my magicka Nightblade.  I’ve seen a lot of Nightblade recast this after they use Assassin’s Will, don’t.  The purpose of this ability is to get 1 Assassins Will within 20 seconds and not constantly overcast it.  Combine this with a potion all the time for 30% stamina regeneration.
  • Poison Injection (morph of Poison Arrow | Bow skill line) – 10 second of massive DoT plus it acts like a execution below 50% health.  This is an all bow build so I don’t use Two Hander as an execute.  Our innate execute, Killer’s Blade doesn’t scale well with a bow build.  I was doing more damage just maintaining DoTs than using Killer’s Blade.  So I stick with my one DoT execute and it’s worth keeping up 100% of the time on single target fights.
  • Scorched Earth (morph of Volley | Bow skill line) – Both AoE and single target powerhouse that is useful with or without the Maelstrom Bow.  It’s a great buff to maintain, but you’ll lose DPS during a mobile fight.  Make sure to maintain this buff when a mob/boss is stationary. Don’t overcast either, give this buff 14 seconds, not 8.
  • Lethal Arrow (morph of Snipe | Bow skill line) – Our spammable single target ability to be used while our buffs or maintained.  I tested this vs Focus Aim and the “poison status effect” adds a DoT that does do some decent damage.  Focus Aim adds an armor debuff which is useful and range.  In my experience, LA trumps FA.  The trick to use this is ALWAYS light attack before and after the LA.  You must maintain the Hawkeye buff.
  • Camouflage Hunter (morph of Expert Hunter | Fighters Guild skill line) – Starting a fight off with Camo Hunter and Lethal Arrow for a powerful DPS boost.  We are talking 70k start here.  The trick is, making sure other players (tanks) know that you want to start the fight with this combo.  If not, it’s not as useful.  Evil Hunter (the other morph) provides better stamina sustained for those lacking 501 CP or a stamina specific race.  Maintain this buff 100% of the time IF fighting undead or 3+ mobs.  Only cast once in a Blood Spawn fight prior to the engagement.
  • [ultimate] Flawless Dawnbreaker (morph of Dawnbreaker | Fighters guild skill line) – I like this ability here because it buffs our single target ability.  Soul Harvest is also good for extra critical, however you have to be close to use it and you’re missing out on a big Weapon Damage boost.  You can’t go wrong either way.

  • Pre Fight – Repear’s Mark Target either boss or a low health mob, Siphoning Attacks, Relentless Focus, and Camo Hunter
  • Now do a Lethal Arrow from stealth for a big DPS boost to start, Shooting Star if up, another Lethal Arrow using your Empower and now DoT phase
  • Razor Caltrops + potion, Scorched Earth then Poison Arrow
  • Now you have to recast some buffs depending on the fight duration, AoE fight? spam some Acid Spray, single target fight? Relentless Focus, Camo if Daedroth and Siphoning Attacks if you need resources and maintain DoTs.
  • There’s a lot going on, when in doubt maintain Relentless Focus, Poison Injection and light attack weave Lethal Arrow.

TG Specter Gear ChartTG Specter Gear Picture

  • Nerien’eth (found in Crypt of Hearts Veteran) – a 2pc set which is still very good to use.  It’s hard to get this with Divines Traits but it’s worth it.  You can substitute this and the Maelstrom Bow for a three piece Hunding’s Rage.
  • Maelstrom Bow (found in Vet Maelstrom Arena) – I like the Precise bow from VMA.  It’s not essential to do damage as a bow user, but it does help.
  • Night Mother’s Gaze (craftable) – 6 trait craftable set that gives a massive armor debuff.  The good news, it seems to do more damage than Hunding’s Rage on Nightblades.  The bad news, if someone else is using it, it won’t be as impactful.
  • Agility (found in Imperial City) – Still amazing set that I use Weapon Damage with though a 5 piece Marksmen (what I’m using in PvP) is a very good combo as well.  Even 5 piece (helm/shoulders) Brairheart for extra healing might help some.

Champion Points

The CP outline that I use is from Asayre posted here.  He spent the time crunching the numbers so we don’t have to and all the credit goes to him.  The numbers might seem weird, but trust me it works.

Elemental Expert 6
Melee Weapon Expert 0
Mighty 15
Piercing 29
Precise Strike 31
Thaumathurge 86

It might look a little odd that so many points are spent on Thaumathurge, but remember most of our damage comes from that.  Only the instant hit from Lethal Arrow does not.  Everything else nearly, is a DoT.

Specter PvPDual Wield (Hammers) – Your damage dealing bar.

  • Ambush (morph of Teleport Strike | Assassination skill line) – Our gap close and a buff for the next attack.  This also works with ultimates making Flawless Dawnbreaker very powerful low cost AoE.
  • Quick Cloak (morph of Blade Cloak | Dual Wield skill line) – This not our Procs our Ravager gear for massive damage, but AoE damage reduction by 20%, movement speed and damage.
  • Mass Hysteria (morph of Aspect of Terror | Shadow skill line) – The best stun in the game and what drops block on targets free up our big attack.
  • Surprise Attack (morph of Veiled Strike | Shadow skill line) – Our major source of damage single target which can be spammed in conjunction with light attacks.
  • Steel Tornado (morph of Whirlwind | Dual Wield skill line) – THE best AoE in the game.  People hate getting killed by this, but it’s too good to pass up in group play.
  • [Ultimate] Flawless Dawnbreaker (morph of Dawnbreaker | Fighters Guild skill line) –  Slotting this ability gives you a big boost in Weapon Damage but it also is great up front damage with a nasty DoT.

Two-Handed (Maul) – Buffs and healing.

  • Piercing Mark (morph of Mark Target | Assassination skill line) – The anti Nightblade skill that can be flexed in and out.  If you’re having problems with resources, swap in Siphoning Attacks (Siphoning Strikes | Siphoning skill line).
  • Rally (morph of Momentum | Two-Handed skill line) – Our major brutality buff and a much needed self heal.
  • Dark Cloak (morph of Shadow Cloak | Shadow skill line) – This is our escape and defensive ability since we are vampires it purges debuffs (like fire).  Combine this with dodge rolling to escape and self heal.
  • Double Take (morph of Blur | Assassination skill line) – A powerful defensive skill giving you speed and dodge chance.  This allows you to jump into combat and not get smashed right away.
  • Resolving Vigor (morph of Vigor | Alliance War Assault skill line) – The best stamina self heal in the game and really increases our survivability.  It does take a little bit of PvP’ing first, but will help you greatly once you get this.
  • Devouring Swarm (morph of Bat Swarm | World Vampire skill line) – One of my favorite ultimates for group play and solo for surviving but you can also use Soul Tether if you play more 1v1 style.

Specter Passives

  • Dual Wield | Ruffian – Since stuns are a big part of our game, this passive goes a long way for doing big time damage combined with Mass Hysteria.
  • Heavy Armor | Constitution – Gives us some resources when taking damage which is useful when fighting multiple targets.
  • Vampire | Supernatural Recovery – Gives you a resource boost while you’re on the Two-Handed bar.
  • Vampire | Undeath – Gives you massive damage reduction when below 50% health, giving you take to react.
  • Vampire | Dark Stalker – What makes taking Vampire worth it, increased movement speed while sneaking.
  • Legerdemain – Improved Hiding – Reducing stamina cost combined with 5 medium armor grants you basically no stamina cost while sneaking.
  • Banish the Wicked – Gain a 9 ultimate when killing Daedra or Undead (this counts for enemy player Vampires).
  • Crafting Alchemy | Medicinal Use – Longer potion effects mean more Crowd Control immunity.

specter pvp gear chartSpecter PvP Build

  • Ravager Gear – Only scales to VR14 but its great gear even in this update.  Advantages are it makes you tanky, procs with melee builds for massive damage, and has Impenetrable traits.  Bad side, it cost over 1 million Alliance Points to obtain a full set, doesn’t scale to VR 16 and lacks medium weight for best sustained.  If you don’t like this setup, use Agility jewelry instead (found in Imperial City with drop shards).
  • Engine Guardian – Found in Darkshade Cavern Veteran Dungeon (helm) and shoulder obtained through Undaunted Pledges.  If you don’t have this, swap these two slots and your weapons for Ashen Grip, Night Mothers or something else stamina based that you can craft.  A more damage oriented set would be Nerien’eth obtained in Crypts of Hearts Veteran Dungeon.
  • Hunding’s Rage – The best stamina based crafted set and it only takes 6 traits.  If you can’t craft this, try Night Silence or Night Mother’s Gaze.

  • Race – 1) Anything that has a bonus to maxima stamina, most is Imperial or Redguard. Imperil = more tanky | Redguard = better sustained | Khajiit =burst | Wood Elf = max sustained | Dunmer = can be decent stamina and good magicka if you play multiple builds.
  • Vamp/WW – Werewolf rocks in the new update but I love Vampire for sneak reduction and Devouring Swarm ultimate.  If you’re not near the Champion Point Cap (501), I suggest NOT to use Vampire and go all natural.  If you like the sneak speed, use Night Silence as your 5 piece set bonus.
  • Mundus – Solo play, stick with Serpent for better sustained, Warrior for more sustained damage, and Shadow for burst.
  • Armor – 5 medium 2 heavy for tanky setup.
  • Food – Tri-stat drinks for maxium regeneration.  Make sure you reach at least 20,000 health.

Maelstrom Specter

Maelstrom Specter SkillsTwo-Handed | Single Target and Execution

  • Ambush (morph of Teleport Strike | Assassination skill line) – Gap closer that gives us 20% more damage for our next hit.  Often I’ll combo this with Ambush, bar swap, Soul Tether.
  • Rally (morph of Momentum | Two-Handed skill line) – A weapon power major brutality buff and healing over time.  The best way to use this for a powerful heal is to let recast it around less than 10 seconds.
  • Siphoning Attacks (morph of Siphoning Strikes | Siphoning skill line) – Keep this up at the start of fights and in between to maintain resources.
  • Surprise Attack (morph of Veiled Strike | Shadow skill line) – Our single target spammable ability that debuffs armor and gives us major resistance.
  • Killer’s Blade (morph of Assassin’s Blade | Assassination skill line) – A close range execute with massive healing.  Remember it doesn’t have to kill the target now, just die within two seconds.
  • [Ultimate] Soul Harvester (morph of Death Stroke | Assassination skill line) – I’ve tried many ultimates in this position, but nothing out preforms Soul Harvest damage during execution and ultimate generation.

Bow | Range and Healing

  • Merciless Resolve (morph of Grim Focus | Assassination skill line) – A 8% damage buff and 10% stamina plus the chance to proc a damage ability. We also slot this for the assassination skill line passives.
  • Poison Injection (morph of Poison Arrow | Bow skill line) – A super powerful damage over time effect below 50% health.  I try to reapply this just before execute phase for some extra damage on the tough bosses.
  • Acid Spray (morph of Arrow Spray | Bow skill line) – A great area damage ability with an extra damage over time effect.  Use this to snare enemies and kite them around.
  • Lethal Arrow (morph of Snipe | Bow skill line) – A single target spammable ability with massive range.  This isn’t as powerful as Surprise Attack, but it will knockout some targets at range.
  • Resolving Vigor (morph of Vigor | Assault skill line) – Another powerful heal over time ability combined with Rally and Killer’s Blade for surviving.
  • [Ultimate] Soul Tether (morph of Soul Shred | Siphoning skill line) – Another ability to heal with high AoE burst for taking out trash mobs and surviving.

