The Bethesda Studios annual convention QuakeCon is just around the corner! The event will be virtual this year, with lots of streams and trailers and reveals to keep their gaming fans on the edge of their seats. ESO at QuakeCon 2022 will have a strong presence this year, with a Free Play event running all week and lots of special streams and drops planned!

Gather your gear and prepare for adventure, because you can begin your journey in The Elder Scrolls Online right now, FOR FREE! The Elder Scrolls Online QuakeCon 2022 Free Play Event is now live and runs until Monday, August 29. During the Free Play Event period, users on PC/Mac (Steam not included), Xbox consoles (Xbox Live Gold required), PlayStation* consoles, and Stadia can download and play ESO at no cost.
You can answer the call to adventure and join millions of other players by visiting our Free Play page and selecting your platform. This event will give you access to the ESO base game, which includes four classes to master, 24 story zones to explore (including Vvardenfell), Battlegrounds and Alliance War PvP, and more.
Even better, because the Free Play Event grants you access to the base game, you can play the High Isle Prologue questline and begin your Legacy of the Bretons year-long adventure—setting the scene for the events of The Elder Scrolls Online: High Isle and beyond.
If you’ve already played ESO during a previous event, you can continue your adventures as normal. Additionally, all new ESO accounts created also receive 500 crowns to spend in the in-game Crown Store.
