Unlike other antagonists, his journey starts as a hero who fully believes that he can change the world and make it better. However, as he continued using the Death Note, his god complex grew, and Light became a ruthless dictator as he went ahead and killed anyone who dared to oppose him.
He was characterized as hardworking, talented, and a natural genius. Light was popular among his peers and loved by his family members.
