Destiny 2 Finally Reveals Season of the Wish
After years of scouring maps and lore and everything in between, Destiny 2 is finally getting the answers to one of its oldest mysteries: What is the 15th Wish? Those answers seem to be coming next season, with the announcement of Destiny 2’s newest content drop, Season of the Wish. The games official Twitter account dropped this message after several players solved the final puzzle in the Imbaru Engine:

This promises to be the culmination of a five year mystery that has existed in Destiny 2 since the Forsaken expansion’s Last Wish raid was released. While excitement for this is tempered due to the recent events at Bungie, players seem tentatively optimistic at least about the theme for next season.
The Future of Destiny 2
After the recent issues with Bungie and player trust being at an all time low, its nice to see some good news come out. Now I’m sure a lot of players are still skeptical. There is still a lot of trust that needs to be built back up, but it was never the development team at Bungie that players were upset with. Players seem cautiiously excited about the future while still keeping their qualms with Bungie management known.
The announcement of the Season of the Wish, is sure to have mixed reactions. Some players will probably feel like its too soon after the bad news of last week to be making grand announcements. Others will probably be pumped to see new content coming to the game. I personally will keep a healthy level of cynicism while still being eager to see what comes next.
