Learn about all the pivotal characters that you will witness in the latest Dynasty Warriors game, Dynasty Warriors Origins.
Dynasty Warriors: Origin is close to its release, and some fans don’t even know what characters they should be expecting within the game. We are here to change that for the fanbase, maintaining the hype of the game.
We don’t plan on spoiling the story in any way. So, we will only use the official information that Koei Tecmo revealed ahead of the release of their latest project.
Note that we won’t be making any predictions on the story; we are just here to give you a glimpse of what you should expect in terms of the game’s characters.
All Characters in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Dynasty Warriors Origins features a total of 17 main characters that will be pivotal in the story that you are about to experience. Everybody plays a different role in the game that we won’t discuss just yet.
Starting with the Protagonist; all we know about him for now is that he is a traveling martial artist who is an amnesiac. He doesn’t seem to remember much except handling weapons, thanks to his muscle memory.
Now, moving on to the rest of the characters.

Heroes-To-Be in the Latest Dynasty Warriors
After the chaos, one out of these three characters will realize their vision of a new world and bring about order:
- Cao Cao
- Sun Jian
- Liu Bei
Companions Who Help the Protagonist
Companions, or “warriors without peer,” stand with our Protagonist in the game and belong to the forces of the three Heroes mentioned above. These companions that charge into battle with you are:
- Cao Cao’s Forces: Xiahou Dun, Guo Jia, and Zhang Liao
- Sun Jian’s Forces: Huang Gai, Sun Shangxiang, and Zhou Yu
- Liu Bei’s Forces: Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, and Zhao Yun
Protagonist’s Past Acquaintances
The amnesiac Protagonist isn’t shielded from his past. He encounters people who make him question his reality and his past. These people are key to helping him search for answers.

Additional Characters
Some more characters that will be occupying screen time belong to forces other than the “heroes” we mentioned. You will either form bonds or duel against them. Only time will tell.
