This Black Ops 7 Zombies guide will go over the Ashes of the Damned main quest, and will help you complete all objectives.
Ashes of the Damned is a Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Zombies quest that picks up the story right after the events of the Zombies mode in Black Ops 6. You’re thrown into a massive map, and you’re then given a ton of objectives to complete. With zombies relentlessly on your tail and the map confusingly large, the process of completing this quest can be frustrating. If you’re having trouble navigating this map or simply need help going through the objectives, our guide is here to walk you through the quest.

Ashes of the Damned Black Ops 7 Zombies Walkthrough
Investigate the Server Room
Ashes of the Damned kicks off with the goal to investigate the server room. The server room is right up ahead, marked with the yellow objective marker. There are zombies around you, and you must kill them with your pistol to acquire Essence. You need 1250 Essence to open the server room door.

Install T.E.D.D.’s Head onto Ol’ Tessie
Head inside the server room and you’ll spot a grate to your right. Walk up to the grate and melee it to acquire T.E.D.D’s Head Intel artifact. Your goal now is to install this artifact into Ol’ Tessie, the monster truck. Head outside the door and you’ll find Ol’ Tessie parked right outside. Walk up to it and you’ll get the prompt to install the artifact.
Now that Ol’ Tessie is up and running again, you have to use her to break through the wooden barriers. Enter the vehicle and start driving. Take a left from the roundabout and head straight to the barrier. Ram the vehicle through the barrier to unlock the path, and then drive to Blackwater Lake.
Get the Water Pump Working
As you drive down the road, you’ll reach the cabins by Blackwater Lake. Your goal now is to clear the infestation off the water pump. You have to shoot the infestation and deplete its HP within 30 seconds. You can’t do this with just your pistol, so you need to find a better weapon. Head west and you’ll spot a Mystery Box that you can open for 950 Essence. Use this box to acquire a new weapon.
Use the new weapon to shoot the infestation. Focus on the glowing parts to deplete larger chunks of the HP. Destroy the infestation to progress.
With the infestation out of the way, you can now get the pump working. For this, you need to flip the power switch to turn on the power. Enter the cabin opposite the pump, and you’ll find the switch on the second floor of this building. This will complete your objective, and you then have to drive Ol’ Tessie to Ashwood.

Get the Power Pump Working
Following the objective marker will lead you to Ashwood. This area is derelict and the lights have been long off. You have to restore power, and for that, you need to locate the power pump.
Take the lift by the cliff to head to the Market Square. Head to the first building to your right, and enter it by paying 1000 Essence. Cut straight through the main hall and take the exit in front of you. This will bring you to another blocked path in Judgement Square, which you can unlock by paying 1750 Essence. Unlocking this path will lead you to the power pump.
The power pump, too, has been taken over by the infestation. Destroy the infestation by shooting at it. Once again, you’ll only have 30 seconds to destroy it all, or else the infestation will regrow. Aim at the glowing red parts to successfully clear the pump of the infestation. If you don’t have ammo, there’s an ammo cache right beside the pump. Once the infestation is cleared, head up the stairs to reach the power switch. Flip the power switch to get the pump running.
Head back to Ol’ Tessie and drive her into the garage. Inside the garage, you’ll find the Pack-A-Punch upgrade station. Interact with this station to install an upgrade for Ol’ Tessie.
