Discover the missing wrestlers in WWE 2K25. Find out which 10 popular names in the industry did not make it to the game.
WWE 2K25 is missing some wrestlers from the video game roster. This is not a new thing for the franchise, but a trend that is seen in almost every game in the series. WWE always excludes certain wrestlers from their video game for varied reasons.
Maybe the wrestler’s contract with the Stamford-based company has ended, or they might be a part of a greater controversy that the company wants to distance itself from. Either way, it can result in the most popular wrestlers getting excluded from being playable characters.
Popular Wrestlers Missing From WWE 2K25
There are 300+ wrestlers on the roster in WWE 2K25 at the time of writing. This includes the original roster, as well as the Secret Wrestlers that players can unlock. The latter can be unlocked via an in-game Store purchase or by completing certain milestones. These Secret Wrestlers can either be variants of existing superstars on the roster, like Super Cena, or be completely new wrestlers that were not already present at the beginning of the game.
The following popular wrestlers are missing from the WWE 2K25 roster:
- Bad Bunny – The popular popstar started off his part-time wrestling career in WWE with a bombastic WrestleMania 37 debut. He became a recurring face in some PLEs and even became the cover page wrestler for WWE 2K23. Unfortunately, he wasn’t included on the WWE 2K25 roster.
- Brock Lesnar – The Beast Incarnate has had a legendary career run in WWE but recently fell away from the wrestling promotion. The primary reason is unknown, but some reports suggested that the company distanced itself because of Lesnar’s alleged involvement in a controversy.
- Bobby Lashley – Although Bobby Lashley has had impressive matches in the Stamford-based company, his term ended in 2024. Now, he is a missing wrestler from the WWE 2K25 roster.
- Jinder Mahal – When The Rock returned to Monday Night Raw on the first Monday Night Raw of 2024, he started a beef with Jinder Mahal. While it hyped up some fans because of the impressive job he did, it never picked up. Unfortunately, he was laid off along with some other wrestlers at the time. This is why we will probably never see him again in a WWE game unless he returns as a wrestler.
- MVP – Bobby Lashley’s former manager and faction leader was a force to be reckoned with. He was one of the stars to get laid off in 2024 when his contract ended. He has tried to get into Jiu-Jitsu since then. The terminated contract is probably why he is a missing wrestler from the WWE 2K25 roster.
- Ricochet – Ricochet was one of the stars who left WWE and showed up in AEW just a few days later. Considering that his contract with WWE had ended before this switch, the company didn’t bother including the aerial assassin in their latest game.
- Ronda Rousey – It has been a while since Ronda Rousey has put her WWE days behind her. This doesn’t stop her from being one of the popular female wrestlers of her time though. It is kind of disappointing for long-term WWE fans to not find her on the roster.
- Shane McMahon – WWE and Shane McMahon never blended well together. He has had alleged backstage troubles, due to which he wasn’t regular in the company. Now, he has been exiled from the roster altogether.
- Muhammad Ali – I know Muhammad Ali was a legendary boxer. However, he debuted in WWE back in the first WrestleMania as a guest referee. He has since been a part of the family. The company gave him a Hall of Fame spot and even included him in the “legends” roster in WWE 2K24. But he is nowhere to be found in the new game.
- The Big Show – Big Show’s wrestling days are officially behind him. Even though he was a respected WWE star in his prime, he now works for AEW, a rival company, as an announcer. This is enough of a reason for him to not be included on the roster.
While these stars are missing from the roster right now, there is no telling whether they may show up later as DLCs or might become a part of the next installment in the franchise.
