How to Get Cryolator in Fallout 4
In Fallout 4, the Cryolator can be found within Vault 111 in a weapon’s display case. To obtain the weapon you will need to lockpick the case and utilize your companions for help.
Vault 111 should be quite easy to find as it’s the original location you wake up in at the beginning of the game. The vault is located just northwest of Sanctuary, your hometown. There are two methods to collect the Cyrolator, which we showcase below.
Method 1: Lockpick the Case
This method doesn’t require any extensive explanations. However, you won’t be able to lockpick this case at the beginning of the game. You will have to return when you can successfully lockpick master-level locked boxes. Once you can, simply re-enter Vault 111, make your way to the Overseer’s office, and loot the case for the Cryolator in Fallout 4.
Method 2: Companion Retrieval
For this method, you will need Dogmeat as your companion. Return to Vault 111 and go to the Overseer’s office. Once you and Dogmeat are inside the room, you will need to talk to him and ask him to fetch loot. Make sure to loot everything in the room beforehand, or it will take a couple of tries for Dogmeat to grab the weapon. Once Dogmeat collects the weapon, trade him and take the weapon and ammo for yourself.
