Minecraft is easily one of the most successful games ever made because it has no real end goal, meaning that it can be played forever. From mining different ores, creating settlements, exploring, and much more, Minecraft has it all. Additionally, players have created some spectacular monuments in this game, such as the likes of Anor Londo from Dark Souls.

Since Minecraft does not impose any grind or goal upon the player, it is a great game to relax and unwind with. While there are only a handful of games that come close to Minecraft’s creative freedom, we will be listing the five most relaxing ones.

1. Roblox

Roblox allows players to create almost any kind of game they want, without any restrictions. Gamers have made everything from fashion shows, shooting games, horror games, and much more. The creativity is almost unrivaled, evoking the same feeling that Minecraft does.

Additionally, the Roblox platform is designed for players of all ages, ensuring a family-friendly experience. The actual games themselves are varied, though, providing a different experience for each group. As the platform allows any game to be made, many creators have created their games based on popular anime and fiction. All in all, Roblox provides a relaxing and fun multiplayer experience for players of all ages.

2. Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley is a 2D game that allows players to live a farmer’s life and grow different crops and vegetables. Additionally, they must also get rid of any environmental obstacles that may get in the way of the farm’s construction. Players are also required to interact with other NPCs and build lasting relationships with them. It is even possible to start a family and have children in Stardew Valley.

The game offers both offline and online multiplayer, ensuring a balanced and fun experience for all players.

3. Animal Crossing

Animal Crossing is a game that has no real objective, similar to Minecraft. Players can do anything they want, such as fishing, gardening, and socializing with different villagers. They can also make their own house and customize it as they see fit. Additionally, they also have a lot of freedom in customizing their own character.

The best part about Animal Crossing is that it mirrors real life. It is possible to encounter new characters that may end up leaving in the future, the villagers that are close to you will care about you, build a new routine for each season, etc. The game also provides online multiplayer, so no wonder it became so popular.

4. No Man’s Sky

Just like Minecraft, No Man’s Sky is a game that can be played forever. It has a procedurally generated universe that houses hundreds of galaxies, making it impossible to explore it all. Additionally, players are allowed to build their own bases and team up with others to explore different parts of the universe. They can also engage in space battles with other factions.

Like all the other games on this list, No Man’s Sky is limited only by your imagination and willingness to explore.

5. Terraria

Terraria is often considered the closest thing to Minecraft, and they are absolutely right. While Terraria is a 2D game, it boasts all the options available in Minecraft. You can explore the 2D world, build, craft, mine, and fight different enemies. In essence, Terraria can be called the 2D version of Minecraft. The game also has different playable classes and difficulty modes, adding many layers of depth to the game.

If players want another experience that is just like Minecraft, then Terraria is the perfect game for them.
