Vindictus: Defying Fate is a new action RPG being released by Nexon. It is set in the same universe as Vindictus, which is itself the prequel to Mabinogi. Vindictus is well known for its excellent combat, and Defying Fate seems to have upped the ante even further.

So far, four characters have been confirmed for Defying Fate. All four of these characters are returning characters from the original Vindictus. Here is everything we know so far about the characters in Vindictus: Defying Fate demo.

Lann

Lann was one of the first playable characters in the first Vindictus. In that game, he was an agile warrior who dual-wielded swords and had fast and flashy moves. His role has not changed in Defying Fate, and he has not slowed down a bit.

Lann is a character who is fully focused on offense, having no means of guarding against attacks. Instead, he has a double dodge, which allows him to weave in and out of battle instantly.

Fiona

Fiona is also one of the first characters from the original Vindictus. Compared to Lann, she is a more balanced character, wielding both a sword and a shield.

She can use her shield to block enemy attacks, and can retaliate with counterattacks. However, it would be remiss to call her a defensive character. She has many offensive options, and her guarding acts as an additional tool to avoid damage while dishing it out.

Karok

The half-giant Karok is another returning character from Vindictus. Karok foregoes wielding traditional weapons. Instead, he makes full use of his titanic strength and swings around a pillar to obliterate his foes.

Karok supplements the mighty swings of his pillars with his own limbs, similarly to the original game. He delivers literally earthshattering blows and kicks that destroy any lesser opponent in his way. His playstyle is defined by his strength, resilience and sheer power.

Delia

Delia is the fourth and final character that has been announced for Defying Fate so far. She wields an enormous bastard sword that belies her appearance and uses it with terrifying efficacy.

Despite her weapon being larger than she is, she swings it surprisingly fast. Additionally, she can charge her blows to enhance their power and can parry enemy blows with her weapon as well. All-in-all, Delia takes charge of the battlefield with grace, power, and a really big sword.
