The world of Fantasy Life i The Girl Who Steals Time is massive, filled with secrets around every corner. You go from town to town, finding special enemies, secret items, and indulging in Life Challenges.

The game also features a surprising level of verticality. There are tons of ledges leading you uphill all around the map. There are also walls for you to scale. Climbing over these walls and ledges helps you access new areas and discover more secrets. If you wish to see all that the game has to offer, you must climb as many of these as you can.

The problem with climbing, however, is that the game does not tell you how to do it. You’re briefly introduced to it early on, but with the frantic pace of the time-traveling story, you’re bound to forget. Furthermore, the game is very inconsistent with what terrain it lets you climb. The whole thing can get a little confusing, but we’re here to walk you through it. In this guide, we shall go over how to climb in Fantasy Life i The Girl Who Steals Time.

As stated earlier, Fantasy Life i The Girl Who Steals Time allows you to engage vertically with its map by climbing surfaces. Climbing any surface in the game is a fairly simple task. Approach any of the walls or ledges, and you can jump to climb.

You jump by pressing the X button on PlayStation, the A button on Xbox, and the Spacebar on PC. Your character will then grab onto the surface. If you keep pressing the button, the character will continue climbing until they reach the top. If you press ‘S’ on PC or the left stick down on consoles, your character will let go and drop back down.

The game is a bit inconsistent with what it does and does not let you climb. There are no telltale signs of the surfaces you can scale. The only way to find out if you can is to head over to the surface and check for the “Climb” prompt.
