Steps to Use Easy Face Maker in Throne and Liberty
These are the steps that you should follow to use the Easy Face Maker in Throne and Liberty:
- Create a new character or head to the Mirror Boutique.
- Select the Easy Face Maker option to upload your photo or scan a QR code.
- Make any changes to the character created by the game.
Here is a detailed explanation of each of the steps:
Step 1: Create a New Character
You can either create a new character at the start of the game, or you can use the Mirror Boutique to change your appearance. You can access this option from the Character Info section on your menu. From here, head to the appearance tab to look at all your options.
Step 2: Select the Easy Face Maker Option
From the menu that you see, go to the Easy Face Maker option. You have two choices here:
- Browse your files to upload a photo.
- Scan a QR Code.
You will see a big button named “My Files”, and clicking it will allow you to browse your system and upload a photo.
(Optional) Step 3: Fine-Tune Your Character
You will be able to fine-tune your character after the system has generated a character based on your photo. Once done, confirm all the changes, and with that, you have successfully completed all the steps.

"File Browser cannot be opened from within the game to upload images while using the Share Appearance or Easy Face Maker options during character customization. The QR Code options can be used in the interim."
Currently, the Easy Face Maker function is not working as intended. NCSOFT has already acknowledged that the My Files feature is not working correctly as intended, and is probably working on a fix for that.
The QR Code, on the other hand, is a hit-or-a-miss feature right now. It might throw a myriad of errors like “Face not detected”, or simply a “403 Forbidden Error” in many cases. NCSOFT suggests using images in 1:1 dimension for the QR Code function to work properly, however, this too has caused errors for many.
Since the developers are already aware of the issue, it is likely going to be solved soon, and you will be able to use this feature to its full potential.
