This guide focuses on the essential aspects of a Circle of the Stars Druid build in Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3) and how to use those powers to your advantage.

Creating a build in Baldur’s Gate 3 can be a complex task. Players must make decisions on various choices like ability score, level progression, companions, weapons, armor, and consumables. In this guide, we discuss the Druid class and how to make the Circle of Stars Subclass build.
This build page has been updated for the patch 8 version of Baldur’s Gate 3.
Druid Class Guide in BG3
The Druid class is known for Wild Shape in Baldur’s Gate 3 which allows you to transform into various beast. The beast gives you a fresh health bar and new skills. However, you won’t be able to cast spells while in wild shape. The Circle of Spores and Circle of the Stars subclasses are different in that you don’t transform into a beast. The Druid is a strong overall class, blending marital melee in wild shape form with spellcasting and support.
Why Should You Choose the Circle of the Stars Subclass for the Druid Class in BG3?
Choose the Circle of the Stars subclass if you want a powerful Druid that doesn’t use Wild Shape forms. The Circle of the Stars excels in Act 1, using Lumious Armour and Guiding Bolt for damage. You gain more ranged damage spells alongside your normal Druid spell kit. Moreover, once multiclassed with the Cleric, you gain AOE radiant spells that fit well with the build.
Everything About the Circle of the Stars Druid in Baldur’s Gate 3
What makes the Circle of the Stars Druid unique is the ability to gain Guiding Bolt and increase attack rolls by 1d6 with a subclass feature. Therefore, the class and build plays more like a ranged archer with spells, taking advantage of Act 1 armor and jewelry to increase overall power. The subclass is a simple and effective way to play, especially at the start of the game.
The downsides are that the power fades in later levels, especially in Act 3. However, multiclassing can help this downside to gain more area damage, mobility, and radiant sources.
