Hollow Knight had a lot of memorable bosses that will surely stand the test of time, and Silksong is no different. Silksong has a similar roster of foes you can take on and fight. Many of these were simply fun boss fights, whereas others could be more infuriating (like Moorwing).

These bosses tend to stand out for various reasons. Some were important to the story, while others were more noticeable due to things like movesets, unexpectedness, or just pure fun. There are over 40 bosses to fight in the game, so not every one of them will make the list. Some were memorable for having an infuriating moveset, while others had an excruciating run back that made them artificially harder.

The five most memorable bosses are:

  • Fourth Chorus
  • Trobbio
  • Moorwing
  • Lace
  • Grand Mother Silk

Fourth Chorus

You first stumble upon this boss room while going to acquire the Drifter’s Cloak. You might see the huge creature sitting still in the background and expect it to wake up. However, nothing happens. Instead, when you acquire this new item and make your way back, this colossal boss wakes up and starts the fight.

On top of that, the boss fight itself is pretty fun, as you have to use the newly acquired Drifter’s Cloak to soar high into the air to avoid falling into the lava. This also gives the boss an aerial aspect that not many bosses have.

Trobbio

The flamboyant Trobbio is another memorable one. You fight the Master of the Stage, the Brush, and the Voice on his home turf. This boss fight might be one that some would find infuriating due to its reliance on luck.

However, once you get used to these attacks, Trobbio becomes a fun boss to fight, with every attack being visually flashy. This matches the core personality of the boss as well.

Moorwing

The previously mentioned Moorwing is also one that will likely be remembered by the community as a whole. This flying boss immediately became notorious in the community after the release of the game. There are multiple reasons for this.

This is one of the few boss fights where you can be assisted by another set of NPCs, Garmond and Zaza. However, Moorwing is also infamous for making players search for cheese strategies and guides immediately after the launch of Silksong. Both of these points combined will probably make Moorwing quite memorable in the long run.

Lace

Apart from these, Lace is another standout. Lace essentially functions as a rival-type boss in the game. You fight her in multiple locations throughout the game, each time with increasing difficulty. Moreover, Lace also uses a thin rapier-like weapon and has a stature similar to Hornet.

She’s agile, fast, and even punishes you for hitting her while she has her guard up. This boss fight always feels like you are in a fencing competition, where you must have precise movements and carefully time your attacks; otherwise, you risk getting defeated. She also assists you in some endings of the game, which gives this boss even more points in her favor.

Lastly, she can also become the final boss for one of the endings in the game, which further solidifies this character’s spot on this list.

Grand Mother Silk

The very final boss of the game is sure to stick with you for some time. You fight Grand Mother Silk as the final boss of Act 2. This fight will likely stand out for a multitude of reasons. The fight is grand and has a lot of flair.

She has some attacks that feel like a nod to Radiance from the first game. Her first phase only has her use her floating needles and Silk threads that cover the whole screen. However, over time this ramps up to include spikes from the ground and even debris falling from the sky. All this is topped by the finish of Hornet using the Needolin or Bind to get the desired ending of the game.

Many more bosses were also memorable from Hollow Knight: Silksong, including Savage Beastfly, Bell Eater, and Cogwork Dancers, among others. However, this list only had five spots to use. Which boss was memorable for you?
