When you go to the east side of Trosky to talk to Vostatek, much to your surprise, he won’t be there, and you will find his wife instead. His wife, Zlata, will inform you that her husband has gone missing, and she does not know where to find him. You will come across this mystery if you take up The Mutt side quest. Either way, once you talk to Zlata, The Lackey quest will begin. The consensus will be that Vostatek is drinking somewhere and that is why he did not return; however, the wife will express that she thinks something worse has happened to her husband and that you should go and check it out. From here, our journey begins.
How To Find Kingdom Come Deliverance 2′ Vostatek
You should start by asking the son, Vitek, a few questions. After that, head north to the search area, near the intersection between the two ponds. Now go north again from the intersection, and you will find Vostatek up on a tree surrounded by three wolves. Keep in mind that if you want the Lent trophy, you cannot kill the wolves, so fight unarmed and knock them out instead. The animals will attack you one at a time, so it should not be too hard to defeat them.
Vostatek will come down from the tree after all three wolves have been defeated, and you will get the opportunity to talk to him. Now he will ask you to carry him to his camp because he has an injured leg and to pick up his horse, Pepik. If you refuse, the quest won’t be completed. So pick him up and start following his directions. Soon you will notice that he is giving you contradictory directions, so just ignore him and follow the river to the north, and you will reach the Hunter’s Camp.
From here, you can take him directly home, but that will lower your reputation, and he will only give you 25 Groschen. Drop him down once you reach the camp and bring some water. After that, he will ask you to look for his horse while he stays in the safety of the hideout. You can refuse, but remember that it will lower your reputation, so say yes and go find Pepik.
Kill The Poachers
After this, go to the marked area on the southeast side of the map, and you will find the post where Pepik was tied up. Keep following the path, and soon you will come across a hunting horn. Interact with it, and you will see a saddle and some horse tracks on the map. Now the poacher’s camp will be marked on your map. Follow the road to the southeast, and you will reach the camp, which will be on a cliff.
There will be a total of five enemies in the poacher camp. You can simply steal the horse and run away, but if you do that, then you will miss all the rewards around the camp. So kill them instead. You can fight them directly, but we recommend that you take the poachers out one by one stealthily. If you take the stealth approach, go in during nighttime, and you will catch easy targets with two of them sleeping. Then take them all out and loot the camp and the back cave.
Once all the poachers are dead, you will be able to find Pepik somewhere in the middle of the camp. Now all you have to do is take Pepik back to Vostatek in the hunter’s camp. After you have reached the camp, speak to Vostatek, and Henry will tell him what you did with the poachers, which will depend on your actions. Then you will have the option of returning to Vostatek’s house with him or on your own.
Either way, you will have to reach his house to end the quest. Speak with Vostatek in his house, and he will reward you according to your actions throughout the quest. The rewards will be:
- 80 Groschen if you kill all the poachers and bring Pepik back safely.
- 45 Groschen if you don’t kill all the poachers or Pepik dies.
- 25 Groschen if you don’t do any of it and bring Vostatek straight back home.
