ESO Warden Builds

For those Elder Scrolls Online fans looking for Warden Builds, here’s the list currently being updated by Author Gilliam the Rogue.  Note, we are currently working on updating them all, but just so you have this as a reference point.

    Thanks, Deltia!

  2. Jordan (@ashyam) on May 26, 2017 at 8:17 pm

    Thank you so much!!!

  3. Mart on May 27, 2017 at 10:17 am

I read that you’ve recently made a commitment to spending more time with your family – and to take a step or two back from all the time you’ve been investing in ESO guides and videos. I know most of these gamers will fail to appreciate that commitment, since they’ve never seen it lived out in their own lives. While I’ll miss your advice, KUDOS to you for making the wisest choice with respect to your family! They’re an investment that’ll long outlive all the games. I was pleasantly surprised to find this Warden build 🙂 Thanks again for all your helpful contributions to those of us who would otherwise sort of “guess our way through”. Best success.

Deltia big fan you helped me out from day one I follow all your builds they are the best and you give great advice. Respect for your decision to work on yourself and your family I’m stil will follow you Thank you.

“I know most of these gamers will fail to appreciate that commitment, since they’ve never seen it lived out in their own lives.”

That is a remarkably ignorant generalization to make. You can’t make such an assumption about people you know nothing about. That said, I agree that this is a wise choice. Spending time with your family is the best thing you could possibly do. It’s why I have been away for so long. I have just recently returned, but I plan to limit my time on Elder Scrolls Online.

Deltia, way to go! Thanks for all that you’ve done.

  4. Mamox on May 28, 2017 at 7:28 am

Seems the magica warden build is broken, or just still being worked on? Thanks for the others though!

    • Gilliam on May 28, 2017 at 7:50 am

It’s currently being worked on. Trying to get more information on it and finding a better build, as currently it feels very weak. I want to make sure the build posted is something people can comfortably use in end game without feeling like they’re doing something wrong.

      • sd on May 28, 2017 at 8:54 am

Thanks Gill for all the hard work you put into your builds, videos and advice about the game. I know your time is limited, but have you thought about setting up your own ESO-website so all your work doesn’t get lost under a drop-down menu item on Deltia’s?

        • Gilliam on May 28, 2017 at 9:13 am

I feel at the current state of things it would be a folly to do so. I’m relatively unknown to the community and having to deal with trying to brand myself would mean the audience these guides reach would diminish, and overall the help I’d have to offer would lessen.

It would also be a humongous time sink to do, as I’d have to learn web page editing to a much higher degree that I am currently comfortable with.

          • Mordantos on May 29, 2017 at 3:35 am

That’s fair, but after Deltia”s departure from ESO I stopped coming here- why look at guides from someone who no longer plays?

It wasn’t until I found your Youtube channel that I discovered you were continuing the builds. Indeed, thesee newer builds still have Deltia’s name (“by Deltia”) which make it more confusing.

So while creating your own brand may be time consuming, developing your own ESO identity either on this site or another may be the way to go.

          • Deltia on May 29, 2017 at 10:50 am

I’m giving him a larger audience especially with embed YouTube videos. In exchange for his help to update the sites which I’ve been clearly open about.

  5. Sandy Toes on May 31, 2017 at 12:31 am

You guys are both awesome. Deltia, thank you for promoting long lost honesty, integrity, commitment and values. And thanks Guilliame, for picking up the mantle, and helping all of us that struggle to understand the complexities of ESO. I have learned a lot from both of you. It is very much recognized and appreciated.

  6. joey2shy on May 31, 2017 at 10:18 am

will the beat be magicka or stam damage?

    • joey2shy on May 31, 2017 at 10:19 am

  7. Aaron on May 31, 2017 at 8:25 pm

Are you going to get a magica build out before launch? And can you please state witch one does more damage and or is better for trials

  8. Skyrmir on May 31, 2017 at 8:51 pm

This site is and will remain my favorite gaming site – I agree with Mart about family life, but it is apparent you (Deltia) are careful with your choice of authors/experts to provide content. In several places you have been equally careful to credit individual contributions – maybe this could be regularized through a newspaper-like byline for each article/build, since your own personal input may be reduced in the future.

  9. Samwise on June 5, 2017 at 3:41 pm

    My bad, fitness* ???

  10. Samwise on June 5, 2017 at 7:38 pm

Hmmm… doesn’t post my 1st comment but allows my spelling correction? Truth too much? ??
As I was saying; he decided to quit playing because of changes, not because of any other reason; and to focus on “fitness videos”… alcast is an awesome eso broadcaster/youtuber and has a website with multiple builds etc – you should check him out if you want to stay current ?

  11. jciz75 on June 9, 2017 at 4:34 pm

Thank you for all of the great builds you provide. Also, coming from an man that is married with children, I fully respect your commitment to spend more time with your family!