Maelstrom Specter Gear Chart Maelstrom Specter Gear Picture

  • Molag Kena Helm – A one piece with some punch.  The easiest way to get this is the shoulder via Undaunted pledges or the helm from White Gold Tower Veteran.
  • Blood Spawn Shoulder – The extra stamina recovery goes well with our race and gear setup making the Kena/Blood spawn a worthy two piece choice.
  • Night Mother’s Gaze – Since we’re running high crit build, this gear out preforms others for our specific build (courtesy of Gill). Hundings, Twice Born Star are also good choices.
  • Agility Jewelry – Found in Imperial City and still my favorite for stamina builds.  I do like the healthy with stamina recovery since we’re not running Engine Guardian setup.

Champion Points

Maelstroma Specter Champion Points

Blue Apprentice

I like a 75/25 split between Might and Thaumaturge that way Surprise Attack and our Bow abilities hit hard.

Green Tower/Lover/Shadow

A close 50/50 split between regeneration and reduce cost plus 10 points into reduced dodge roll since we use that for protection.

Red Lady/Lord

In the Lady I highly recommend Elemental Defender and 20 points into Hardy.  Now I go with Quick Recovery for extra healing in the Lord which really helps with stamina healing.

Hello Deltia, when using the PvE ranged build, you recommend using 2 skills from the Alliance War skill tree. I hate PvP and don’t want to even bother with Cyrodil, what abilities would you flex these with?

    • John on November 5, 2017 at 3:53 pm

What should I put into the attribute points for this build all stamina or half mag half steam?

      • Deltia on November 5, 2017 at 8:17 pm

        All stamina.

    • Kyler on November 26, 2017 at 6:03 am

Hey Deltia is this build still viable/updated for the clockwork city patch? im looking for a solid sneak nb build to use for both pve/pvp. this guide seems solid for it just not sure if its up to date.

  2. Buck on August 6, 2015 at 6:07 am

Hey deltia. I rolled a bosmer cause the bow. You think it will b fine in update 7?

Oh yeah, Wood Elf is still great.

      • Ben on August 6, 2015 at 4:33 pm

Ok thanks. Can’t wait for that specter leveling build.

        Hey Deltia!
First of all I would like to say I love your builds and appreciate the time you put in to this. Its been very helpfull since i left swtor and started with eso!
I have a question about gear for the Specter end game build. When I get the last 2 passives in the unanted skill tree. Witch gear pices would u recomand me to make heavy/light.? or just stay all medium?

        • Deltia on January 18, 2016 at 7:38 pm

No, just stay all medium for resources and critical gains. I don’t think the extra 4% is worth giving up critical.

      • Jose on March 5, 2016 at 1:34 am

Hey deltias I got a few question regarding your night blade build I was wondering if the medium armor has to be the night mother set or if I should wait till you make a new update video for thevies guild update and my second question is I don’t fell like my night blade isn’t doing as much dps in dungeons as I want it to can this be for the lack of good armor or could it be that my character has no good weapons

    Hi Deltia,

first of all please excuse my horrible english, but i try to write to in correct sentences.

Thank you for your great class guides. I´ve tried many of them in the short time i started with the elder scrolls but all of them are great. In my opinion is nightblade my favorite class at the moment but I am very undecided which race i should take. I will start again and want to go your specter path with bow and dual wield. I would take Bosmer cause of stamina reg or Khjiit cause of the crit and I hope u can give me your view. Next question would be which transformation you prefer. Werwolf, Vampire or nothing of them?

I hope you have some time for my newb questions 🙂

Please go on with your great Guides and thank you for a lot of informations.

    Best regards

    • Famousqc on August 6, 2015 at 11:29 pm

He wrote in on like the 10th line

Race – 1) and 1a) I don’t know if Imperial is the absolute BEST, but I recommend Khajiit for fun/versatility in PvP. However, Imperial probably is the absolute most DPS. Third, Bosmer for sustained.
Attributes – All stamina, keep it easy.
Vamp/WW – In the update I don’t won’t have room for this on my bar so I won’t be using it.

  6. michael on August 6, 2015 at 2:29 pm

This may sound like a noob question, but are you going back and forth between bows and dual wield weapons before level 15-depending on the situation? It looks like your skill bar has some bow, class abilities, and DW abilities.

    • Deltia on August 6, 2015 at 7:48 pm

Yes, but I will explain that in the videos soon.

  7. Grifften on August 6, 2015 at 3:02 pm

Hey Delt, I’m a new ESO player and your videos have been super helpful. Would you recommend this build for a first timer? I really like NB and originally thought of a DW/Bow Stam build, but after seeing your Umbra build I’m not sure.

    • Deltia on August 6, 2015 at 7:48 pm

No, go with a Templar healer for first.

      • Grifften on August 6, 2015 at 9:36 pm

I’m new to ESO but not MMOs, I know I definitely want to stick with a NB, I always play Rogue/Assassin type classes, I’m just not sure which of your specs would be better for first time leveling.

        • Jonathan on August 7, 2015 at 5:58 pm

Go Umbra, because with magicka you have a lot more self heal, and in the next patch magic NB will rule PVP.

  8. Wintersborn on August 6, 2015 at 4:49 pm

Why do you not do the other quests that give skill points other than the main story line?
Are you going for max weapon Crit or a mix of Crit and Power at end game?

    • Deltia on August 6, 2015 at 7:49 pm

Because I don’t need many skill points with a specific build in mind.

  9. Famousqc on August 6, 2015 at 4:59 pm

i wonder if you’re going to be streaming the v1-v14 grind? i would be interested in watching as i’m stuck at that point

  10. MrMully19 on August 6, 2015 at 5:27 pm

Hey Deltia, I follow your magika umbra NB Build. Do you like this build better for PVP and PVE? I am VR4, so a respec should be easy.

    • Deltia on August 6, 2015 at 7:46 pm

      IDK until I remake it.

  11. MatioFrench on August 6, 2015 at 5:37 pm

Will you mention the specific areas in each faction for where you are doing the actual grinding levels part? I think you mentioned it in the video for DC but hoping there’s a couple of similar areas to DC in the other two factions as I’m wanting to take multiple characters through this process. I realize you may state all those areas in the next video, so I apologize if I’m jumping ahead.

  12. James on August 6, 2015 at 6:21 pm

Hey Deltia. First and foremost, I would like to thank you for the time and dedication you spend making this game easy to understand.
I actually just built a stamina Nightblade (Khajit) following your One-Shot Willy build. However, I was wondering what race would be best for mostly PVE end game content between Khajit or Imperial. I’m only a level 12, but if I’m going to re-roll, I’d rather do it now. Which is better for late game PVE: high burst crit of the Khajit; or high stamina pool of an Imperial?

    • Deltia on August 6, 2015 at 7:49 pm

      Check the post now.

  13. Kenneth on August 6, 2015 at 9:25 pm

Hey Deltia. Love ur builds 🙂 got myself a Khajit NB, using bow and 2hder atm. Can see that you dont have evil hunter on ur 25-50 bar? Should I drop it for something else? Dont have dawnbreaker yet.

  14. Dustman on August 6, 2015 at 10:12 pm

Thanks delt for the guides bro. My question is I already hit hard with my bow doing massive amount dps v4 bosmer vamp specter before this refresh. What would be the difference in damage wise, my crit so far is 52% wpn damage 1500 with 26 health and 26 stamina all passives.

    • Dyride on August 9, 2015 at 1:44 am

Bosmer has better sustain, gets a small max stamina boost plus also has the stealthy passive for extra damage, which makes it awesome for a nightblade.

Bosmer make really good Magicka Nightblades for pvp as well by using the Stealthy passive and any magicka build can always use more stamina regen.

  15. Adam on August 6, 2015 at 11:21 pm

    Hey, Deltia!
Been using this build since ESO came out on Xbox One.. Thanks for your expertise. However, is it just me or are the Veteran Leveling, End Game PVE and End Game PVP builds missing? I seem the 25-50 leveling builds but not the ones below.

    • Adam on August 6, 2015 at 11:22 pm

Disregard, I just saw that they are WIPs sorry about that. Thanks again.

Can you please post the name of the zones / camps that you recommend for grinding, and perhaps tips for best way to reach them for people new to these areas?

  19. EL on August 7, 2015 at 4:57 am

Deltia, what armor do you use in this build? All medium or combo of med light and heavy? If combo, what parts are what? And accessories?

    • Deltia on August 8, 2015 at 12:30 pm

It’s at the top of page.

  20. Damian on August 7, 2015 at 7:32 am

Does console have the XP potions?

  21. Sesh458 on August 7, 2015 at 8:11 am

I’ve been using the old Spectre for most of my levels. SO many changes but I did want to point out some errors. You said acid spray for control thinking you meant bombard. Some of the skill pictures are incorrect as well.

Love you stuff man, soldier to soldier, keep living the dream bud!

  22. Speny300 on August 7, 2015 at 8:12 am

Cant wait for end game pve video..need help with resource managment if you could have this in the video would be great

  23. Aivos on August 7, 2015 at 8:31 am

Sorry deltia wasn’t sure where to ask this.

When using the 5-1-1 armor set ups is there any reason to not maximize armor stat in this process for example a 5 light armor set with heavy chest and medium leg pieces to get more armor out of the larger slot?

  24. Helldir on August 7, 2015 at 9:56 am

    Hi Deltia,

You keep a dual wield ability on your bow bar even from level 15. How come?

    • Deltia on August 7, 2015 at 12:35 pm

      I’ll explain in a video.

    • OnThaLoose on August 7, 2015 at 3:31 pm

I believe He does that to level the abilities ASAP. In the early areas you don’t really need 5 active abilities. So if DW abilities are on your bar, they will level even if your using a bow.

    • 420 Crusader on August 8, 2015 at 9:14 am

Pretty sure its so you keep the skill line progressing while using another weapon

  25. Lockdown on August 7, 2015 at 8:00 pm

I also would like to know why redgaurd wasnt a choice?

    • Deltia on August 8, 2015 at 12:55 pm

Because it’s not meant for melee but a great choice none the less.

  26. Justin on August 7, 2015 at 8:20 pm

How did you make your khajiit DC? It is an AD character class….???

    • MatioFrench on August 7, 2015 at 8:43 pm

He has the imperial edition of the game, which lets you choose imperial as a race and also lets you play with any race in any alliance. You can also just buy an imperial edition upgrade in the crown store as well.

  27. Zack on August 7, 2015 at 9:01 pm

Love the guides, enjoyed you and syphers video as well. I know you’re end game stuff isn’t up yet, but as far as what you had up previously for end game pvp, I have a few questions. Currently v14 running your build with 5 piece hundings 4 ashen, random rings and neck working on shadow walker. So my question is how much of a hit does our damage take switching to the full shadow walker set with engine guardian as well. I imagine it adds a hell of a lot more survivability, but just curious as to how much our damage is affected, considering were trying to burn the target as fast as possible so we can get back to stealth. Thanks

    • Deltia on August 8, 2015 at 1:07 pm

Yeah it’s a big hit in comparison to 5 hundings.

