In this guide you will find information on any patch-related changes, the class, skills, champion points, gear options, tips, and more! Should you play this build?
Necromancer Pros and Cons
Necromancer’s have one of the strongest passives and active skill sets in the game. This is because they have the most sought after PvE ultimate, Colossus and a super massive burst heal. Combine these powerful class buffs with a restoration staff and destruction staff and make a top end healer. For this build, buffs and rotations takes some practice because you will constantly have to reply buffs and debuffs in between burst healing low HP allies. However, if you want to add some serious group utility this is the healer to do it!

Skills
For the ESO Necromancer Healer PvE build The Bone Doctor, build the following skills are recommended, although feel free to play around with it and make it comfortable for your play style
Bar One Restoration Staff for healing and buffs
Illustrious Healing (morph of Grand Healing | Weapon/Restoration Staff skill line): An AOE heal over time that gives you and allies standing in the area a heal and also a heal over time for 12 seconds
Radiating Regeneration (morph of Regeneration | Weapon/Restoration Staff skill line): great heal over time that procs various gear sets. Consider this a must to keep at all times.
Combat Prayer (morph of Blessing of Protection | Weapon/Restoration Staff skill line): a strong AoE heal that adds minor berserk increasing damage and minor resolve increasing resistances
Energy Orb (morph of Necrotic Orb | Guild/Undaunted skill line): great AoE healing and synergy resource sustain.
Blood Sacrifice (morph of Render Flesh | Necromancer/Living Death skill line): an insane burst heal though you have to aim it but 28 meters by 12 it’s very good.
Renewing Animation (morph of Reanimate | Necromancer/Living Death skill line): an AoE resurrection that can save your team from being wiped.
- [flex] Life Giver (morph of Panacea | Weapon/Resurrection skill line): mobile burst heal that can be used in a pinch.
Necrotic Potency (morph of Bitter Harvest | Necromancer/Bone Tyrant skill line): free heal with massive ultimate regeneration, but consider this your flex spot.
- Agony Totem (morph of Bone Totem | Necromancer/Bone Tyrant): flex in for single target fights or bosses without many mobs for increased damage and survivability.
Spirit Guardian (morph of Spirit Mender | Necromancer/Living Death): heal that gives boost to our passives sustain and create corpses.
Harness Magicka: A shield that absorbs damage for 6 seconds and helps you restore magicka when you take damage. If you’re already comfortable with the content and don’t need a shield, illustrious healing will be a good replacement
- Elemental Drain (morph of Weakness to Elements | Weapon/Destruction Staff skill line): applied free of cost for minor magicka steal increasing group sustain.
Unnerving Boneyard (morph of Boneyard | Necromancer/Grave Lord skill line): frost damage with major breach plus a great synergy for the party.
Elemental Blockade (morph of Wall of Elements | Weapon/Destruction skill line): damage AoE but more important status effect and weapon enchant producing making it ideal to use Lighting or Frost.
Glacial Colossus (morph of Frozen Colossus | Necromancer/Grave Lord skill line): an absolutely insane burst ultimate that will be extended with our back bar five piece gear set.

Symphony of Blades: Found in veteran Depths of Malatar dungeon
- (1 item) Adds 4% Healing Done
- (2 items) When you heal an ally who is under 50% of their primary resource, grant them Meridia’s Favor, which restores 570 Magicka or Stamina every 1 second for 6 seconds. This effect can occur every 18 seconds per target. The resource returned is based off the target’s highest maximum resource.
Main Five Piece Options
Option 1: great for trials and stationary fights
Perfect Vestment of Olorime: Found in Cloudrest Veteran trial (or normal for lesser version)
- (2 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
- (3 items) Gain Minor Aegis at all times, reducing your damage taken from Dungeon, Trial, and Arena Monsters by 5%.
- (4 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
- (5 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka, Casting abilities that leave an effect on the ground in combat will create a circle of might for 5 seconds. You and your group members standing in the circle gain Major Courage for 20 seconds, increasing your Weapon Damage and Spell Damage by 430. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds.
Option 2: mobile ideal for dungeons with high mobility
Spell Power Cure: Found in White Gold Tower dungeon
- (2 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
- (3 items) Adds 1096 Maximum Magicka
- (4 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage
- (5 items) When you overheal yourself or an ally, you give the target Major Courage for 5 seconds which increases their Weapon Damage and Spell Damage by 430
Option 3: ideal when running with another heal who is providing Major Courage
Jorvuld’s Guidance: Found in Scalecaller Peaker
- (2 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
- (3 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery
- (4 items) Adds 4% Healing Done
- (5 items) While in combat, increases the duration of all Major buffs, Minor buffs, and damage shields you apply to yourself and allies by 40%.
Perfected Grand Rejuvenation: found in Veteran Dragonstar Arena
- (2 items) Adds 877 Maximum Magicka, The initial heal of Grand Healing invigorates you and group members affected for 4 seconds, restoring 117 Magicka and Stamina every 1 second.

Argonian: the top choice for all around healing, sustain and looks cool!

Consumables
Food:
- Clockwork Citrus Filet, Witchmother’s Brew, or Artaeum Pickled Fish Bowl
- Clockwork Citrus Filet: Increase Max Health by 3724, Health Recovery by 351, Max Magicka by 3458 and Magicka Recovery by 319 for 2 hours. (5 second cooldown)
- Witchmother’s Brew: Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours. These effects are scaled based on your level.
- Artaeum Pickled Fish Bowl: Increase Max Health by 5652 and Max Magicka by 5117 for 2 hours. These effects are scaled based on your level. Additionally, fish may be drawn to you.
Potions:
- Essence of Spell Power or Tri-Pots
- Tri-pots: = Restores health, magicka, and stamina and increases recovery of all three
- Essence of Spell Power: Grants Major Sorcery which increases your Spell Damage by 20%
Mundus Stone
- Ritual: Increases healing effectiveness by 8 % (great for beginners or healing-intensive trials)
- Thief: Increases the Critical Strike rating by 1333 (generally a great choice for most situations)
- Mage/Apprentice: Increases Maximum Magicka by 2023 (great if you are an RO/Jorvulds trials off healer)
Attribute Points
Reach at least 22,000 health (24,000 to be safe) then the rest into magicka. Mine is 64 points into magicka with my gear setup.
