If there’s one thing that Final Fantasy 16 excels at, it’s boss battles. Every battle is so jaw-dropping that you can’t expect it to get topped. However, the developers surprise players with every new boss fight and keep on breaking new boundaries.

Here is our list of the five best boss fights in Final Fantasy 16.

5) Odin

The scale of this fight is not that grand, but that doesn’t take away anything from the nature of the fight. It is yet another beautifully designed boss battle in Final Fantasy 16. In the Final Fantasy difficulty mode, it even becomes a real challenge to beat Odin. Most of the fight takes place in human form, and there is minimal usage of your Eikon.

That also keeps things refreshing since a lot of the bosses turn into Eikonic battles. Odin, as a villain, also outclasses the other big baddies of the story. His presence is felt throughout due to his great acting, accompanied by an extremely eerie OST. All these elements combine to form an overall amazing boss battle in the game.

4) Ultima

Ultima is the final boss battle in Final Fantasy 16. The encounter also solidified a great send-off to your journey. Even though this fight is not up to par with Bahamut or Titan, it’s still one of the best video game boss fights. It is a stunning clash of all Eikonic abilities while an enthralling OST plays in the background.

The game breaks the fourth wall when the player becomes the final witness of the big bad’s fantasy.

3) Titan

The Titan fight is the boss fight that made FF16 famous. It occurs during the mid-game stage and really shows everyone what the game is capable of. This fight makes you think about how the developers managed to make FF16 run on the PS5. There is not a single frame drop during the entire section, and with what’s happening on screen, it is something truly marvelous.

When the Titan brings out his ultimate form, the music makes a complete shift. It changes the entire tone of the game. The OST that plays is unlike any other in FF16, and the entire scene is elevated by the electric guitar.

That’s saying something when the encounter itself is probably one of the best moments of the entire game.

2) Leviathan

Leviathan was added to the game as part of the second DLC. The first DLC did not come to great reviews but the Eikon battle in The Rising Tide is just phenomenal. The OST that plays in the boss fight is a remix of the original reveal trailer music of the game. That in itself was a gift for fans.

The Leviathan battle also takes place in multiple phases, but the scale is not as grand as the Bahamut fight. However, this is definitely the hardest Eikon battle and one that actually proves to be a challenge. The base game Eikon battles are not that challenging, but thankfully, Leviathan proves to be a big hurdle that players must cross. With amazing OST, a beautiful stage, and stunning boss design, this battle deserves the second spot on the list.

1) Bahamut

This boss battle takes place between mid-game and end-game, and what a spectacle it is to witness. It will genuinely leave you in awe at how grand a boss fight can be. There are multiple phases to this fight, and each new phase tops the one prior.

Things get really heated up when both Clive and Joshua join hands to take on Bahamut. The scale of this fight is already legendary when 3 Eikons are battling it out for supremacy. Then, the game steps up the pace by changing the stage to space. This is the moment where FF16 will become one of your all-time favorites.

Another reason to love the fight, aside from the gameplay, is the story in this section, which consists of multiple big reveals.
