When you first enter Ashes of the Damn and explore the map, you will discover a pickup truck named Ol’ Tessie. This is one of your lifelines when you need to traverse through the Fog to access most points of interest. Not only that, but it will also act as a portable Pack-a-Punch for access at any time. However, you will first need to repair it, for which a certain number of conditions must be fulfilled.

In this article, we will look at how to upgrade the Ol’ Tessie in Call of Duty Black Ops 7.

The mean old machine, Ol’ Tessie, is ready to eat away at any zombie in its path. While a force to reckon with in her own right, you can further upgrade her to unleash her full potential. The steps will require you to go a bit out of the way, but the results are worth the effort.

To upgrade Ol’ Tessie in Black Ops 7, you will need to unlock the garage and install different items on the vehicle. Let us take a look at each of these and where you can find them.

  1. T.E.D.D.’s Head is the first installment you will find when you spawn into the map. First, take out anywhere between 10 and 15 zombies.
  2. Once you collect 1,250 coins, head to the Server Room in the Janus Towers Plaza and unlock the door.
  3. On the floor, you will find a circular grate. Use your melee attacks, directed at it, to break it open.
  4. Once it breaks, T.E.D.D.’s Head will appear on the ground, available for pickup.
  5. Interact to pick it up and take it to Ol’ Tessie to add the first upgrade.

Once this step is done, you will get to drive the vehicle around and reach the different locations on the map.

Restore Power to the Power Pump

  1. Once you reach the farm, hop out of the car and enter through the fence.
  2. To the right, you will see the ‘Power Pump’ infested with a type of fungus.
  3. Shoot at it to clear it all off. Once you do that, a final big blob of fungus will generate at the top of the pump. You will need to complete all of this within the 30-second timer.
  4. Once you do that, it will send out a pulse, killing off any zombie in the area, unlocking the power switch.
  5. Head to the top of the barn and toggle on the power switch

Pack-a-Punch Machine

  1. Drive your vehicle up to Ashwood. Here, you will find the garage. The doors to the garage will be unlocked because you activated the power pump.
  2. Inside, you will find a zipline that will take you to the top. Once up here, take a right through the broken wall and then a left to descend the stairs.
  3. To the right is a door you can unlock. Now take a left, followed by another left through the alleyway. Spend 1,750 coins to unlock the door and proceed toward the Power Pump machine in the center.
  4. Follow the same steps and clear out the infestation to get access to the power switch in the area. This will be on top of a platform in the main yard, overlooking the Power Pump. This will open the door to the Blacksmith Garage.
  5. Head back to Ol’ Tessie and drive your car inside it. Now go to the Vehicle Upgrade Station inside and install the Pack-a-Punch machine. Your vehicle will also auto-repair once inside the station.

From here, you will get access to all vehicle upgrades, including the Wunderwaffle DG-2 Turret and the Abomination Heads for extra speed. The Wunderwaffle Turret is one of the many easter eggs in Black Ops 7, alongside others like Zombie Plant, which will require you to complete a series of steps to unlock.
