With the full release of Hades 2 coming up soon, here are five of the most anticipated features within the community.
The community is eagerly anticipating many new features that will be added to Hades 2 in the full release, taking place on September 25, 2025. This release will bring a lot of new known and unknown features to the god-like rogue-like.
We do not know everything that will come in this release, however, many long-awaited features will likely be added. Read on to learn more about these.
Most Anticipated Features For Hades 2 Full Release
These are some of the highly anticipated mechanics and events which will likely be added on September 25, 2025:
- New Boons
- Story Ending
- More Characters
- Hypnos Awakens
- Post-Game Content
New Boons
With every previous update, Hades 2 has brought either new gods or updated and changed boons. This time will likely be similar, as we will likely get some more boons from already existing gods and goddesses.
Moreover, new gods are also not off the table, as Demeter was a goddess who got unlocked only after reaching the surface in the original Hades. There could be a similar situation here with perhaps someone like Persephone instead, or someone else entirely.
Story Ending
Although players have completed many runs during the Early Access, Chronos could not be permanently defeated. However, this is likely to change in the full release, as we will finally get the full story of the game. This not only includes completing the ‘Dissolution of Time’ but also defeating Typhon and saving Olympus once and for all.
More Characters
The original Hades had no shortage of NPCs to interact with and help flesh out its world-building. Hades 2 has surpassed the cast size of the original already, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down.
You can likely also expect interactions with older characters like the Fates, Zagreus, and Persephone in the future, to name a few.
Hypnos Awakens
Currently, you cannot progress into the dream realm of Hypnos. Moreover, this elusive character is sleeping for the entirety of the Early Access. So, this realm will likely be expanded upon with the full release, and hopefully bring the awakening of Hypnos as well.
Post-Game Content
Hades 2 is a rogue-like game, which puts focus on repeatability. Even after the threats of Chronos and Typhon are quelled, you will not be forced to drop the controller. Instead, there will likely be some explanation, which allows you to repeat these runs again and again.
The original Hades had you deliver invitations to the Olympians and become a full-time employee under Hades. We do not know what to expect from this content at the moment in Hades 2, however, it will likely excite the fans.
