The Right Tool Quest in Arc Raiders will have you running around the map hunting down ARC machines during raids. The three ARCs, Hornet, Turret and Fireball are common enemies scanning for raiders in any map. We recommend hunting them in Dam Battlegrounds, as the map is fairly open and spawn RNG usually drops you near ARC machines. Here’s a complete guide on this quest.
The Right Tool Quest Walkthrough in Arc Raiders
To begin The Right Tool quest, you’ll need to talk with Tian Wen, the gun shop trader. She tells you to hunt down and destroy a Turret, Hornet, and Fireball. You can do this in multiple raids, and on any map.
The recommended map for this quest is Dam Battlegrounds. Inside the Dam Battlegrounds, Water Treatment and Research, and Administration are the best locations to find the required ARCs to complete the quest.
You can face a high number of players in Research and Administration, so if you have good loot, we recommend running down to Water Treatment for a safer alternative.
The Hornet is one of the first enemies you meet in the game. A flying ARC that shoots down any raider on sight, the Hornet’s rotors can be shot down to burst it into flames. You can find the Hornet flying almost everywhere. If you’re struggling to find one, you can always use the ping function to check whether an ARC is a Hornet or not.
The Turret spawns inside buildings and entrances, usually research buildings and resource-rich areas. It’s a static mob that scans its surroundings and shoots from afar. You can take it down from a cover.
Fireballs generally spawn in buildings and chase you down while shooting flames at your face. You can shoot it down with a Ferro IV or a similar rifle with minimal damage to yourself. They are white ball robots that scout around the floors of buildings.
The Right Tool Quest Rewards
The Right Tool Quest is an early quest in Arc Raiders that helps players with a bit of XP and a few rewards. Along with the much-needed XP, you also get the Cheer Emote, a Stitcher II handgun gun and an extended magazine. The Stitcher II is a decent early-game weapon for shooting down close-range ARCs at their weak points.
