Destiny 2 Apex Predator Rocket Launcher

Destiny 2 Apex Predator God Roll and How to Get

Welcome to our Destiny 2 Apex Predator God Roll and How to Get Guide. The Apex Predator is an Adaptive Frame Rocket Launcher that can be obtained as a drop from the Last Wish raid available with the Forsaken Expansion.

As of Season of the Deep, Apex Predator can be crafted once its Resonant Pattern is unlocked. Rocket Launchers are the absolute king of damage meta in almost all situations, with their only downside being dangerous to use due to accidental deaths.

Why You Should Get the Apex Predator Rocket Launcher

You should get the Apex Predator Rocket Launcher because it has the potential to be one of the best boss damage weapons in the game. Its only contender currently is Cold Comfort, and that launcher can’t be crafted. Here’s our list of why you should get the Apex Predator Rocket Launcher:

  • Damage Monster
  • Only comparable to one other weapon
  • Craftable

How to get Apex Predator God Roll in Destiny 2

In order to get the Apex Predator Rocket Launcher, the player needs to do encounters in the Last Wish raid which is located in the Dreaming City. Apex Predator can drop from any encounter or hidden chest inside of the Raid. Apex Predator can also be crafted at the Enclave once the Deepsight Pattern has been completely unlocked.

In order to acquire the Deepsight Pattern of the Last Wish Weapons, players will need to go to the Clan Vendor, Suraya Hawthorne at the Tower and acquire the “O Deepsight Mine” quest. This quest guarantees a red border weapon on completion and only requires that every encounter in the raid be completed. This quest can be completed weekly and once completed the player can purchase an additional Deepsight Pattern the player has unlocked in collections. Deepsight Patterns can also sometimes drop with the weapons acquired during the raid itself or have it applied to them with a Deepsight Harmonizer.

Barrel: When it comes to rocket launchers, there really isn’t a wrong choice for the barrel in PvE. Quick Launch is typically preferred but this is a very minor issue if your roll doesn’t have it.

Magazine: On the other end of the spectrum, Impact Casing is a must have perk since it adds a direct buff to damage. Don’t leave home without it.

Column 3 Trait: Here is where we start having fun with the perk combinations. Tracking Module and Demolitionist are decent options, but Reconstruction is definitely king of this Column. Basically allowing someone to have 2 rockets in the chamber at all times. Which is very good when combined with our 4th Column choice.

Column 4 Trait: Bait and Switch. The DPS trait king that made Cataclysmic the best option for the longest time, is now on a Rocket Launcher. Don’t even look at the other perks. They are distractions. This is the best option.

Origin Trait: A no choice but decent passive perk.

Masterwork: Velocity or Handling are typically the best plays here.

Mods: This is boss damage weapon and that means there is really only one choice, Boss Spec.

Conclusion: This thing is an absolute monster when it comes to damage. It could be the best Rocket Launcher to choose in most situations. And its craftable, making it fairly easy to acquire provided you do the Last Wish raid enough to get the patterns. Absolutely worth it.

Barrel: A slightly more important choice in PvP, look for options that add to Blast Radius. Volatile Launch is the best of these.

Magazine: Again, look for options that grant Blast Radius. Black Powder does this best.

Column 3 Trait: Guardians in PvP are always moving. This makes anything that can help you hit them very useful. Tracking Module is a great choice here. Danger Zone isn’t a bad option either.

Column 4 Trait: This is more of an experimental pick. I am currently unaware if Bipod grants Rockets more than one rocket when heavy ammo is picked up. If it does, its a for sure pick. If it doesn’t then its next to worthless. Go with Frenzy or Vorpal Weapon instead.

Origin Trait: A no choice but decent passive perk.

Masterwork: Velocity to counteract some of the negatives from picking certain barrel and magazine perks.

Mods: Quick Access Sling allows players to pull the rocket out quickly, which can make or break a huge play.

Conclusion: Honestly, why are you using this gun for PvP. You crafted the PvE roll right? Seriously, don’t waste your crafting materials unless you just really want to try out a Bipod roll in PvP. And honestly we don’t even know if that is worth it yet.
