Fishing
Let’s start with the easiest method—Fishing. Saddles can be obtained by fishing as a treasure item. Despite being an easy method, the odds are very low, with only a 0.8% chance of getting a saddle through fishing. However, you can increase the chances by using fishing rod enchantments such as ‘Luck of the Sea’. So, if you’re looking for a peaceful and relaxing way to obtain a saddle, grab your fishing rod and swing it over the water several times.
Looting Chests
The next possible method to get Saddle in Minecraft is looting various chests scattered throughout the world. The probability of getting a Saddle varies for every chest. Nether Fortress, Dungeon, and Desert Temple chests are the most recommended to search, as they offer a better chance of finding a Saddle as loot. Mob Drops

Trading with Master Leatherworker
Another guaranteed method to get Saddle in Minecraft is by trading with Leatherworker NPC. You can trade with a Leatherworker with a ‘Master” status to get the Saddle. Master Leatherworkers exchange emeralds for Saddle. So if you have plenty of emeralds, you can able to get unlimited Saddle using this method. Placing a cauldron before the non-employed villager can turn them into a Leatherworker.
How to Use Saddle in Minecraft
As mentioned above, Saddles are used to ride and control animals in Minecraft. You can use saddles on camels, horses, skeleton horses, donkeys, and mules. To use a saddle on them, you need to tame them before. Hop on them multiple times until they allow you to ride. Once you are on top, place a saddle in their inventory. That’s it, you can now ride these animals to explore the world.
You can also get back the saddle from their inventory. Additionally, you can also ride pigs and striders by equipping them with a saddle. However, you need a carrot (Pig) and warped fungus (Strider) attached to a stick to control their direction.
