Fans have been begging for a GTA 6 Trailer 2 before the year ends. It even escalated to the point where fans began speculating about a December 27 trailer release. The theories were based on a seemingly random Twitter post by a Rockstar Games employee. Needless to say, the community is eager to know more about the next big installment of the GTA series.
As the dust settles, anticipation for the second trailer is already building up. What more could Rockstar unveil to elevate the hype? In this article, let’s talk about the things we would love to see in GTA 6 Trailer 2.

5 Features We Are Hoping To See in GTA 6 Trailer 2
1. Actual Gameplay
The first trailer gave us a glimpse of the jaw-dropping visuals of the world that GTA 6 is set in. We also saw two of the potential main characters of the story and their relationship with each other. This is a good setup for what could be a deeply engaging narrative. This is all cool, but we barely get to see gameplay footage.
As a highly anticipated video game, we would love to see actual gameplay footage and not just cutscenes in the game. We want to feel a hands-on experience, even if it’s just watching someone play it in the trailer. As much as we enjoy the story in previous GTA titles, the gameplay loops of just running around roleplaying or doing random shenanigans are what kept the fans hooked through these years. This is why we are hoping to see more gameplay previews in the GTA 6 Trailer 2. Fans would probably celebrate even if the second trailer is just a gameplay demo.
2. New Game Mechanics
GTA 5 blew fans away when it added online multiplayer. This feature was one of the highly requested ones since Vice City. San Andreas even had a community-driven mod that added online play. This shows how passionate fans are about this feature.
Now that we already have multiplayer and are hoping it will also be included in the next installment, we would love to see something new. We saw from the first trailer how the game might have some sort of social media mechanics. We saw people doing live streams and recording random events taking place. I want to see more of this mechanic and how it can be useful in the game.
3. Missions Sneak Peeks
One thing we would love to see in GTA 6 Trailer 2 is a few sneak peeks of the missions in the game. The second trailer of GTA V roughly had around 25 missions teased. If the previous title can pull it off, I think the next big installment can also do the same. Whether it’s a high-stakes heist, an adrenaline-fueled car chase, or an intense shootout in a sprawling cityscape, mission sneak peeks can give fans a taste of the thrills to come.
4. Character Backstories
The upcoming main characters of the story are inspired by the notorious criminal couple, Bonnie and Clyde. That alone makes it very interesting, but we barely know these characters yet. What led them to a life of crime? What are their hopes, fears, and motivations? Who are the other people that would shape the narrative of the story?
A quick glimpse of their backstories would be a welcome addition to the second trailer. It can even mix well with showcasing some of the missions you will be doing in the game. Whether it’s their shared dream of escaping a harsh reality or the thrill of living on the edge, fleshing out their story could make them more relatable to the players.
5. An Actual Release Date
Let’s be real here; we all are hoping for an actual release date announcement on the GTA 6 Trailer 2. While Rockstar loves to keep fans on their toes, the second trailer can be the moment to finally drop the big news. A confirmed release date would not only fuel excitement but also make GTA 6 one of the highlights of the year 2025 for the gaming community. However, if they do plan on releasing more than two trailers for the game, it’s more likely that we won’t be seeing a release date reveal on the second trailer. But we can still hope for the best.
