Stamina Sorcerer is back!

Hey gang,

 

Quick post on the new stamina Sorcerer and what I’ll be doing in the future as far as builds.

Priority

stambo rambo

 

PVE

  1. Finish Imperial Stamina Templar Harvester
  2. Work on updating Bloody Butcher
  3. Start redoing Ricochet stamina Sorcerer as I level
    1. At this point all stamina builds/classes should be caught up and playable in Update 7.
  4. Start rotating through magicka builds
    1. Omega
    2. Laceration
    3. Ignition
    4. Umbra

PVP (priority number two) as I’m mainly focused on PvE/solo/Imperial City builds

  1. Nightblade Stamina Specter PvP verison
  2. Templar Stamina Harvester PvP verison
  3. Dragonknight Bloody Butcher PvP verison
    1. than rotate through magicka UNTIL stamina sorcerer gets figured out.

I’m only one man so it takes me a very long time to level, optimize my characters and test.  I’d rather take two weeks getting something right than posting a sloppy build.  So, yes I’ll be working on whatever your favorite build is in update 7!

    AWESOME!!! Personally looking forward to laceration… I know you spend a ton of time creating, testing, and posting these builds… nice to have a full time job playing games! Your builds are head and shoulders above all others and free for us to learn from and use… THANKS!!!!!

    YES Go Redguard Sorc Power! I was feeling pretty useless with my magicka redguard sorcerer but I am glad I stuck with it, already have dual wield ready to go. YippieKaiKaOooo!

    So ready for the updated butcher, and pvp version, that’s awesome. I just wanna be able to keep up my dps with my friends in other classes in trials. Keep up the great work bro.

    I have had a very simular build for a long time and have enjoy Thundering Presence for a while as a stam sorc now things are going to be even better 🙂 can’t wait to finish leveling my stam sorc now 🙂 WOOT thanks for showing this off. All the forums have been crying about how aweful stam sorcs are with the last patch to PTS glad to see you think otherwise.

    Oh Deltia I know most people think WW is gimped but honestly I love it on my stam sorc and with the molag Kena set and Med Armor set undaunted bastion (the one that gives light and heavy attack bonus for casting a magical ability) so your heal triggers it and heck you gotta heal and might as well buff your light and heavy attacks and Molag Kena set should trigger it with the light attacks and WW already light attacks hit hard and now they will hit “Like a BOSS” lol just something to think about and give it a go. Plus this way you get a fear, dot, keep that surge up and the heals are crazy. Try it, just test it out and see what you think. 😉

    Hi Deltia, I’m really looking forward to this build. However I want to point out that Rapid Strikes is considered a DOT so it will not proc Crit (unless they changed something since the last time I tested). Surge, so you might want to stick with Wreaking Blow.

    Dude! How are you leveling characteres that fast?… I’m bored of the game and I’m just VR 9, after one month, leveling it’s pretty looooooooow, I want to get vr14 🙁

    Love the idea of never ending stamina. I’m thinking of using this build as a templet to build a sorc tank. Really the stam think made me interested. Do you think that would be a possibility with some of the other sorc abilities boosting armor and locking down mobs?

    im gonna re roll for this stram source cause it looks amazing. would it be okay to run a khajiit? mostly for aesthetic purposes. but i don’t want to kill the stamina either.

    I was happy to hear about this. What kind of gear do you recommend for us who can’t get the Vet lvl 16 gear at the moment. I know you mentioned Valkns or Nerienth gear. Should everything be in Medium armor? Your glyphs you throw on your armor is it all stamina? What lvl of Health and Magic are you trying to hit while maintaining the 35k stamina? Thanks again for posting look forward to what comes out. 🙂

      I am playing a stam sorc thanks to a buddy of mine tempting me with the fun but challenging play style. the armour etc. will depend if you pve or pvp.. the build in the vid here would not do so great in pvp and would need a fair tweak so I guess it depends on what you are trying to achieve

      he chose a redguard for a few reasons IMO.
      1. passive of returning stam when dealing melee damage suits an aggressive play style
      2. increased stam by 10% helps get him the huge stam pool (can also be done with imperial with the addition of health too but losing the stam gain on melee)
      3. increase stam regen in combat 9%.. enough said

      … short answer… passives

      stam sorcs would work well with imperial too as well as wood elf and maybe the cats in 1.7.. orc would be ok but overall for stamina resource management the redguard is probably the best choice

    This is great news… Maybe I’ll give up on my poor magicka DK and roll a stam sorc. FOTM N00b Rocket II…?

    (But seriously… if you could brainstorm a way to make magicka DKs a little less wet noodle-y for a competent casual player, I would be forever grateful.)

