Although Sableye doesn’t have the best stats in Pokemon Legends Z-A, you can still get some use out of it via the best moveset and nature.

Sableye suffers immensely due to a multitude of reasons in Pokemon Legends Z-A. The first two are the loss of its abilities in base form and Mega Evolution. Prankster and Magice Bounce are immensely powerful abilities that are some of the main reasons why Sableye saw use competitively. However, since the removal of abilities, Sableye has been significantly nerfed.

However, you can still use the best moveset and nature mentioned in this build guide to use it with some success.

Best Sableye Moveset in Pokemon Legends Z-A

• Curse
• Recover
• Will-o-Wisp
• Knock Off

Sableye’s offensive stats are quite lacking. Therefore, this moveset is going to indirectly try to deal damage to your enemies through a variety of moves.

Starting from the bottom of the list, Knock Off is helpful if you want to deal with any other non-Mega Evolved Pokemon. These Pokemon will likely always be holding some Held Item to make them work better. Knock Off will remove this item from them and force them to continue without it.

Next up, Will-o-Wisp is a Burn-afflicting move, which moves quite slowly. You will need to get close to the enemy and time this move correctly to afflict the status condition.

Recover will help Sableye stay in battle for longer, and this pairs especially well with its last move on the list, Curse. Curse will deplete half your health and place a health-draining curse on the target. You can also use Recover to heal up after performing Curse to get rid of the penalty.

Best Sableye Nature in Pokemon Legends Z-A

There are a bunch of Natures you can choose from. The best way to get this Nature would be to use a Nature Mint for one of the following ones:

• Calm (+Sp.D/-Atk)
• Bold (+Def/-Atk)

Since none of the moves mentioned above actually deal damage, you should have no use for Attack or Special Attack. Instead, your priority should be to keep Sableye alive in battle.

Calm and Bold natures are the best natures in this aspect. One will increase your Special Defense, while the other increases your Defense.

Sableye Stats and Location

This Pokemon does not evolve from any other Pokemon. It does not have any further evolutions as well (excluding Mega Evolutions). You can catch a Sableye in Wild Zone 9, or as early as Main Mission 5, during the Sableye in the Cemetery Side Mission. The stats for Sableye are:

• HP: 50
• Attack: 75
• Defense: 75
• Special Attack: 65
• Special Defense: 65
• Speed: 50

Mega Sableye’s stats are as follows:

• HP: 50
• Attack: 85
• Defense: 125
• Special Attack: 85
• Special Defense: 115
• Speed: 20