  28. Zach on August 7, 2015 at 9:45 pm

Not sure why my comment disappeared. But again, curious on your choice of engine guardian and shadow walker set for end game pvp. I’m working on finishing shadow walker so I can try it, but was just wondering how it affected our dps. Love the regen and sustain it would give though.

  29. Lockdown on August 8, 2015 at 12:56 am

Thanks deltia, i always enjoy watching your vids, every single video i always learn something small, looking forward to part 2 power leveling,
still cant decide between red guard or khajit, red guard would last longer during battles? khajit deals more damage?, i take it the stealthy passive would only really benefit in PVP if so is it much benefit?
thanks for the effort time into all your vids

    • Deltia on August 8, 2015 at 1:10 pm

Redguard is great but not full melee. Pick what you like and both will be great.

  30. Lonewolf630 on August 8, 2015 at 2:29 am

Deltia I cant understand your link. The 25-50 & Vet bars are the same but when I click them to see what exactly they are it shows something totally Different. Im confused….

    • Deltia on August 8, 2015 at 1:07 pm

Yeah it saved over the 25 bars, I changed it.

  31. Dalton on August 8, 2015 at 4:52 am

  32. Max on August 8, 2015 at 9:47 am

Can’t wait to try this build! You said to use 3 piece Ashen Grip and 5 piece Hunding’s Rage. That’s 8 pieces but you can only have 7 gear pieces. Since you have 2 weapons. Which one with what set?

    • Max on August 8, 2015 at 9:48 am

Which one is with what set*

    • Deltia on August 8, 2015 at 1:09 pm

7 pieces of gear plus weapon.

  34. BlackKnightHD on August 8, 2015 at 1:54 pm

Hey Deltia your builds are really great. I want to ask whether you can make a new sorc dps pvp build for update 7 or is frag out pvp build still great for it?

  35. BlackKnightHD on August 8, 2015 at 2:47 pm

Thanks for all your hard work and great builds. I am not a newbie to elder scrolls but a big lowbe to MMO and group play. Your post and builds have helped me learn how to play in this style. I love this build. In the other elder scroll games I all always played the Darkbrotherhood so this build makes me feel right at home. Thanks. Big fan.

Whats the deal with the 2 acid spray on the skill bar is it bugged?

  39. Adam on August 9, 2015 at 1:04 am

Hey Deltia! I’m finding myself using the old page you made for the Specter NB because of the DW focus instead of the 2H. Are the set ups on that page still viable and, if not, does that mean 2H>DW? I didn’t see DW skills on this page so I was confused.

    • Tholian on August 18, 2015 at 5:02 am

I would like to know this too. If the DW from specter 1.6 can be salvaged for the new patch.

  40. Solomongrundy554 on August 9, 2015 at 4:18 am

Was just curious for the 25 to 50 skills Acid Spray is hotkeyed twice?

  42. Liam on August 9, 2015 at 9:13 am

Umbra or Spectre for new patch? Looking to PVP a fair bit too

  43. Swiftnoodle on August 9, 2015 at 12:01 pm

Deltia, thanks a lot for making this! 🙂
You pretty much answered all my questions I asked on your other specter NB page.
I like your positive and uplifting attitude very much!
It’s refreshing compared to all the complaining and bitching on the official (and PTS) forums.
    Again Thank you!

  44. Justin on August 9, 2015 at 4:34 pm

    Hey Deltia,

First off thanks so much for what you do with these guides and thanks for your service! Been watching your videos since SWTOR. I was wondering why Khajiit is better than Redguard since Redguard has max stam and regen passives? I know Khajiit are getting stam regen in the next update but Just trying to figure your reasoning.

  45. Valwe on August 9, 2015 at 7:27 pm

I want to reiterate the comment about being positive, uplifting, and–I have to add–easy-going. Nicely done, Deltia. I am wondering if you might consider stacking crit for Update 7. I’ve been thinking about this for my Khajiit. Thanks again!

  46. mikeyvm on August 9, 2015 at 7:28 pm

Thanks for the build! I’ve been running something similar, but it never occurred to me to go full poison based with maxed out thaumaturge. The damage increase is very nice.

You say that you are going DW endgame. Does that mean you are going to be 2H all the way to VR14 (16)? Or will you be picking up DW prior to that? I ask because I am VR1 and have been DW for the majority of the time. I have 2H leveled to 40, so I still don’t have rally. Would you suggest dropping DW to finish the VR grind with 2H?

Thanks for all of your hard work!

  47. Treadpool on August 10, 2015 at 12:18 am

So, this build replaces the old one from March? Kinda confusing. If so, maybe state in bold somewhere up front?

  48. Nick Vutsinas on August 10, 2015 at 8:48 am

Hey Deltia, great site and guides man. I have a question when you have the time. I’m rolling a Khajit, using bow/dual wield etc (Nightblade), but I can’t locate the first grind area. Also, you said to pick up the shards on the first 2 islands, which did you mean? I’m playing console btw. Thanks and keep up the awesome work!

  49. Xrobbz on August 11, 2015 at 10:35 am

Hey man, superb work, love this build!
Any progress on the pvp build / setup? Or eta to it. Find myself refreshing this site to many times all days to find it 😉

  50. drewww on August 11, 2015 at 10:48 am

Hola, I have been doing the DW/Bow combo till 42 for my NB. Should I switch to 2h(level 10 atm) ASAP?

  51. Swiftnoodle on August 11, 2015 at 12:21 pm

    Great advice! Thanks!
Could you elaborate a bit on faction please. Why did you choose DC? Is there anything more suited for grind-leveling or do you just like DC the most?
Keep on! I enjoy your videos and all around your style & attitude!

  52. Xerolith on August 11, 2015 at 1:05 pm

Hey Deltia, loving this build so far, only sitting at lvl 17 so far. I noticed above that the 10-25 skills are not linked to a website, to see more info, and also it looks like there is a duplicate skill in the 25-50 build.

Keep up the great work, this site is wonderful for complete noobs like me. We really do appreciate the work you put into your videos and this site.

P.S. – Am I *totally* screwing myself if I am playing an Argonian for this build? 🙁

  53. Justin on August 11, 2015 at 1:09 pm

Hey deltia, just want to thank you for all the time and effort you have put into eso builds so we do not have to. I currently reached end game with the omega Templar build and I must say it does some ridiculous dps, but unfortunately with update 7 this will be nerfed. Is there another magical class you would recommend for update 7 for the highest dps? I’m thinking knight made just need a second opinion. Also will you be making a magic knight made soon?

  54. william on August 11, 2015 at 1:29 pm

Im trying my best to level my VR4 DK. but every time i see you playing the specter, i think damn its too much fun, and end up switching to my VR2 stamina kahjit. At this rate the update will be out before i even hit double figures on either! Damn your awesome streams and videos. keep it up!

ps. when you start trying for the morag tong gear can you include a clip of what you buy, I’m not convinced I’m buying the right PVP vendor sacks.

  55. Jimmy Daydream on August 11, 2015 at 9:45 pm

I realise being a certain race helps. BUT…I have levelled a Breton NB for the awesome magical passive and I’m wondering if I stuffed up? I would love to be able to change between Magika and stamina when the mood suits me, but does robbing myself of any helpful stamina passive a mean the build won’t work for me?

  56. Robert on August 11, 2015 at 11:58 pm

Any advice where to allocate champion points?

    • Tino on August 12, 2015 at 9:13 pm

      im also waiting for that

  57. Bryan on August 12, 2015 at 12:44 am

    Hey Deltia,
Your videos were the first things I saw when I picked up the game a few months ago. I love them and have made several builds based on what you created. I play exclusively solo pve. I was just wondering if this build has enough survivability for solo, or if your Umbra was a better way to go?

  58. keenan on August 12, 2015 at 5:56 am

I was just wondering about crafting abilities in general for this build, do I level them along the way? I plan on doing the missions for the extra skill points, if so what crafting abilities to I want to level?

  59. Ricci2008 on August 13, 2015 at 2:04 am

    Hey Deltia

First of all your builds are amazing thanks for sharing everything you learned playing this game.

    Oke my question:
    Il quote you….
Weapons – Primarily Bow though 2-hand for buff and Dual Wield later on.

I am fully focused on pve am vet4 now on the ps4
And I love dual wield although I like this build what you recommend for the skills to use if going dual wield second bar ?
When will your end game pve video be ready?

    Thanks Deltia

  60. Keenan on August 13, 2015 at 7:09 am

Nice work! I was wondering when exactly the dual wield fit into place, but I have a feeling you are building up to that!

When entering combat do you ever fight with the two handed weapons? Or just switch to it for the buff then keep firing arrows?

  61. G H 0 S T x27 on August 13, 2015 at 3:54 pm

  63. sergeantdonut0522 on August 14, 2015 at 11:49 am

    Hey Deltia,
Great build! So awesome the numbers your pulling with a bow. One question though, is there a reason you don’t use arrow barrage, would it increase your dps if you slotted it. And where would you put it if you did.

  64. Mike on August 14, 2015 at 12:14 pm

Deltia for someone who does not have the Master Bow as of right now what would be a good substitute?

  65. Mike on August 14, 2015 at 12:16 pm

Also with Dual Wield getting Major Brutality from Hidden Blade morph would it be beneficial to go Dual Wield vs 2h?

  66. amploo on August 14, 2015 at 2:19 pm

please explain where you leveled up at, after your first video you mentioned it but never explained anything. I made a bosmer.

  67. babwvb on August 14, 2015 at 3:14 pm

Hey Deltia quick question…you originally said you were going to dual wield for your end game PVE. Did you decide against that?

  68. icuthroats on August 14, 2015 at 8:27 pm

This is an awesome guide. Love the 1-10 and so on….helps so much. Was using your ignition sorcerer but it was hard to figure out what to do first. This guys great!!

  69. Aazrl on August 14, 2015 at 8:59 pm

Ech, I am trying to find items from Morag Tong set, but noone is selling them on PS4 EU server. What is more, after buying pvp packs for more then 300k ap, a single item from this set didn’t drop for me.

    • Tino on August 15, 2015 at 5:56 pm

same with me, i spent about 150k points and didnt get anything 🙁

      • Aazrl on August 17, 2015 at 8:46 am

I have spend over 360k points and got 2 pieces of hawkeye, which I have bought from a guild trader some time ago. The worst thing is that noone is selling Morag Torg items right now.

  70. Luke on August 16, 2015 at 2:05 am

deltia is a redguard a good choice?

  71. Pristine Gamer on August 16, 2015 at 6:21 am

Um is this build very squishy? Because all stamina and now health doesn’t seem very appealing to me. I like your original specter nightblade build. I have been basing my character off of your original specter with a few different things.

    • Deltia on August 16, 2015 at 10:29 pm

      It’s squishy yes.