    Deltia, i want to thank you for your great builds en the effort you put into them. I have a offtoppic question and i hope you, or someone else can help me with because i can’t find it anywhere else. I made the non veteran campaign my home campaign with my third character, a imperial templar, with the end goal of making the blazing harvester. It seems that ap gain is lower here and i was wondering if i can change my home campaign for free to a veteran campaign once i hit veteran? Do you have any idea how long it takes to unlock caltrops? Thanks for everything and looking forward to new builds. If anyone in ps4 eu server is willing to trade ap for coins, contact me; raffabueno

    I like the new Riccochet build, though I’ve been playing my Blitzerker (Altmer, inspired by the original) a bit different.

    Leveling, I went with 2 Two-Hand, and Storm calling skills with one each Dark, and Daedric to get Overload and Uppercut before level 10.

    For PvP grinding/banking, you’re not supposed to be able to swap Stamina/magicka before 15, so it’s a head start diving into the fray, and sweeping up Skyshards(for passives)

    Around 15, I set up with CS, CR, Carve, EFury, Boundless Storm, and Overload.

    Trained up Bow (the same way, pull it out for Xp to the slotted skills) Curse, PA, Bombard, Fury (Executioner unlocked) Silver (FG), Stormy
    Respec Stam/agica for Spamina.

    Late game Energy Overload bar was Utility/Evasion, like Streak, Dark Exchange, CC/Mezz, and the SB/Curse stack to weave with attacks.

    Surge/Charge for a spikey vampiric strike, cleave up Ultimate to trade for Magicka/Damage with OL, then channel Health/Spamina while locking down with Control before switching back to Spamina, and resetting the rotation.

    Oh, and medium/bound armor. All 3 bars when the latter unlocks, so I don’t have to recast it. Altsirc for Magika, which is mostly used for effect instead of Amplitude “Stream goes the same distance;)

    Found it capable of getting me into, and out of all kinds of trouble, in and out of Cyrodiil, until the post game like low VR#s, and the various faction lands, though I haven’t redone it from the Banished Cellsin several patches.

    Okay so I see all points in Stamina but I don’t see recommended armor and skills. I have a level 27 Breton Sorc Werewolf just waiting to be respeced and was hoping I could find some ideas here since you come so highly recommended. Hopefully you’ll have more info up soon???

    Is it viable to respect an Altmer sorc into a stamina build and still be strong as long as medium armor is maxed etc? just looking for a change from the lightning flood, pulsar, frags
    combo.

    Hey Deltia thanks for all you’re help .
    I built a bloody butcher but found this build weak in pvp and on Xbox one you need 748 ap. For each item for the ravaging v14 rings n and necklace and nobody sells those the other gear no problem and I did get the vet 1 jewelry but anyway glad you’re re-tooling this build .Now I am leveling this Stam sorcerer build and it’s a beast build at vet 2 I picked up vipers sting set wich pros almost 1000k poison damage off all me lay attacks along with daggers and hundings rage this build is beast .
    Do you think this build may work better than shear venom if you get the vet 14-16 viper gear from sanctum ophidia ?

    Thanks for your work and insight man! I was wondering which armor trait you would prefer for pvp? I used to use nirnhoned but since the dlc dropped i am curious if crit reduction or armor boost would be a better choice.

    I did you’re bloody butcher build -Trash squishy as H and who has time to earn 750000 ap just for 2 Ravaging rings and a necklace ?
    I did you’re stamina sorcerer build -it’s ok magika would’ve been better but it is a fun build .
    I ran my ravaging gear and hundings rage and we’re wolf worked out ok
    Nobody can get shear venom not even you .vipers sting from sanctum.ophidia is a realistic option if you really want poison tornado.
    I did you’re stamina Night blade build – trash what good is a stamina nb he can’t stay invisible for more than a few seconds and is squishy as wet toilet paper .
    Unless you have 500 + champion points and have a few weeks to spend in pvp earning vigor and caltrops don’t waste you’re time with Deltias builds .
    Go Magika Sorcerer NB and DK without all the champion points Deltia has you will be left with a very squishy stamina based trash build and be very disappointed you wasted so much time .
    He got his champion points off a cheat that has been nerfed btw .
    Try creating some builds that are viable for people who don’t have 600 champion points and have been emporers in pvp . It’s not cool leading people to believe they will get the same results you get .They won’t unless they drop everything in real life for well over a year and you know this Deltia .

    So 18% stamina buff and lets say 12%weapon damage from skills (assuming only goin for 2 dw skills ) and meduim armor gives 12%? Great buffs for the class but they really need to have stamina morphs for the dps skills . Otherwise masterweapons will be almost a must to get the best out of it . What do you think ?
