Finding the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 4

Finding the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 4

You can find the Brotherhood of Steel by visiting Cambridge Police Station, north and a little west of Diamond City Market. When you first arrive, you’ll find the location under attack by feral ghouls, and if you help the Brotherhood fight them off, they’ll be grateful.

Then you need to find the companion Paladin Danse, who will request that you help him and the Brotherhood with another task. Agree to help him out, and you will receive the Call to Arms quest. This will take you to the ArcJet Systems building, west and a bit north of the Police Station. Complete the quest, and Paladin Danse will give you the Righteous Authority laser rifle. Additionally, you’ll be asked to join the Brotherhood of Steel.

Fallout 4 Call to Arms location Paladin Danse

Assuming you say ‘yes’ to joining, Paladin Danse will return to the Cambridge Police Station, where you can visit him for another quest. Additionally, in Fallout 4, the Brotherhood of Steel had rank levels in their organization. You’ll start as an Initiate but can improve your standing by completing additional quests and missions. Moreover, as your rank improves, you will also unlock access to special weapons and equipment from the Brotherhood quartermaster. Death From Above, for example, is a heavy weapon you can get once you reach the rank of Paladin.

Choosing to Save the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 4

Should You Save the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 4

Choosing to save the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 4 means you must complete the quests that require you to destroy the other two major factions. Additionally, you’ll have to ensure that even if you are initially friendly with the other two factions, you do not advance their questlines too far. Once this choice is made, you will go on a killing spree, destroying two factions. Make sure you are ready for the repercussions.

If you are friendly with the Railroad, make sure you do not complete the Underground Undercover quest. Doing so will anger the Brotherhood of Steel, and you will no longer be welcome at the Prydwen.

If you are friendly with the Institute, ensure you do not complete the Mass Fusion quest. The Brotherhood will attack as you try to leave with the Beryllium Agitator and discover your true loyalties.
