These are all the ways you can execute a Weak-Point Smash in Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment:

  • Using Zonai Devices.
  • Spamming enemies with Unique Skills.
  • Perform a successful Flurry Rush.

The Weak-Point Smash technique is where you use different characters to exploit an enemy’s weakness. This is common against larger and more dangerous variants. To perform the move, you must mash the X button on your Joy Con 2 or Nintendo Switch 2 Pro controller.

Zonai Devices

For the first method, you can use Zonai Devices. It is a similar mechanic from The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, but most will require batteries. Once the Hexagon meter is depleted, the enemy will crack, and you can start dealing extra damage. We recommend using offensive Zonai Devices or those with explosive properties. It will speed up the process of exposing their weak points.

Unique Skills and Flurry Rush

There are a handful of playable characters in Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment, and each one has a set of unique skills. These unique skill attacks can deal more damage than base attacks, which can exploit weaknesses and build the meter faster.

Alternatively, you can do a Flurry Rush and use the slow-motion window to build the meter faster. It is tricky to get the dodge timing right, but it is a good tactic to use nonetheless.