  72. Dragonrooster on August 16, 2015 at 7:40 pm

  73. rin on August 16, 2015 at 11:36 pm

What should my stamina look like,18k?

  74. BlackKnightHD on August 17, 2015 at 6:09 am

Hey Deltia! Thanks for the new build. Will you make a new sorcerer dps pvp build or ist frag out still good for update 7?

  75. Julian on August 17, 2015 at 6:11 am

Hey Deltia I liked the way the old specter looked escpecially the sneaking and all that. Are you going to do a leveling guide for that one as well? I just started a new character and don’t know where to invest my skill points.

  76. Zardesh on August 17, 2015 at 2:59 pm

Hey had a quick question, why use the “well-fitted” enchantments on the armor? Just curious as to why that is the best choice instead of something like infused or divines

    • Aazrl on August 17, 2015 at 7:25 pm

Because it is not possible to change trait on dropped item. Morag Tong and Hawkeye sets items have only well-fitted trait on each item.

  77. Zardesh on August 17, 2015 at 3:15 pm

Also, in the video is says to use the morph ability “relentless focus” but then in your description at the bottom under the video it says to morph into merciless resolve. I would assume the correct one is relentless focus but it might be good to clarify for those who only watch the video or only read the description.

  78. Tbone on August 17, 2015 at 11:15 pm

Hey there! Like others, I’m curious about the change from DW to 2H. I understand it’s all about Rally, but if we’ve been following your old guide (I’m level 45ish now) and have not been paying attention to 2H, do you recommend refocusing on that grind to get to Rally? You mention that you’ll be switching back to DW for end game, so I was wondering if 2H could be bypassed.

Right now my build has bow for single target DPS, but I’m still using sap essence+steel tornado for AoE. I just don’t want to spend all the time and points to get 2H up just to see an update to the build that switches back. Is there an alternate buff to use other than Rally that you would recommend if wanting to stay DW?

    • Deltia on August 18, 2015 at 6:20 pm

      Using potions with Alchemy

      • Aazrl on August 21, 2015 at 7:25 pm

Or Sap essence skill. I think it gives the same buff.

  79. Lockdown on August 18, 2015 at 12:25 am

Deltia a question, ive watched alot of your videos. you say having more stamina or magicka makes you hit harder? can u explain your theroy on this as it doesnt say anything about more stam mag = more damage?

  80. Liam on August 18, 2015 at 10:06 am

Hi Deltia – Do you have a timeframe on when the PVP build will be up please?

  81. Chris on August 18, 2015 at 7:29 pm

Will you also update the Justice System loadout for this build too? Or is the old one still viable? Thanks!

  82. cj on August 18, 2015 at 11:35 pm

Can you post the champion point spread u use and also which points are priority considering my champion level is only 102

    • Wayne on August 19, 2015 at 11:42 pm

      Typo in gear loadout ?
Shows 6 morag and 4 hawkeye.

  83. Sackrafice on August 20, 2015 at 6:05 am

Shoulders of morag tong do not exist, should update picture.

  84. Philgo on August 20, 2015 at 7:39 pm

Been looking for a build like this and I look forward to playing with it a bit. I think you have a mistype in the gear grid. You have 6 pieces of Morag Tong and 4 pieces of Hawk’s Eye. I think the Cowl of the Hawk’s Eye would be used instead of the Helmet of Morag Tong (which is EXPENSIVE; you bought one from me for 190k 😉 ), to make it 5 and 5.

    • Aazrl on August 21, 2015 at 7:31 pm

It is not possible, since without morag tong helmet you will not be able to complete the set, because you have to use hawkeye shoulders 🙂

  85. Kheleb on August 20, 2015 at 9:31 pm

    Hey man,

I am new to the game and following this guide. It is a lot of fun, but there is something I dont get: how can you have acid spray in lvl 10-25, along with some others that are pretty deep in the according skill tree? I am lvl 8 right now and have bow at lvl 11. How is it poasible to get all the skills and morphs that early?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    • Deltia on August 21, 2015 at 2:33 pm

You’re probably not going to get the morph, but I put in their so you exactly what to take when you have the chance.

    • Justin on August 21, 2015 at 2:56 pm

Make sure you’re using a training bow that’ll help speed up the skill line.

  86. KyleD on August 20, 2015 at 10:57 pm

    Thanks Deltia!

I spent almost all the gold I’ve made from selling provisioning fragments to get all the gear and first test has got me excited to play my main again, a khajit stamina nightblade. With all the stamina struggles the first year of this game I had just shelved this character as my crafter.

  87. Red on August 21, 2015 at 1:36 am

Not sure if someone has pointed this out but did you mean to do 6 Morag Tog and only 4 Hawk Eye?

    • KyleD on August 21, 2015 at 2:30 am

Shoulder piece should be hawk’s eye set.

  88. Jared on August 21, 2015 at 1:37 pm

Hey Deltia, love all your builds and videos – question, in the power leveling video you mention bow and dual wield, but in the article you talk about 2-handed – can I make this build effective with dual wield, and if so, what skills instead of the 2 handed?

  89. Robert on August 22, 2015 at 8:06 am

On the 25 to 50 skill bar you have two acid sprays is there spouse to be another ability in place of that or some reason its on there twice would love to help you with builds and guides add me Valtharion_3282

    • Solomongrundy554 on September 3, 2015 at 10:02 pm

I’ve mentioned that as well as others. I’m guessing it’s a placeholder for whatever other ability you want? I think if it was an error it would have been addressed by now. Maybe there should be a note if it isn’t an accident.

  90. Qix84 on August 22, 2015 at 11:40 pm

  92. James on August 25, 2015 at 9:20 am

Hey Deltia I’m a pretty new player to the elders scrolls, watched the majority of your build vids for all class and pvp stuff I’m currently running a werewolf bosmer nightblade just wondering if it would be better to run khajiit. If I were to stay as I am would this class work well for me don’t really wanna use werewolf mainly use it for passives.

  93. Nashin93 on August 25, 2015 at 9:51 am

    Hey Deltia,

I have a 5 piece set of Shrouded Armor set that my main use to at VR1, Im debating using it on the nightblade for pvp.

Obviously it adds magicka and stam recovery, max health, but my main reason is that Incapacitating strikes is a 50 ultimate cast, and you get a chunk of health back every time a ultimate is activated.

My main concern is loosing the stealth movement speed from 5 piece nights silence, do you think its worth going vamp to take this armor? or stick with nights silence / hundings for crit?

    Thanks for your time.

    • Deltia on August 25, 2015 at 2:50 pm

I like Night Silence but you’ll need Hundings 5 piece for major damage.

  94. Amy on August 26, 2015 at 2:39 am

would woodelf be good for this build?

  95. Jack Fusco on August 26, 2015 at 6:15 am

Hey deltia just wondering if you can help me
Out , I’m A kahjiit night blade , stamina base build , I do pve most of the time at v14 , I’m just wondering what armor sets I should be using , I use bow and dual wield also,

  96. Devon on August 26, 2015 at 6:19 am

Hey Deltia, was wondering what your Crit % value is in this new build. I’m currently sitting at 30% with the new setup vs. 50% on your old. I really like the skill setup in this build however so I was curious if 30% would be a problem. Also side not, I don’t have nearly as many points in Champion as you so maybe thats the reason? Thanks for your builds!

  97. Shane on August 27, 2015 at 3:38 am

i wanna start off by saying i love all your builds! the Specter Nightblade is my favorite so far. i was wondering if you could please post a Screenshot of you VR14 Nightblade character sheet with all your buffs on i want to see where I’m sitting compared to you. Thanks for your time.

  98. Lionnel on August 27, 2015 at 12:03 pm

    Hey Deltia,
this looks really good, thx. Already got the hawk eye stuff and 2 idtem morag tong, but feel a little nervous with the low health, thats why I still have some attribute points in health.
Cant wait for the PvP Version?

  99. Slaintemaith on August 27, 2015 at 1:44 pm

I think I’m missing something in the play-style. I’m just hitting 20 now, and have mostly kept up with the skill schedule. Although I can own groups of mobs, it’s the bosses that kill me. I can mow through anything that doesn’t have a lot of hp’s, but when it’s a prolonged fight I run out of stamina, never quite siphon back enough, and then bravely but ultimately die.

  100. Barry on August 27, 2015 at 2:45 pm

Could you post a screenshot of you character sheet for your vr14 night blade please i want to compare numbers thanks.

  101. Flufy on August 27, 2015 at 3:27 pm

Hey Delta, what is your weapon damage for this guide? I seem to only get about 1500 honestly, though I am missing the master bow. Any helpful suggestions?

    • FSBeast808 on September 7, 2015 at 4:51 am

thats weird. i currently have 5 piece Hawks eye and 5 piece hundings and my weap dmg un buffed is at 2170

What is the best now enchantment to apply when crafting for leveling vr1? I love your guides and thanks!!

That was supposed to be bow enchantment! Thanks for the reply when you get a chance!

Can’t wait to see the updates.

      Im console

  105. Haagus on September 1, 2015 at 4:08 pm

In the video and the rotation section, you mention Snipe, LA, PI. But the notes also mention Merciless Resolve and using the proc. Now that the proc is only after 4 LAs, should we adding that into the rotation as well? It’s on my back back as well, so would need to weapon swap. Not sue if it hits hard enough for the time lost in the rotation. Thanks

    • Deltia on September 3, 2015 at 1:24 am

I have been and it works.

  106. Dennis Degeling on September 1, 2015 at 5:19 pm

Deltias i love watching your guides! Really amazing! Thnx from The Nederlands! ?

  107. Haagus on September 2, 2015 at 5:17 pm

Quick question about Merciless. I see that in the video and the rotation listed above, it looks like we’re just using that for the buff. Standard rotation of Snipe, LA and PI. However, in the above notes, it mentions the proc as a good source of damage. With 7, should we be trying to add the Merciless proc into the rotation? I keep it on the back bar as well and not sure if this is going to be a DPS loss w/ the bar swap.

    • Haagus on September 2, 2015 at 5:20 pm

Sorry, Have no idea how I double posted. Checked several times the previous post and it refused to display. Assumed it somehow got lost or I hit the wrong button.

One technical question, instead of deleting a character, can you move it from pc to console?

  110. Chrizz on September 5, 2015 at 6:34 pm

    Hi Deltia,

I love playing a specter, stealthy assasin type NB. Even tho i am a Breton, suboptimal i know, but i am a roleplayer so i prefer race of maximizing skills,
Having said this, i like to play Bow with DW instead of 2H. What skills would u advice in replacing the 2H skills for DW ones?

thansk for any help u can provide and keep up the great work!!

  111. Maxor on September 5, 2015 at 8:52 pm

I want to make a NB but I am unsure of the race should I go Imperial or Bosmer I want to DW and use a bow and also are NB any good a lot of people say they are bad class regarding DPS and PVP but I know some NBs who say they are amazing

  112. xTKASx on September 7, 2015 at 10:50 am

Can you show a pvp setup using this build

  113. etur0 on September 7, 2015 at 11:53 am

Why ambush and not critical rush I think critical rush would work better and do more damage

    • Deltia on September 8, 2015 at 1:03 pm

Empowerment bonus making your next attack do 20% more thus more burst in a short window.

