New PC gamers often get overwhelmed by the sheer number of games available on the market. If you ask a friend, they are likely to name titles such as GTA 5, Witcher 3, and others like them. While they are classics, there’s no doubt about that, but they are a bit dated in 2025. Newer games, released in the last five years, are also carving their names in their PC gaming history books. In this article, we are showcasing some of the best modern games you must play on your new gaming PC first.

In this land, the Paintress obliterates the people when they attain a certain age using Gommage, a dark ritual. You will be put in the shoes of Gustave, Maelle, Lune, and Sciel, who must journey across the land to seek out and destroy the Paintress and break the never-ending chain of annihilation.

You play as the character V, a mercenary whose life is flipped upside down when an experimental biochip implant goes wrong and introduces Johny Silverman, an augmented AI with an expiry date.

If V fails to get this chip out of them, they will die. Cyberpunk 2077 has 80+ hours of content for players to enjoy. There’s also a DLC called Phantom Liberty, which significantly expanded the story.

Kratos will battle the gods, such as Thor, Odin, Heimdal, and others, in epic battles. There’s no game quite like it.
