Here’s a walkthrough for the “Collapse” mission in Black Ops 7, where you need to take down a Guild drone to identify the traitor.
“Collapse” in Black Ops 7 is the sixth mission of the main campaign, taking place after the events in the “Disruption” mission. After finally managing to escape from the Kawauso Tower, your VTOL gets intercepted halfway by three Guild drones.
You can take down two, but the last one escapes. Now it’s your job to track it down and check the flight logs to identify the Guild traitor. To do that, you need to find a tablet so Karma can hack into the drone and send it above Alavon, where you can then take it out with a nearby SAM launcher.
To help you out, here’s how you can complete the “Collapse” mission in Black Ops 7.
Black Ops 7 Campaign Mission “Collapse” Objectives
The “Collapse” mission in Black Ops 7 can be divided into three distinct sections. Here are all of them:
- Search the Colosseum
- Locate the Tablet
- Secure the SAM Launcher
Search the Colosseum
After the cutscene and a brief introduction to your objectives, you start in the northeast sector of Avalon, and your first objective is to reach and search the Colosseum. From your starting location, the Colosseum is about 400m away from you, with quite a few structures you can stop at to loot and gear up.
When you take control of your character, head southeast and defeat the enemies at the Service Station to loot around. Once you are done, take any vehicle from the area and keep going southeast towards the Colosseum. However, the entrance to the Colosseum is very well guarded. You can either take a stealthy approach by parking the vehicle far away or go guns blazing by crashing into the Guardians up in front.
Once you enter the Colosseum, go to the inner area and drop down into a hole on the ground directly in front of the stage. Keep in mind that you can stay up and loot if you’re having trouble defeating enemies. You can find some of the abilities useful in the upcoming section, but you don’t need them to finish the mission.
Locate the Tablet
Once you are underground, you have to first navigate through a series of hallways to reach the innermost section. This isn’t an easy task, as every area in the underground is full of enemies ready to intercept you. It is highly recommended that you take time to clear each room before entering the next to avoid feeling overwhelmed, as there are very few places to take cover.
Keep heading southwest till you reach an opening on your right, and enter the large room with a boxing ring in the middle. Entering the room spawns a few enemies that include G-R6 robots and a couple of Raiders. Defeating them marks the location of the tablet, which drops from one of the enemies you defeat. Collect it off the ground and head back to the opening from where you initially dropped down.

Secure the SAM Launcher
When you exit, go out through the front entrance and head north toward the SAM Launcher site. A few guards patrol the area, but you can easily take them out. Afterward, loot the area and then take control of the site by interacting with the SAM Launcher. This triggers a wave defense section as the Guild sends in a large number of enemies via VTOL ships.
There are a total of three waves, and each time, multiple VTOL ships approach from different directions to drop off enemies. If you have any type of explosives, you can blow up the VTOLs before they can drop, which reduces the number of enemies you have to fight. You can also occasionally get airdrops that contain good loot and ammo.
Your goal is to survive the enemy waves until they stop coming, allowing you to move around the area to find better cover since you don’t need to protect the SAM Launcher. It’s recommended that you stay close to your mission partner, as they can provide significant cover fire to help you escape if you’re caught off guard. Once you finish, interact with the SAM Launcher one last time to end the “Collapse” mission in Black Ops 7. This triggers a cutscene and starts the “Fracture” mission.