  114. oryx on September 7, 2015 at 1:17 pm

hey man, can u update nb build for imperial city? would be so helpful thanks

  117. James on September 10, 2015 at 9:13 am

    Hi Deltia

If seen a lot of your videos and you refer to key binding, I’m on the ps4 is it possible to do this? If not is it possible to change the dodge roll to make it easier?

    • Lewis on September 18, 2015 at 3:47 pm

It is possible to change keys on the ps4, If you google search it you’ll sound find out how. I swapped sneak and weapon swap around so I don’t have to take my thumb off the movement stick to swap weapons. The only problem is its permanent across everything, clicking the right stick is like pressing left on the d-pad unless you change it back.

  118. Mike on September 12, 2015 at 3:15 am

Just curious. Why 6 pieces of Morag Tong?

  119. Xavier on September 12, 2015 at 4:53 am

Can you name some good DW abilities instead of 2h?. What advice do you have.

  120. oryx on September 12, 2015 at 10:24 am

  121. SneaK on September 13, 2015 at 5:11 pm

You don’t even have Cloak slotted on the “Spectre” build…………….. Derp

    • Solomongrundy554 on September 13, 2015 at 7:29 pm

Yeah I’ve been putting shadow cloak on my 2h and having success with it. Idk I find it at level 45 so far to be better than killer’s blade.

  122. Mrisco23 on September 13, 2015 at 6:29 pm

  123. Chrizz on September 14, 2015 at 9:26 am

Hi Deltia, thx for this great spec.. it’s amazing!!
    i’m a imperial specter 20 lvl for now 🙂

can you fix the image of bar in the 25-50 lvl ? because there are double slotted acid spray (with graphic of arrow spray)..

  125. Solomongrundy554 on September 16, 2015 at 6:35 pm

Update patch says Grim Focus only needs 4 hits instead of 7. Haven’t been able to get on yet as I’m still downloading but that sounds like a big improvement.

  126. michael on September 17, 2015 at 12:00 pm

I’m running a level 30 redguard spectre asd my main. The IC update for the consoles hit yesterday and all my skill points have been reset. Do you think it’s better to go with umbra moving forward and is it to late to start using destro and resto staffs if ido make the switch? Thanks.

  131. AmeliaRose on September 24, 2015 at 11:33 am

Heya – for those starting out or have no way of obtaining the recommended gear, what you would suggest as a replacement?

    • Deltia on September 26, 2015 at 12:34 am

Craftable Hunding’s Rage and Ashen Grip.

  132. pogo on September 24, 2015 at 8:18 pm

I dont think this 2h build does more dps than a dw nb, deltia. and Im positive you’d rather have ravager over all 5 morag (poison isnt doing much for bow dps being low already and does nothing for 2h swap) even for pve endgame. (not now because we will want agility/sheer venom/hundings in IC), but this end game high damage build is suffering bro.

  133. Nullfix on September 25, 2015 at 3:09 pm

Any updates on the PVP build?

  134. InPhamouZ on October 2, 2015 at 11:07 pm

    Hi Deltia,

After going through both your DK and NB builds, I rolled a Stamina NB as an Imperial. So far I’m loving the character. However I do have one question and hope you could address them for me.

Also this is my first and only character in ESO and …
    I mainly PvE (80%) and PvP (20%), probably (90% / 10%) lol.

    1. As a Stamina NB who is focusing on Bow, 2H and DW how should I distribute my skill points other than the “combat” skills you mentioned in the video? Meaning how should I approach crafting. Again, this is my one and only character in ESO.

I know this may not be a quick “Post Comment” answer, but any direction would be appreciated.

    Thank You,

    • Kfro on October 3, 2015 at 12:26 am

Yeah so generally if you want to run his builds you’ll want to use the suggested skills, although if you use different skills that work for you then spec into them. Also some fights might require different abilities over another.

  135. InPhamouZ on October 3, 2015 at 1:01 am

    Hey Kfro,

    Thanks –
I actually did some calculation to see how many skill points I will be using, of course this is based on Deltia’s suggestions.
Here are my results… sorry for the long post!

[Assassination, Shadow, Siphoning] – all skills and morph them all AND passives [60 points]
[Two Handed] – all skills and morph them all AND passives [20 points]
[Dual Wield] – all skills and morph them all AND passives [20 points]
[Bow] – all skills and morph them all AND passives [20 points]
[Medium Armor] – all PASSIVE skills [11 points]
[Fighter Guild] – Ultimate AND all passives [10 points]
[Mages Guild] – Ultimate [1 points]
[Undaunted] – all passives [4 points]
[Racial] – all passives [9 points]
These are basically what Deltia suggested –

Now, crafting skills I have in mind so I can craft stuff for myself, not going to be a Master Crafter by taking all crafting skills, just the ones I think I may need and what I had in mind to MAX. This is probably off by A MILE, or may not be do-able, but just my thought. (Still learning about the game)

    [Alchemy] – Everything (21 points)
[Blacksmith] – Metalworking, Metal Extraction and Temper Expert (16 points)
[Clothing] – Tailoring, Unraveling and Tanning Expert (16 points)
[Enchanting] – Aspect Improve, Potency Improve and Runestone Extract (17 points)
[Provisioning] – everything minus Hireling (22 points)
[Woodworking] – Woodworking, Wood Extract and Resin Expert (16 points)

Total from my calculation is 263 skill points and from what I heard there is 300+, but I’m going with 300 and a round number. So seems like I can do it, but do you see any objections on why I shouldn’t?

Also, due to other events/activities in life, dedicate to one character for ESO is probably my capacity 🙂

    Thank You!
    Again, sorry for long post.

  136. Lionnel on October 6, 2015 at 10:51 am

Well, just returned from an Egypt trip, but was disappointed. Still no PvP build part for Specter

  137. Jessi on October 7, 2015 at 11:00 am

Hey just two mistakes I’ve noticed here:
you’re level 10-15 skills aren’t clickable, they dont go to a skill builder when you click them.
and on your level 15-25 skills you have acid spray on there twice which im sure is a mistake lol

  138. Fossy_boy on October 7, 2015 at 12:15 pm

Great build! Thanks for all your hard work you do Deltia! How long on the much awaited PvP build though…?

    • Deltia on October 7, 2015 at 6:33 pm

New content to cover, only so many hours in a day.

  139. Lord Monkey Man on October 9, 2015 at 2:17 pm

I don’t know if anyone mention it, but in your gear set you have listed 6 Morag Tong and only 4 Hawk Eye. I think you might need to change 1 of the Tong to Hawk Eye.

  140. Anthony on October 9, 2015 at 3:58 pm

Merciless Resolve or Relentess Focus.? Not sure which 1 to go with…this is my first toon (lvl 44 khajiit nightblade)

    • Kfro on October 9, 2015 at 6:57 pm

From a stamina nightblade I would go with relentess focus for the extra stamina regen.

      • Anthony on October 9, 2015 at 7:10 pm

Yea i think im going to go with that…i do run into problems where stamina pool drains too quickly..esp when i run solo

  141. Alarices on October 13, 2015 at 12:08 am

    Ahoi mateys 🙂

Just a quick question from a (big) noob: I nearly always play altmer if I have the choice, I just love the looks of that race (don’t judge me xD)
Do I seriously gimp myself if I wanna give this build a shot with an altmer? I haven’t gotten a clear answer anywhere else, some say racial passives are THE most important thing if you wanna raid and stuff, others say ‘nah, just pick what ya like’.. I just wanna do casual PvE and PvP, maybe with some raids if I ever reach endgame 🙂

    • Kfro on October 13, 2015 at 3:24 pm

I would go for the play what you want attitude even though I go for the more optimized builds. But any race works with anyway class, it may just not be the best. Plus if you want to run altmer check out the umbra nightblade because the two go together really well.

  142. AMidget_Ninja on October 13, 2015 at 6:00 pm

I noticed in the end game PvE build you put merciless resolve as 8% damage and having 10% stamina. But its the relentless focus morph that does the 10% stamina regen while merciless resolve only adds more damage and a snare.

Hey, I have just started to play Eso and wanted to use this build to level up and master my character.

For some reason the webpage is not allowing me a detailed look at your lvl10-25 ability suggestions.

  145. Lionnel on October 14, 2015 at 12:24 pm

Hey, just found the time to watch the PvP video. It looks pretty good and as I am not a pro in PvP you video explained some things really well and even so I believe I will not be able to play like this, I still think it’ll help me.
Only one thing, the champion point do not go well with the PvP version (unless you have tons of it) cause the PvP goes much with poison so I have a lot of points in Thaumaturg. Looks like I have to decide, if I wanna use this char for PvE or PvP.

  146. THTax on October 15, 2015 at 8:39 am

Hey deltias great build, i follow both this build and the biting jabs stam templar builds. how come on this build you have the acid spray skill slotted twice on the 25-50 bar?

    • Deltia on October 15, 2015 at 2:03 pm

Mistake, it should be Two Hander ability.

  147. Victor on October 16, 2015 at 3:31 am

Hey, is it good for a imperial nightblade?

  148. daro on October 19, 2015 at 6:48 pm

hi deltia. when looking at my noob nb abilities, it seems they all consume magicka, not stamina. ditto for my noob dk. i read somehere else that the dk is now stamina based not magicka anymore. but the tiles still say magicka needed to use that ability. or maybe i am misunderstanding the tile? i am an overall noob to these kinds of games. could you pls sort out how an ability that says it needs magicka can be used when you dont put points in magicka? i must be misunderstanding something somewhere along the line.

    • Deltia on October 19, 2015 at 7:34 pm

Some abilities are stamina some morphs are magicka, just need to read the tooltip and look at what it says.

      • daro on October 19, 2015 at 8:17 pm

yes i do read the tootips:

        dark cloak costs magicka
strife costs magicka and morphs into funnel health, which costs magicka
killer blade costs stamina, but first you must use assassin blade, which costs magicka

you call this a stamina build, which tells me you are putting your points into stamina/health, not magicka? if so, then where is the magicka coming from to execute dark cloak and strife/funnel health?

  149. CrazedAssassin on October 19, 2015 at 7:45 pm

Why are you doing six piece Morag Tong?
Wouldn’t it be better to trade out the Morag Tong belt for a belt of The Hawk’s Eye?

    • Deltia on October 20, 2015 at 1:14 pm

Well why six pieces of morag tong when there’s only 5 piece bonus? Also, I don’t use the bow setup for PvE any longer. I’ll be using double melee soon.

  150. CrazedAssassin on October 19, 2015 at 7:55 pm

Sorry noticed the the Morag Tong set only has 6 pieces.
Dagger, Helm, Pendant, Belt, Gloves, and Boots.

So why not Arm Cops of the Hawk’s Eye?

  151. Agent Skyline on October 19, 2015 at 10:06 pm

Hey Deltia, I was just wondering if you are working on another pve nightblade build and if not when because I really love your builds. Is the last build you made still good?

