The Crysknife is an iconic weapon in the world of Arrakis and an important symbol ingrained into the Fremen culture. It is quite possible to get this weapon in Funcom’s latest survival MMO, Dune Awakening. If you are familiar with the books or the movies based on Frank Herbert’s novel, then you would know that a Crysknife is made out of a Shai-Hulud, aka a Sandworm’s tooth. These creatures are sacred and revered by the Fremen, so a weapon fashioned from them is almost holistic.

So, if you want to craft an Unfixed Crysknife in Dune Awakening, follow this guide to learn how to get a Sandworm Tooth in the game.

How To Obtain a Sandworm Tooth in Dune Awakening

Dune Awakening has many different materials and resources that you can farm and gather. However, the Sandworm Tooth is not one of them since there is no way of farming them in the game. This is quite accurate to Dune’s lore since a normal human cannot tame a Sandworm. So, that leaves us with a question: how do we get the item we are after?

Well, to get a Sandworm Tooth in Dune Awakening, you will have to get devoured by a Sandworm. Yes, it is the only way. However, before you attempt such a stunt, remember that every time a Sandworm eats you, you lose everything in your inventory, and there’s no way of getting your lost items back. In addition to that, if you are in a vehicle or if one is nearby while the Sandworm attacks, it will get completely destroyed and remain that way.

After that, when your character gets respawned, you will only have the Sandworm Tooth in your inventory. Thus, we recommend leaving any important gear, vehicle, and resources behind before you try to get eaten by a Shai-Hulud. Once you have done so, you can travel to the Vermillius Gap since the Drumsands there provide the best chances of attracting a Sandworm.

Furthermore, a Sandworm Tooth is a bound item. Which means you cannot drop it, place it in an inventory, or get more than one at a time. If you have this item on you and a Sandworm kills you, the tooth you have will be replaced by a new one. Moreover, if you lack inventory space, you can destroy the Worm Tooth yourself by using the drop key.

Craft an Unfixed Crysknife in Dune Awakening

To unlock the schematics for an Unfixed Crysknife in Dune Awakening, first you will have to complete the Fourth Trial of Aql. After that, you will be able to craft the item with 1x Worm Tooth and 1x Plant Fiber.

Similar to the Sandworm Tooth, the Unfixed Crysknife is also a bound item. So, you cannot have more than one. Furthermore, unlike its novel counterpart, the Crysknife available in Dune Awakening right now is not a complete one. Therefore, it is almost useless in combat and breaks after one hit.
