Weapon Mastery is a major aspect of character progression in Throne and Liberty. Weapon Mastery is a system through which you can affix extra effects to your active weapons. Each weapon has three different Mastery paths focusing on different aspects like higher survivability and enhanced damage. At Mastery level 16, the level cap for Weapon Mastery is adjusted. The Weapon Mastery rate that you gain is based on the strength of the enemies you encounter. Weapon Mastery in Throne and Liberty comes with experimentation, hard practice, and especially challenges.
Collect Mastery EXP for increasing your Mastery level and this EXP can be achieved by utilizing Abyss Points through Training Dew items and by farming enemies in dungeons. Leveling up weapon Mastery will let you earn Mastery points that are useful for activating skills and effects. Each equipment set in Throne and Liberty has its own Weapon Mastery progress. Players equipping two weapon sets will receive 50% of the EXP gained to the secondary set with the weapon currently in combat.
What Is Weapon Mastery in Throne & Liberty?
Weapon Mastery in Throne and Liberty is a mechanic that gradually helps you become more capable with your primary and secondary weapons. Weapon Mastery gives passive buffs that increase your combat prowess. This allows you to unlock passive effects for your Weapons. Weapon in Throne and Liberty has its own Weapon Mastery page, which includes three different branches.
Mastery Branches allow you to fulfill a role better and aim for specific gameplay features. A separate Weapon Mastery tree is equipped with every weapon type in the game. However, the Weapon Mastery tree’s bonuses will only function when that weapon is actively equipped in the game. The bonuses will still be active when you switch to your other weapon.
Crossbow Weapon Mastery provides the following three Branches in the game.
- Move
- Regen
- Chain Fire
You can earn better mobility of better damage and Mana Regen for your character by focusing on above mentioned branches. Weapon Mastery is a system that provides you EXP for equipped weapons based on the experience earned. Keep in mind that Weapon Mastery points are minimal at the beginning of the game but you’ll earn later. You’ll start earning these points as your EXP per kill and quest increase with zones and levels in Throne and Liberty.
How Weapon Mastery Works in Throne and Liberty
Earn EXP and level up your Weapon Mastery by leveling up in the game and Earning experience. Keep in mind that the second weapon that is equipped will only receive 50% of the Weapon Mastery EXP whereas your primary weapon will gain full Weapon Mastery EXP. The level cap for your Weapon Mastery is 16 and the dev can change it in the future. You achieve Mastery Points when leveling up your Weapon Mastery and use the Mastery Points to get access to the new effect from one of the accessible branches.
You can also merge effects from all branches. Unlock it and activate it to obtain an effect. One must understand that the activated effects of your primary equipped weapon can affect your gameplay. For example, if you somehow unlocked Weapon Mastery effects for your longbow as your primary main weapon set and Wand as your secondary weapon set then only the Longbow effect will be active in the battlefield. Exchange the weapon to activate the effects of Wand and Tome in the game.
How to Increase Weapon Mastery
Earn Weapon Mastery XP for a weapon type by gaining EXP while equipping that designated weapon. Your secondary weapon will receive half of the EXP and your primary weapon type will get the full amount of XP. Earn Weapon Mastery XP to get access to the new passives in the Weapon Mastery tree. Upgrading each tier of Mastery in Trone and Liberty needs a sufficient amount of effort.
Press F10 or Esc for the main menu and then open the Skills menu to unlock the Weapon Mastery tree for your equipped primary and secondary weapons. Press the LMB to select the weapon icons between your Active and Passive Skills to move into your Weapon Mastery. Check your current Weapon Mastery level and your progression towards the next higher level. Moving towards a higher level will give you the option to select one more Weapon Mastery passive in the game.
How to Use Weapon Mastery in Throne & Liberty
There are three branches that every Weapon Mastery offers in Throne and Liberty. Each of these branches is adjusted to a specific playstyle or condition of gameplay. Dagger has branches for Poison, Disguise, and Assassination. Use the poison to increase your poison Dots, Disguise for defending and evading damage, and the Assassination to improve raw damage output.
The choice is yours; either you wish to go all-in with one branch or combine and match between them. You must unlock everything before unlocking the passive at the branch’s end due to each branch’s liner system. The purple effects show that you’ve already unlocked them and the locked effects are displayed by an upward arrow pointing towards them. Moreover, the final passive is usually the most substantial, so players spend 9 points and then 3 in another tree typically.
To activate any effect, you need to select the effect with the arrow. You must have enough amount of Sollant to activate a Weapon Mastery effect. However, you can cash back your Sollant by deactivating an effect and spending it for other purposes. Deactivating the effect will charge you 10,000 Sollant as well.
How to Level Up Weapon Mastery Fast in Throne and Liberty
Use Training Dew to level up your Weapon Mastery fast in Throne and Liberty. Accomplish the Dungeons, Co-op Dungeons, Daily Contracts, and Weekly Contracts to gain Training Dew. You can use the Training Dew to boost the Weapon Mastery of your Equipped Weapons. Use the Training Dew as soon as possible because they’ll disappear from your collection after some time.
Gather the Training Dew and use them to boost the Weapon Mastery of your equipped weapons. Keep in mind that Training Dew will be destroyed after 24 hours or after 1 day. Training Dew can’t be used if you’re not equipped with a weapon or if your Mastery is maxed out. To boost your combat abilities and overall performance in the game, you need to enhance your weapon capability.
Your equipped weapon grows proportional to the EXP you earn. Your second set of weapons also gains Mastery EXP. You gain Mastery Points as you grow in Mastery Level.
Weapon Mastery Effects in Throne and Liberty
Every weapon in Throne and Liberty has its own Mastery tab with different effects. The effect that each Mastery tab provides is different from each branch. Unlock the Weapon Mastery and activate them to gain the Weapon Mastery Effects. You need to level up and achieve Mastery points to earn the Mastery EXP.
The effect that can be activated will be pointed after you collect a sufficient amount of Mastery points in the game. Utilize the points to get the available effects and you can see the activated effects on the right side of the screen. To activate the Weapon Mastery effect, click on the activated effect to show the pop-up, and then click on the activate button on the pop-up window to get one of the effects.
Crossbow Weapon Mastery
The first Mastery Skill that Crossbow offers is Mystical Regen, and the Move, Regen, and Chain Fire branches. You’ll receive these effects from all of the three branches.