    • Deltia on October 20, 2015 at 1:16 pm

Yep, trying to make the Specter build now. It’s a bit too complicated due to so many good buffs. Trying to find a way to make it easier to play and still do tons of damage.

  152. ScientiSalarian on October 20, 2015 at 11:09 am

Hey Deltia Ive been loosely following your Spectre build leveling up my Wood Elf NP and i’ve really been enjoying it. When I got to around level 42 or so though and had rally maxed out and what not I replaced my Bow with Dual-Wield to just make sure i had it leveled up. But I’ve actually been enjoying playing DW/2h more than Bow/2h. Can DW be viable End Game PVE DPS? or will it just not compare to the bow? Also I’m curious if you play on PS4 or Xbox one at all. I started on PC and transferred my DK who is now just my crafter and have been playing my NB since and loving it. But without all the ADD-ONs I feel like us console players are at a huge disadvantage. Anyway if you do play on PS4 at all I wouldnt mind grouping up with ya sometime. Ive been playing MMO’s since Everquest and I feel I’m very good at creating builds and what not. But like i said without parsers on console it makes it a lot more difficult to Min/Max. Sorry I started rambling a bit but my main question was would a DW/2h build be able to compare to bow/2h build for PVE DPS and do you play on ps4 at all? And BTW thanks so much for all the info you put out there

    • Deltia on October 20, 2015 at 1:19 pm

Yes DW is just fine though I spam Surprise Attack rather than a DW specific ability.

  153. silvia on October 21, 2015 at 9:00 pm

Hi Deltia, why you change to dual melee ? bow / 2h is no longer fun or effective in PvE ?

    • Deltia on October 22, 2015 at 8:04 pm

I explain in the video the scaling of poison damage.

  154. IlxCZ on October 22, 2015 at 5:14 pm

HI Deltia, does this build work on vampire character ?

    • Deltia on October 22, 2015 at 8:08 pm

I posted my thoughts about vampire in the guide.

  155. NewBPlayer15 on October 23, 2015 at 6:58 am

Just a thought, I don’t see any helm sets? Is there a reason why Molag Kena would not be a good choice? Even for just one piece?

    • Deltia on October 24, 2015 at 2:02 pm

  156. NewBPlayer15 on October 23, 2015 at 6:59 am

And since this is a squishy build, would it hurt to put about 5 attribute points to health?

    • Deltia on October 24, 2015 at 2:03 pm

That or enchant health in armor.

  157. Scirth on October 25, 2015 at 10:41 pm

Thanks for the guides. Are you saying bow is no longer effective for end game PVE? Any idea why Thaumaturge scaling changed so significantly? Loved the prior bow build.

    • Deltia on October 27, 2015 at 11:52 am

Yes and I forget what patch, but it had to do with scaling of poison damage on weapon power. Is it useful, yes but not best damage.

  158. AL16 on October 26, 2015 at 8:34 am

Deltia Why not use Twice Born Star for this build

  159. Ulti on October 26, 2015 at 9:06 am

wait…. when did poison bows get nerfed? theres nothing about it in the patch notes??? ninja nerf??? Please clarify.

    • Deltia on October 27, 2015 at 11:57 am

I can’t find it in the patch notes without spending hours.

  160. Ulti on October 26, 2015 at 9:49 am

Nothing about Thaumaturge scaling changes in the PTS patch notes… If this is true, it sounds like a stealth nerf. Please explain.

  161. Comp1y Or Die on October 26, 2015 at 12:10 pm

Is there a viable bow/dual wield build for pve?, im a wood elf nightblade

    • Deltia on October 27, 2015 at 11:59 am

Bow still works, just not the best at the moment.

  162. EmvyOnline on October 27, 2015 at 4:01 am

Deltia, would the Night’s Silence set be viable in this build? And what about Shadowy Disguise? My character sneaks a LOT, and I find these necessary often, especially when I’m taking advantage of the Justice system.

    • Deltia on October 27, 2015 at 12:01 pm

Yes, you lose a lot of damage on Night Silence 5 piece but if you like it you can make it work. Generally I stay away from Shadowy Disguise as I run 82% critical and it seems like overkill.

      • EmvyOnline on October 27, 2015 at 12:30 pm

Well, I also use the Thief boon, which buffs my critical chance. I was also curious if you thought that boon is viable, as well. I have been using it forever and I have 70%+ critical chance with my 5 Night’s Silence and 4 Hunding’s Rage (all blue).

        • EmvyOnline on October 27, 2015 at 12:32 pm

Also, would you say then, if I use Night’s Silence, would I want HR or the other set you mentioned? I apologize for the abundance of comments.

          • Deltia on October 28, 2015 at 1:13 pm

Hunding’s Rage is superior in damage to Silence, so yes.

        • Deltia on October 28, 2015 at 1:12 pm

Thief is great, but I think Shadow is better for pure DPS.

  163. EmvyOnline on October 27, 2015 at 4:51 am

Also, if you could please comment on not using Rapid Strikes or Ambush in this build? Mostly Ambush. I love having a gap closer, and this doesn’t seem to have one.

    • Deltia on October 27, 2015 at 12:03 pm

In PvE, with a tank, generally there’s no need to close the gap. Usually I want to start from stealth anyways with a surprise attack for a one shot kill. If I were just leveling, PvP or something like that, I’d swap rending slashes for Ambush.

  164. Gadd on October 31, 2015 at 7:25 pm

Hi Deltia, you are really helping us – casual players, thank you.

“Race Choice – 1) Khajiit is still my favorite for high weapon critical 2) Imperial for something tankier 3) Orc for burst and speed.”

I really want an Orc but everybody is spitting on them…so what does Orc have for burst since you mentioned that?

    • Deltia on October 31, 2015 at 10:48 pm

Than play an Orc, they get you weapon damage.

  165. redarrow on November 1, 2015 at 8:40 am

in the end game pve there is vigor but i hate doing pvp can i change it with something and so yes what is the best ?

    • Deltia on November 3, 2015 at 2:21 pm

The only other stamina heal is two handed Rally and it’s not very powerful. You can get away with that but it’ll be challenging.

  166. Gadd on November 1, 2015 at 7:06 pm

Would it work that I just start with “End Game PvE Build” DW + 2H since I really hate bows?

    Thank you

  167. Emvy Online on November 3, 2015 at 4:29 pm

For PvP, what are your suggested attributes?

    • Deltia on November 3, 2015 at 8:42 pm

      Reach 20k health rest stamina.

  168. Ace on November 12, 2015 at 9:14 am

Hi, I’ve been following your blogs for quite a while, and I got adapted my playstyle to your Templar battery build.

Playing a stam archer now while my friends catch up to my level. Why does the Level 1-10 bar have a bow skill and a two-handed skill?

And as said above I’m planning to use a bow/dual-dagger build for my stam nightblade (planning to go full stereotypical rogue) – is this feasible in endgame pve? or is the skill bonus/passives/whatever from two-handed really significant to be ignored?

    • Deltia on November 12, 2015 at 3:14 pm

If you watched the video, I explain that you want to level both skill line at the same time.

  169. PieFace_92 on November 21, 2015 at 9:22 am

Hi Deltia, first off I just want to say thanks for the guide. It’s a thing of beauty!

Secondly, I’m not sure if it’s a mistake or not but on the levels 25-50 build you have arrow spray twice? Just wondering what other skill you would be using as you can’t have the same skill twice in one bar…

  170. mike on November 21, 2015 at 10:54 pm

Anyone have this build redone in an accurate calculator.. trying to level as this and its becoming difficult to keep track of the skill point allotment when it comes to passives etc.

    thanks in advance.

  171. Nick on November 24, 2015 at 9:31 pm

i love my bow, is there any room for it in the post 2.2 patch build? what are the main detractors to bow vs. 2h / dw approach – so basically old specter build? did the latest patch nerf bow damage?

    • Deltia on November 26, 2015 at 1:04 am

The bow will be back in Maelstrom once I get it complete. Single target it’s just still weak in this patch but you can make it work.

  172. Mortalrain on November 25, 2015 at 8:45 pm

Deltia , i love To use bows, may you tell me What i should use of armor To continue using the bow (v16 char ) ? Right now i am aiming for : 5 pieces hunding , 3 night mother( with bow) , 3 pieces agility and for secondary weapon dual wield both endurace

    • Deltia on November 26, 2015 at 1:11 am

That’s a good setup, but I’d go with 2H for secondary weapon.

      • Mortalrain on November 28, 2015 at 11:32 am

        Thx for the help!

  173. Medkits on November 26, 2015 at 8:37 am

Even with 2.2 do you still level with your bow and 2h, then change to dual wield later on?

  174. etur0 on November 30, 2015 at 6:27 pm

You are the only person that I know that say night mothers is more powerful than hunding’s rage set

  175. Stephen on November 30, 2015 at 7:02 pm

    Hey Deltia,

Picked up the game a few months ago on PS4 and your videos have been a huge help. Im starting to get into Maelstrom now and waiting for your video to render now. I noticed on your gear set up on the site says all light armor? Im sure thatll be explained in the video but Im too curious to wait

    • Deltia on December 3, 2015 at 2:40 pm

Specter is medium and should be on YouTube now.

  176. Atomsk on December 1, 2015 at 9:49 am

Does the night mother’s gaze 5 piece effect stack with major fracture from suprise attack?

    • Deltia on December 3, 2015 at 3:01 pm

      I “think” so.

  177. Dropbear on December 3, 2015 at 6:47 am

Are you sure the maelstrom build uses light armor?

    • Deltia on December 3, 2015 at 3:00 pm

I screwed that up, let me change graphic.

  178. joey on December 3, 2015 at 7:50 am

where is the pvp godly nightblade build for primary dual wield secondary bow for xbox one

  179. MaKTaiL on December 3, 2015 at 4:40 pm

Hey Deltia, I’ve been using The Specter for a long time now for PVE. It has been great! I have a question though: Have you seen the “Briarheart Set” that drops from Orisinium? The final trait seems to be the perfect fit for The Specter:

(5 items) Briarheart: 10% chance when you deal Critical Damage to create Briarthorns which increases your Weapon Damage by 449 for 10 seconds. While Briarthorns is active, your Critical Hits will heal you for 627 Health. Briarthorns can apply once every 15 seconds.

    Here is the link:
    What do you think?

    • Deltia on December 4, 2015 at 2:25 am

I don’t think Briarheart is very good and the heal isn’t that worth nor is the uptime.

      • MaKTaiL on December 5, 2015 at 12:25 pm

It has the same first traits as Hunding’s Rage and we can make a full set with Rings and Necklace. I think it would be a very good replacementonce we get the set since we are not using the final trait from Hunding’s Rage.

  180. Mike on December 3, 2015 at 7:29 pm

What are the weapons you are using, just says crafted…

    • Deltia on December 4, 2015 at 2:38 am

I use Maelstrom but anything can work since you don’t pair it with another set.

  181. BL0ODE4GLE on December 3, 2015 at 7:59 pm

Hey Deltia! Thanks for all your hard work, really appreciate it! Just wanted to let you know that the skill link for levels 10-25 doesn’t open and on 25-50 you have acid spray on bar 1 twice

    • Dev on December 15, 2015 at 8:07 pm

Hi I noticed this also, there is no skill link for Levels 10-25. Deltia, could you fix the link for that please? Thank you for the awesome guide.