  12. CJ-Shades on June 11, 2017 at 10:04 pm

Both gill and deltia are great guys and these builds have helped me so much and I’m happy to see deltia getting his life to where he want’s it to be and I wish him the best of luck. At the same time I’m glad to see someone with deltia’s skill is now continuing where he left off so kudos to you gill. Once again thank you both for everything you’ve done, are doing, and what you will do for the entire gaming community. 🙂

  13. JAllan on June 12, 2017 at 9:46 pm

I appreciate all the info and work put into it I do get good tips but I find most builds have sets I cant craft so I find myself being squishy because I only play alone and run crafted sets.

    • Deltia on June 19, 2017 at 12:44 pm

It’s more about the skills you use than the gear sets for survival. Stamina builds can heal themselves with Vigor while magicka builds protect themselves with shields like Harness Magicka.

  14. Cbrophy77 on June 14, 2017 at 12:56 am

Hey so this is my bible as a casual gamer for quick and effective builds. If I insist on going two hander/bow steam build what would your bars ideally look like? Only using brawler from 2 hander so feels like the clear choose is dual wield, but all my other guys are, anyways any suggestions would be sweet

    • Gilliam on June 15, 2017 at 1:04 pm

Swap Steel Tornado to Brawler/Carve, and Blade Cloak into Rally or a flex slot.

  15. Alex Waff on June 17, 2017 at 9:54 am

Could a Warden Leveling guide be expected in the foreseeable future?

    • Gilliam on June 18, 2017 at 5:01 am

Each of the Warden builds (tank, healer, Magicka DPS, Stamina DPS) is compromised of a Leveling guide and end game guide.

  16. Danny on June 21, 2017 at 4:59 pm

trying on my magicka warden right now with 2 Ilambris, 5 Julianos and 4 Moondancer, with no bear ulti and was able to get 27.8k, i’m thinking of running 2 Ilambris, 5 julianos main bar and 5 Moondancer on back bar… that might be able to do the cut for me. other than that, thanks a lot for the guide..

  17. Rhoellan Alts on June 24, 2017 at 3:13 pm

I beta tested ESO and while I had huge expectations, I found it lacking honestly. I tried to like it and couldn’t. Went back to GW2 and life moved on. About a year plus later, I decided to visit ESO again, but this time do some research first. I found your channel and immediately bookmarked your build videos and implemented your very easy to understand suggestions. I found that with your guides, and some changes by the game, that it was in fact the game I had hoped it would be. As a long time gamer (EQ1 launch), your guides are the best I have encountered.

Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you. Also, thank you for sharing your struggles to help others. That should be what it is all about. Either way, I wish you and your family all the best while going through this.

    • Deltia on June 24, 2017 at 7:51 pm

      Thank you very much.

  18. Luke Thomas on June 26, 2017 at 8:17 pm

Can the stam build be used in PvP and pve

  19. DHANKMAN on June 28, 2017 at 8:09 pm

You have taken the greatest step by coming out and stating your issue. This will not only help you, but also others who look up to you. Thank you for your dedication and help over the years I have always found your advice informative and helpful.

Keep going with your changes mate and the rewards will be great for you and your family. Gaming is fun but it is not true life, there are more important things like your son and Wife.

Good luck and best wished for the future!

  20. pixolito on July 2, 2017 at 3:16 pm

Fair play dude for taking the time to sort your life and family life out .You have definately inspired me to live better for not only me but my family .Takes a lot to be real to yourself but putting it out there takes strength I hope it all works out for you.

  21. Swankery on August 24, 2017 at 4:15 am

I second all the emotions. Setting a great example all around for real life and gaming, thanks Deltia! Great combo. Some day you’lll be able to game with your little nugget. (woot! pew-pew!) They are only tiny nuggets for a very short time. You won’t regret this decision, no matter how much flack you get from some of your fans. I hope they too get to get to experience the full effect of killing it at fun things whilst loving life for what it brings. Thanks for all and Cheers! @Swankery.

  22. Xychon on October 14, 2017 at 5:42 pm

Thanks for all the great info Deltia. One thing, for the Magic DPS End Game Gear section, I think you meant Necropotence instead of Necromancer.

  23. Infamous on November 9, 2017 at 12:35 pm

Has anyone tried a hybrid warden eg dark elf stam mag? i dont have pts to test it

  24. Kevin Q on December 4, 2017 at 3:32 am

This is a great guide. Thanks for all who who are parts of the efforts. I understand that the original author has decided to minimise his game time, but kudos when it’s due. At least I come back to ESO and pick up Warden mostly because of this article.

    • Gilliam on December 4, 2017 at 8:06 am

I haven’t minimized my game time 😛 I’ve been busy updating all the guides!

  25. Rock on April 7, 2018 at 2:34 pm

Will you be updating your Warden builds for Summerset DLC?
