Hotfix #13 – Baldur’s Gate 3

Larian Studios addressed several crucial issues, including crashes, exploits, and performance improvements, in the newly released Hotfix for Baldur’s Gate 3. The most significant problem involved a gold exploit allowing players to completely buy out a trader. Additionally, Larian Studios is actively enhancing performance and addressing bug-related crashes. The following outlines the key changes introduced in Hotfix #13 for Baldur’s Gate 3:

  • Crashes: A potential crash when leaving Act II has been addressed.
  • Exploits: A bug that allowed players to buy out traders with only 1 gold and a container has been fixed.
  • Trading: Tooltips within containers now properly update the total price when contents change while trading.
  • Bartering: Offers when bartering with a container containing gold are now balanced correctly.
  • Vendoring: Empty bags sold to vendors no longer cost the equivalent of the items they previously contained.
  • Performance: Performance in Baldur’s Gate after peacefully resolving the Knights of the Shield situation on PS5 has been improved.

This patch further enhances the Baldur’s Gate 3 experience for players, ensuring a more stable and enjoyable journey through the Forgotten Realms. Larian Studios urged players to continue to report bugs, crashes, and exploits. You can reach out to their support team here to report bugs. Xbox players can now enjoy Baldur’s Gate 3, which was released the same day as Hotfix 13. Moreover, you can check out the previously released Patch 5 here, which added Honour Mode.
