REPO: Oogly Guide

This REPO guide will go over how to deal with Oogly, a flying monster added to the game in the latest patch.

If you hadn’t played REPO for a while and are now jumping in for its latest update, you’ll find a ton of new horrifying faces, such as that of Oogly. There’s really no solid way to describe Oogly. Oogly is a strange monster that flies around in the air, and if it detects you, it picks you up and manhandles you in mid-air. 

The monster seems strong enough, but what makes Oogly really difficult to deal with is that he flies incredibly high up. There’s no easy way to deal with him, making him an annoyance that persists through your run. If you’re having trouble dealing with Oogly and need help beating him, our guide is for you.

How Oogly Works in REPO

Oogly is a monster that flies high up in the air and has ropes/strings hanging down below him. These ropes act as a player detector. If you stay under the ropes for too long, Oogly will detect you and then crash down on you. The monster will then pull you back into the air and will pretty much manhandle you, dealing roughly 4 damage per second. 

There’s no way to move once the monster grabs you, and you’re at its mercy till it decides to drop you. What makes this extra dangerous are the pits all over the map. If Oogly grabs you near a pit, there’s a non-zero chance that he drops you right into the pit.

How To Deal With Oogly in REPO 

Now that you know how dangerous Oogly is once he grabs you, you can deal with him by simply not letting him grab you. When you’re under Oogly and he detects you, you have a short window to grab him first and stun him. You can also use a weapon, but you have to time your attack to land before Oogly grabs you. This is the only way to deal with this monster. 

The other way to deal with the monster is to simply avoid him. Oogly’s area of detection is fairly small, and even if you’re in the area, he takes a good few seconds to fully detect you. If Oogly is flying over some place you need to pass through, you’ll be safe as long as you don’t linger too long beneath him. Run past Oogly and avoid his grabs to stay safe and beat the monster.
