No matter the community, one might come across a cheater and it is pretty common. Some might keep themselves hidden away, whereas some might go to the extent of cheating live on stream.

Cheating is cheating. Some might use external software to amplify their odds in the game, some might take to stream sniping, and some might tweak their hardware to get the upper hand. Here is a list of streamers caught cheating on camera.

xQc

Popular streamers joined forces to compete in a Fall Guys competition at the 2020 GlitchCon, Twitch’s virtual convention. In what would turn out to be one of the year’s most significant gaming scandals, xQc and his teammates felt it would be convenient to stream-snipe their opponents in an effort to win.

This led to xQc being banned from Twitch for a week. In recent years, xQc has consistently requested Twitch to ban stream snipers, indicating he has learned his lesson and the potential impact such an action could have.

Dream

Another one of the streamers caught cheating on camera was popular Minecraft star, Dream. Several well-known speedrunning YouTubers, most notably Karl Jobst, exposed him for using Minecraft to give him advantageous drop rates. However, Dream refused these allegations for months.

In order to demonstrate that he wasn’t cheating and that he merely got lucky throughout his runs, Dream even hired a Harvard professor to conduct the math for him in a huge Google Doc. All of this was exposed, and Dream finally gave in and acknowledged that he had cheated on his Minecraft speedruns.

Solista

Solista was an elite Valorant player who got banned during a live-streamed match by the game’s anti-cheat system, Vanguard, and joined the list of streamers caught cheating. Moreover, when he was banned, he acted all surprised and came up with an excuse saying that he was banned because of his use of the spacebar.

Solista claimed that that he switched between his mouse and spacebar for shooting, which may have contributed to Vanguard’s flagging him. However, he hasn’t been regularly active since, though he did attempt to return to the game but was met with rampant criticism of his prior behavior.

MOBADOS

Argentinian streamer MOBADOS is known for playing a variety of FPS games. Back in 2019, when Apex Legends was released, a clip went viral when he became one of the streamers caught cheating on live stream.

The streamer was spotted using an auto-aim cheat, which allowed him to effortlessly lock in on the targets. The Twitch streamer was banned from the game and eventually lost his Twitch partnership after viewers caught him cheating.

MrGolds

MrGolds was known for his Call of Duty: Warzone streams. Moreover, he used to brag about how good he was at the game. He said, “Just because I have a good recoil, I’m good at the game. This is the first time you see someone good at the game!”

Right after he said it, he mistakenly opened his task manager, which revealed that he was using a cheat engine running in the background during his live stream. After joining the streamers caught cheating on camera list, he was banned from both the game and the streaming platform.
