This Inazuma Eleven Victory Road guide will go over how to unlock, set, and use the Keyman Lockdown tactic in Chapter 3 of the game.
The Keyman Lockdown is a special tactic you have to set and use in Chapter 3 of Inazuma Eleven Victory Road. After Tukomori pits you up against the Baseball club in the story, you then play through the chapter and work your way to the story progression match. Before you can commit to this match, however, you have to pass through the Special Training Phase.
The Special Training Phase has a condition to set Keyman Lockdown in your Team Dock’s Tactics. While the game tells you what to do, it doesn’t tell you how to do it. This can lead to a lot of confusion, but we’re here to clear it out for you.

How To Unlock Keyman Lockdown in Inazuma Eleven Victory Road
You unlock Keyman Lockdown by purchasing it at Friendly Match – By the Football Club Room. Follow the steps below to do so:
- As soon as the match at the beach is over and you kick into Special Training Phase, you’ll spawn at the school. Turn to your right and you’ll find this match.
- Interact with the silhouette, and you’ll open a menu.
- Select the Special Training Booth in this menu, and then cycle through the tabs to reach the Tactics tab.
- You’ll find the Keyman Lockdown here, and can purchase it for 3x Zeal Tokens.
How To Set and Use Keyman Lockdown in Inazuma Eleven Victory Road
Setting Keyman Lockdown
Once you have the Keyman Lockdown, you can set it by following the steps below:
- Open the pause menu and navigate to Team Dock. This is the first tab on the left.
- Go to the Tactics section in the Team Docks. You’ll find three slots here.
- Click on any empty slot, and you’ll then be able to place Keyman Lockdown here. This will set Keyman Lockdown for you.
Using Keyman Lockdown
Once you’ve set the tactic, you then have to begin the Duel with the Baseball Club. As you kick off this match and try to shoot, Yagyu will dominate and score a goal against you. He’s too difficult to handle, and you’ll need to use Keyman Lockdown to shut him out for good. To use this tactic, hold LB to display tactics, and then press the corresponding button for Keyman Lockdown to use it. If you’re on PC, you can do the same by pressing Tab. Use Keyman Lockdown to tie down Yagyu and beat the club once and for all.
