5. Kai Cenat
Kai Cenat, unquestionably the top streamer on Twitch, has the most followed channel on the list. Cenat was on air for over 78 hours through January. Notably, this is the lowest watch time on the list. However, the streamer had over 142,000 peak viewers at one point, which tops the list, followed by Asmongold. Kai had several hit streams throughout January, including the AMP sleepover stream and the WWE appearance. Notably, the 23-year-old garnered an average viewership of over 80,000 viewers.

4. Plaqueboymax
Maxwell “Plaqueboymax” is another Twitch star in the making, with celebrities like Drake and Fivio Foreign mentioning him. The streamer had a great start to the year and had promised to make content and stream for 365 days without a break. Max streamed for 148 hours in January, had a peak viewership of over 125,000 viewers, and had an average of 37,000 viewers tuning in to the streams. Max had one of the biggest collaborations of January with Central Cee. The pair made a song called 24 hours during the “In the Booth” stream.

In January 2025, Brazilian streamer Luan Kovarik, known as JonVlogs, maintained a strong presence on Twitch. He streamed for approximately 405 hours, attracting a peak viewership of over 51,000 viewers and accumulating over 7 million watch hours. He has 2.2M followers on the platform and is one of the top streamers from Brazil. The streamer has accumulated over 53.1K new followers in January 2025.

Twitch streamer and political commentator HasanAbi had a rocky start to the year. He streamed for over 249 hours in January. The streamer had an average of 31,000 viewers and hit a peak of 67,000 viewers. With 7.74 million watch hours, the streamer was the 2nd most watched Just Chatting streamer on the platform, according to StreamCharts. His most watched clip in January 2025 was when he reacted to Elon Musk making a controversial gesture at Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony.

Zack Hoyt, more popularly known as Asmongold, streams on his alternate channel Zackrawrr, where he has a following of over 2.02 million. The streamer has over 184 hours streamed in January. He achieved a peak viewership of over 300,000 viewers and was watched for 9.28 million hours. Zack averaged around 50,000 viewers on his streams in the first month of the year. He blew up on social media after he accused Elon Musk of boosting his Path of Exile 2 account. Following which, Elon leaked DMs of Asmongold, where the billionaire mistook his editors for being Zack’s bosses.
