Abomasnow can become a beast in Pokemon Legends Z-A with well-rounded stats, combined with the best moveset and nature.
Although Abomasnow might not be a great Pokemon in the traditional mainline games, this is not the case in Legends Z-A. Having a low Speed is not as much of a demerit in this game, compared to the others. This enhances its utility, especially when its high defensive stats combine with its great offensive ones.

Best Abomasnow Build in Pokemon Legends Z-A
The build below will be the best one you should follow for using Abomasnow for endgame and competitive content:

Best Abomasnow Moveset in Pokemon Legends Z-A
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain

Blizzard is one of the strongest Ice-type moves in the game. Given Abomasnow’s high Special Attack, it is no surprise that this move will be great for this Pokemon. You can combine this move with Ice Beam to ensure that you can spam Ice-type moves without suffering from the cooldown.
Since this build is focusing on Abomasnow’s Special Attack, the Grass-type move you should use is Giga Drain. This will let you heal back some health and prolong the match. Moreover, Abomasnow’s high Defense and Special Defense stats further enhance this move’s utility.
Earth Power is one of the few Ground-type moves that Abomasnow can learn. You should use this to hit any Steel or Fire-type Pokemon you may encounter.
Best Abomasnow Nature in Pokemon Legends Z-A
There are multiple natures you can choose from. However, you should use a Nature Mint to get the best possible advantage:
- Modest (+SpA/-Atk)
- Calm (+SpD/-Atk)
Modest would undoubtedly be the most useful Nature for Abomasnow. It would let it deal even more damage, on top of its already high Special Attack stat. However, one of Abomasnow’s main weaknesses is its four times weakness to Fire-type moves.
Given that the most powerful Fire moves within the game (Flamethrower, Heat Wave, and Fire Blast) are all Special, increasing its Special Defense is a sound strategy. It would likely let you survive an otherwise fatal move.
Abomasnow Stats and Location
You will need to catch a Snover and level it up to level 40 to evolve it into Abomasnow. You can find a Snover in Wild Zone 12. Alternatively, the same area will also spawn an Alpha Abomasnow as well. You can take your pick from these.

- Attack: 92
- Defense: 75
- Special Attack: 92
- Special Defense: 85
- Speed: 60
Mega Abomasnow’s stats are as follows:
- HP: 90
- Attack: 132