  182. Joey on December 4, 2015 at 2:34 am

Ok cool my comment just got ignored. do you have a night blade wood elf PVP primary dual wield , secondary bow skill build for Xbox one console, I say Xbox one because the skills that mentioned above like mass hysteria and etc does not exist on eso scroll for Xbox one unless I’m blind

    • Deltia on December 6, 2015 at 9:05 am

It does exist on Xbox, you have to morph it. I have Xbox too, so yes it’s the same game.

      • Joey on December 6, 2015 at 7:56 pm

That’s cool yeah I just noticed the morph thing. So the best PVP build for a night blade is a Dual Wield , 2h? not dual wield cause I’m a Bosner I’m trying to be godly but the specter build doesn’t sound really good for PVP unless there’s a certain level in which u should pvp

  183. CrazedAssassin on December 11, 2015 at 5:17 pm

Okay, so we have a Maelstrom Bow and 2h build.

Is there anything that you would change for it to do trials, or other pve content?
I was really looking at the briarheart set and would like to know your oponion on that as well.

    • Deltia on December 13, 2015 at 9:43 pm

I would use Dual Wielding not bow for trials. I have yet to thoroughly test Briarheart, looks interesting but I don’t know if the uptime is enough to make it worth it.

    • MaKTaiL on December 13, 2015 at 9:59 pm

I currently use the Briarheart set with Hundings Rage set as well. My critical is 80% so the Briarheart Passive comes up most of the time. As soon is its activated it lasts for 10 seconds and has a cooldown of 5 seconds (10 after activation counts too). My weapon damage goes to 3100 when it is up. I recommend it 100%.

      • Deltia on December 14, 2015 at 4:45 pm

Thanks I just got the neck today I’ll work on it.

  184. SigvaldrX on December 11, 2015 at 7:40 pm

Hey, Deltia! How’s PvP for 2.2 looking on this build? Still similar to 2.1 or did you go DW/Rapid Strikes?

I noticed a lot of Imperials are switching to magicka and running Proxy, Sap, Soul Harvest, Tether and pumping Thama up and wiping groups. What’s your take on that?

    • Deltia on December 13, 2015 at 9:45 pm

Similar to 2.1, I don’t use Rapid Strikes just Surprise Attack and Steel Tornado in groups. Magicka and proxy det is fantasic especially if you want to jump in, kill and get out. I play with groups and Steel Tornado is still the best AoE in the game 12.5m vs Impulse 6m or sap 6m.

  185. Ryan on December 13, 2015 at 5:37 am

Hey deltia, I’m level 49 and I’ve followed everything you have with skill points and all that good stuff.. But I’m not a vet so I don’t have access to this armor. What armor do you suggest and where can I get/buy/find it? I really want to know so I can do some work. I’m getting rekt in non vet PVP. I do no damage with this build and I’m gussing it has to do with my gear. Please help.

    • Deltia on December 13, 2015 at 9:47 pm

There’s low level sets of Viper, Druegh King and maybe even Ravager that make great replacement in non vet.

    hey deltia.
i need tank build can you write here skills and gear pls.

  187. Furiant on December 16, 2015 at 10:53 pm

Hi, thanks for your work. I’m really set on playing primarily as an archer, and I just can’t find any current builds (that seem viable). I found this one and was excited, until I see that at end game you’re not using any bow skills at all. You start off with some bow, then add a bit more, but gradually move to entirely melee. Is it just not possible to play bow at end game?

I have zero interest in PvP and mainly want to run dungeons and solo.

    Thanks again.

    • Deltia on December 17, 2015 at 4:44 pm

I used bow in Veteran Maelstrom Arena, check that.

  188. Kay on December 31, 2015 at 8:47 pm

The way you are showing your build is really frustrating to work with. Why not use interactive graphics that say what the skills are, instead of images? The pages they images are linking to are also really bad. Surely there must be a better solution for this?

    • Deltia on January 1, 2016 at 3:32 pm

I am one person and truthfully know very little about website work. The amount of time it would take for me to learn that or hire someone isn’t worth it. Though I’d love to have something like that on my site.

      • Jared Holloway on January 13, 2016 at 1:55 pm

Deltia, making the graphics a little more interactive shouldn’t be too hard. Maybe a little use of HTML. (I don’t know if this comment is replying to the right one – doing this off my phone)

  189. MortalRain on January 2, 2016 at 10:11 pm

Hi deltia , i did my build but got diferente things , nos i use armor: 5 hunding , 2 night mother. Weapon : bow night mother , dual wield agility . Jelewery : 1 agility necklace and 2 endurance rings …….. If u have some time this skills for bow and tell me what u think ! – snipe ( venon morph ) + poison injection + shadow cloack + evil hunter + reaper’s mark —> i use always this combo that is great for single target: use evil hunter , go stealth and use snipe , bafore hiting use mark , use snipe + norlma shot at same time and go on with poison injection….. Mang times i killed ppl with this – it is only for 1 vs1 and your char position is the secreat …. If u fail To kill with this u can use the shadow cloack To try once more or use it To run and dodge rolling To get speed

  190. Irwin on January 3, 2016 at 2:21 am

I really appreciate the guide and I am not trash talking it or anything, but its a bit hard for me to understand the terminology because I am a newbie. I see the leveling section but then the pvp area’s skillset and passives are completely different from the leveling guide. What concerns me is that I’ll end up running out of skill points to be able to level and also build the pvp and pve skill bars.
Will running out of skill points be an issue?
    What is considered “end-game”?
I’ve heard that vet ranks are going away, don’t qoute me on the I just heard about it, so will that affect the build?
How do I transition from “leveling build” into the “pvp/pve build”? Do I just change the skills?
When is the appropriate time to “transition”?
I really really appreciate your guy’s feedback and any other tips that veteran ESO players might give me! Thanks a ton guys, hopefully this post doesn’t bother you too much!

    • Deltia on January 4, 2016 at 6:35 pm

Skill points, you can acquire nearly 350 throughout the game so no.
End game is the final level aka VR16
VR is going away, but I don’t know when.
I’ll update my builds once VR has been removed.
Yes, just change the skills and update your gear as you go.
      At the suggested levels.

Trust me I get comments that are threatening, you’re just sharing your thoughts nothing wrong with that.

    • Deltia on January 8, 2016 at 2:34 pm

Well I think I show that in the video but around 80% weapon critical, 20k health and 25k max stamina is roughly what I have with 501 CP.

Just out of interest which is generally better: Magicka or stamina? And would I need to stay as a magicka build since I’m a dark elf?

    • Deltia on January 21, 2016 at 1:57 pm

Depends on content, group/solo PvE/PvP. In general stam for PvP, mag for PvE.

At the moment I’m running your old bow pve level everything evenly I’m lvl 22 my question is should I stay the course or respec out of bow since it’s no longer as damaging as it once was. I do intend on pvping with the later pvp spec thanks.

    • Deltia on February 4, 2016 at 2:19 pm

Depends, do you like it? If you do and want to PvP, bows still work fine for that.

  205. Simm on February 4, 2016 at 2:33 pm

    • Deltia on February 16, 2016 at 10:48 pm

It’s a disadavantage for sure, probably around 5 to 7% in terms of damage.

  213. Sataran on February 18, 2016 at 2:01 am

hey deltia i just wanted to ask how do these builds compare to what us console players are on patch wise and can these be used on console with the same kind of impact that they have on pc

    • Deltia on February 18, 2016 at 12:39 pm

I have used them on consoles and they work just fine.

      • Sataran on February 18, 2016 at 2:26 pm

Awsome I’ll have to give it a try out also were is a good place to grind cp as I’m running a fair bit low

  214. M_a_Bster on February 18, 2016 at 6:15 pm

    Yo deltia,
    im lvl 48
Im a khajiit , should i take bow and 2w and waiting for thief guild or 2h and 2w is better? i personnaly love bow.

i like imperal sewers pvp pve

    • M_a_Bster on February 18, 2016 at 6:16 pm

better stam too? can i go magicka with khajjit?

    • Deltia on February 18, 2016 at 11:09 pm

Both are good, play the style you like.

  215. Austin on February 25, 2016 at 12:23 am

Nice build Deltia this nightblade is so fun to play…. Is their an updated build for theives guild

    • Deltia on February 25, 2016 at 1:58 pm

I will update it with a bow build once I get the gear.

  216. Mark on February 28, 2016 at 2:16 pm

Just a thought, if I have 5 pieces Briar heart 3 if which are jewellery as 5 pieces of twice born star with the 2 mundus of crit and damage do you think it would suit this build

  217. Lill0s on March 1, 2016 at 3:10 am

I love the dual wield but i loved the original one shot willy, is it possible to combine the two to make a high crit bow build that you can switch bars then go in a do lots of damage with the daggers? (My dream build)

    • Deltia on March 1, 2016 at 12:40 pm

Sure, the problem is you’ll be needing to use Weapon Power potions to get your major brutality, but that might change in the next patch.

    • oldbat on March 1, 2016 at 4:22 pm

ooo oooo me, too; me, too 🙂

  218. Mark on March 1, 2016 at 2:27 pm

Do you think the briarheart twice born combo would be a good fit for this build

    • Deltia on March 1, 2016 at 3:39 pm

Not Twice Born, I’d probably go with night Mothers Gaze of it.

  219. Spidijz on March 4, 2016 at 11:35 pm

Hey m8,awesome guide, but as a newbie,i have a question:which dual wield weapons do you use in skill lines 10-…?

  220. AJ on March 17, 2016 at 8:11 am

Shoot! I respec’d just to morph to Dark Cloak and a few other things, and now it’s broken! What do?

  221. Alex on March 19, 2016 at 11:50 am

What gear are you using in new update?

  222. Kulden on March 20, 2016 at 10:46 pm

Hey Deltia, with the changes to bows, do you think they might be viable in PVP again?

  223. Lyrebon on March 25, 2016 at 10:22 pm

Hey Delt, been following your advice for awhile now, both with NB and Templar builds. I’m VR15 currently, gear hasn’t been min/maxed (doing that at VR16) but I’m curious what your stats are, particularly stamina recovery because I find it difficult to self-manage my stam. Easy enough in groups where a Temp can drop Spear Shards but on my own I burn through stamina if I don’t have Siph. Attacks – even with that I find I have to use a few pots in intensive fights, such as solo’ing Craglorn content.

I’m running 5pc Night Mother’s with 4pc Hunding’s Rage, Robust jewellry with 1 stam recovery glyph and 2 weapon damage glyphs. Armor all have VR15 stamina glyphs. Thanks.

    • Deltia on March 27, 2016 at 12:41 pm

Yeah this is more for a coordinated group rather than I solo build. With that you need about 300 stamina recovery more via Morkuldin and Blood Spawn 3/1 setup.

  224. scott on March 28, 2016 at 3:08 pm

still went vampire for pve and it worked out fine made stealth and crits and leeching alot better went for dark elf race for fire resistence

  225. MayorEZ on March 29, 2016 at 9:01 pm

At the top of your page on the 25-50 bar you have the same skill twice on bar one. What is the skill supposed to be? Acid spray and ??

  226. Kendral on April 4, 2016 at 1:44 am

Hey Deltia, are you gonna post the rest of the champion points for the Thieves Guild PvE build?

    • Deltia on April 7, 2016 at 2:45 pm

      Eventually yes.

  227. Ryan on April 4, 2016 at 4:05 pm

Deltia, I run a veteran 1 Khajit Stam NB. For PvP, is vampire still good for a Stam NB? Also, would you prefer DW/TH or TH/Bow? I can’t seem to make up my mind I reset my skills every other time I play. I just a professional opinion to help solidify my choice. Thanks for reading and I appreciate your content 🙂

  228. Brad on April 8, 2016 at 6:49 pm

I played originally during Beta and the first couple months. Have been out of the game since then but recently a few friends asked me to join them. Was looking at tanking/dpsing DK and like the guide presented but I understand many things have changed. I can certainly muddle my own way through but am always interested in hearing experiences of others. Is this guide still a decent outline to get started again, it seems quite good from my little knowledge?

    • Deltia on April 9, 2016 at 3:18 pm

Yeah it’s a good place to start, also check Gill’s post for a high end damage build.

  229. Epic on April 10, 2016 at 6:04 pm

Hey Deltia any chance you could post the Champion Points for the 2.1 pvp build?

  230. Morgis on April 11, 2016 at 7:40 am

I am curious on your thoughts on the Briarheart set out of Orsimium for this build. I would think that with a high crit build this set would rock.

    • Deltia on April 12, 2016 at 1:33 pm

It’s good, I did a video on it. Basically Hunding’s 5/5 Briarheart is good for extra healing.

  231. TacoMan on April 12, 2016 at 5:19 pm

Thanks for all the great info. I’m relatively new to ESO and have frequented your site and vids as I’ve progressed over the past couple of months. I’m currently at lvl VR1 with my Bosmer NB with a focus on bow and 2H. I’ve started allocating CPs and was hoping that you could clarify the allocation of CPs in the red lady/lord section. I didn’t quite understand that part of your Specter guide in regards to how many points you placed in ED and QR.

Also, would you recommend any changes to CP allocations based on more recent testing, updates, etc?

    TacoMan (XB1)

    • Deltia on April 12, 2016 at 6:38 pm

It’s changed a bunch and I’m waiting on Gill’s testing for a new bow build before completely overhauling the build. I want bow to work.

      • TacoMan on April 12, 2016 at 6:47 pm

Me too! I’ve been a fan since Bowazons in Diablo 2. I guess that I’ll just stick with the allocation in your guide and then re-spec as necessary when you release an updated bow build.

        Thanks for the reply.

  232. iAreCosmic on April 14, 2016 at 2:08 pm

I can see what points you put in the mage part of the cp points under the endgame PVE part. I was wondering if you had any tips for the other two?
Great guide too. Hoped I would find a pure bow nightblade build.
Thanks in advanced from a first time veteran.

    • Deltia on April 14, 2016 at 10:44 pm

CP changed drastically since this post, mainly Thumaturge, still working on an update.

  233. Mistle on April 15, 2016 at 1:01 am

Saw this build and thought it looked cool then saw the updated link and the build went from easy to not so easy and that kinda made me sad as a new player. Id imagine this is also not valid anymore?.

    • Deltia on April 15, 2016 at 9:39 pm

It’s valid, I don’t know what you mean by not so easy?

      • Mistle on April 16, 2016 at 6:21 pm

Sorry.. I apparently saw two different things some where in there lol, the build says not the easiest to play figured that a new player would probably NOT want to try this judging by that comment.

        • Deltia on April 16, 2016 at 7:20 pm

Ah, yeah it’s not the easiest since bow doesn’t have self healing associated with it like a typical melee two hander build.

  234. iarao on April 16, 2016 at 5:25 pm

hi deltia. for pve, what traits should be on the nm and hundings rage crafted gear? still divines on all the armor and precise on the bows as it was on the armor/wpns setup bef tg? this set is good for orsinium, too?

tyty for all your help. if only the devs were as helpful by NOT requiring all these changes. was just getting the last setup down. sorta kinda. :/

    • Deltia on April 16, 2016 at 7:20 pm

I go with all divines as crit produces more damage for me than more stamina. Precise or Sharpened on bows is good.

  235. Shamino on April 20, 2016 at 7:19 am

    Hello Deltia!
I play magicka altmer templar and found extremely difficult to accomplish vMA with him (I use 5 Julianos, 3 Torugs, 1 Kena; ~300 CP).
I decided to level up a nightblade. Can u give an advice which nightblade build (mag or stam) is easier for beating vMA?

    • Deltia on April 20, 2016 at 8:03 pm

Umbra hands down, it’s the easiest of all my builds.

  236. Kil'joy on April 26, 2016 at 4:52 pm

Hey Deltia, how much health and how much stamina should I hit at Rank 2 with this build? Thnx

    • Deltia on April 26, 2016 at 5:10 pm

Um I don’t really know, I don’t concern myself with those numbers while leveling. As long as you’re not dying, put everything in stamina.

      • Kil'joy on April 26, 2016 at 6:14 pm

Ok, thnx. How about at Rank 16, how much health should I hit then?

  237. Boshe on May 1, 2016 at 7:31 am

hey deltia , what is the best class for pvp ?According to you

    • Boshe on May 1, 2016 at 7:43 am

      and PVE?

  238. Shin on May 1, 2016 at 8:21 am

hey deltia , what is the best class for pvp and pve ?according to you

  239. SW on May 1, 2016 at 11:00 am

    is this build uptodate?

    • Deltia on May 2, 2016 at 11:58 am

No it’s changed a lot recently in Dark Brotherhood so polishing it up.

  240. Gonnakilluall80 on May 1, 2016 at 12:29 pm

Hey deltia umm what’s the new marksman stam nightblade build I really liked it but don’t know the skills and armour would u be able to put it here for thieves guild or make a vid plz

    • Deltia on May 2, 2016 at 11:59 am

      Yes still testing.

  241. IGD on May 1, 2016 at 3:59 pm

What is the best pvp and pve class for you ?

    • Deltia on May 2, 2016 at 11:59 am

I don’t believe there is one specific “best” class for anything. Comes down to style and preference.

  242. decklar on May 9, 2016 at 6:57 pm

    Hey there Deltia,

Just arrived at lvl 37 using this build Bow (38 now)/2H (34). Just watched your linked youtube video and noticed you mentioned poison and bow are obsolete after 2.2 patch.

Should I stop using bow now and swop to DW?

    • Deltia on May 9, 2016 at 8:37 pm

Should you? Well it’s up to you, what’s more important? DW is way more damage.

  243. Decklar on May 9, 2016 at 8:41 pm

Well that settles that then 🙂

I think having asked that now, had you said bow, I would’ve gone DW anyway.
A bit tired of bow now. Want to get my face smashed.

Thanks for the response and keep up the good work!

  244. Sericus on May 15, 2016 at 12:22 am

Can’t wait for the Dark Brotherhood Updated build for this. Bow is getting buffed and stamina in general! Should be a pretty wicked build.

Hit v16 a few weeks ago, so waiting to craft my v16 gear and weapons until after the 2.4 update. Am I good to craft a hundings set now or will DB have something better?

    • Deltia on May 15, 2016 at 11:01 pm

Hunding’s is good for PvP but PvE probably better to go with Night Mother’s Gaze.

  245. Guts on May 23, 2016 at 2:33 am

Im level 37 and just got my duel wield to level 38. I don’t know if i wanna go bow and duel wield or duel wield and two handed. The bow seems great but i have to level it up and its 25 and my 2 handed is 30

  246. iarao on May 24, 2016 at 8:40 pm

they nerfed stam last big release. evidently bow is now the way to go. my vet is gonna have to level a bow 🙁

  247. Esteban on May 30, 2016 at 10:55 pm

If you don’t have Maelstrom bows, what enchant would be best for dual bows?

  248. Fahrettin Tarhan on June 25, 2016 at 10:28 am

    Hi Deltia

Can you write your Champion Points detailly for Endgame PVE build?
And do you have any advice for bosmer nightblade? i use dual dagger + bow

    • Chris on July 27, 2016 at 5:54 pm

This is also what I’m looking for end game pve with dual bow set up. Champion points in detail please

  249. […] Khajiit […]

  250. hawk 2k4 on July 19, 2016 at 3:04 pm

I was thinking of using this build but with 5 Piece Marksman and 5 Piece Hawkeye. If I was to replace one for hundings which would it be? My characters name will be hawkeye so I hope to use that set lol
Also not sure if kajit or bosmer is best
It will be mostly my pvp character

    • Deltia on July 21, 2016 at 1:19 am

For PvP Marksmen, for PvE Hawkeye.

  251. Aveign on July 25, 2016 at 6:04 pm

Testing this build hoping its still biable. Just hit 50 and the start was good – though not sure how to conrinue. Bow/2h atm but kinda wanba go bow/bow? Suggestions on that? Is the bow/bow section still viable? Any advice on cp? I only see the blue cp distribution, not the red n green? Am i missing something?

    • Chris on July 28, 2016 at 12:18 am

Yeah that’s all I saw I’m trying to rock the 2 bows like it had, but only got the blue one. Hoping for an update on that so we can see the rest of those champion points

  252. Chris on July 27, 2016 at 5:51 pm

I’m using a khajiit nightblade build with the double bow I’m at the “end of pve” where do all my champion points go? Don’t want to be squishy

  253. Mohamed on August 22, 2016 at 8:44 pm

    Hi Deltia,

I wanna use your build but start out with dual wielding instead of 2H – just feels more like my playstyle of an assassin. I’m still new to the game so could use some help figuring out which skills to focus. Just hit level 15.

  254. Jekal on August 23, 2016 at 12:48 pm

I’m new to eso and starting out with a stam nb but I wanna go dual wield instead of 2h – could use some advice on that.

So far, my dual weild bar has Funnel Health, Surprise Attack, Whirlwind, Killer’s blade, and dark cloak with Soul Tether ult
my bow has poison injection and volley (still havent unlocked other bow skills, so the rest are just filling) with veil of blades ult.

I’m not sure if surprise attack works as a spammable to deal damage, or should I just switch over to rapid strikes instead? in which case, should i ditch surprise attack alltogether?

    • Deltia on August 25, 2016 at 6:30 pm

SA is better unless you have VMA Daggers.

      • Chris on August 25, 2016 at 10:30 pm

Deltia was wondering what the champion point set up was for the dual bows you only got one set up could you help out

      • Chris on August 25, 2016 at 10:31 pm

Deltia was wondering what the champion point set up was for the dual bows you only got one set up could you help out in that sense

  255. nero on May 30, 2017 at 5:42 pm

is this build still a viable option? i really want to play a solo bow pve nightblade!

    • Deltia on May 30, 2017 at 5:44 pm

Viable for playing solo? Sure, hardcore end game?

  256. nero on May 30, 2017 at 5:50 pm
