MrBeast is one of the most popular figures in the online community. He has, however, faced a lot of controversies.
YouTube star Jimmy “MrBeast” is the platform’s most subscribed creator. At the time of writing, he has over 347 million subscribers. Naturally, he has a huge fan base and is often regarded as a creator who has done much for the community. His philanthropic efforts have also been a talked-about topic. Despite the overarching positive side of the creators, there have been times when he has found himself in controversies and internet dramas.

1) Lunchly Controversy
MrBeast, Logan Paul, and KSI faced a lot of backlash in September 2024 after the trio launched Lunchly, a ready-to-eat meal box. Despite their venture, the three creators were called out by many within the YouTubing community over their marketing decisions. Lunchly had publicly labeled itself as a “healthier” alternative to Lunchables.
However, many criticized this as the main target demographic for this product was children. Some creators argued that the product was not suitable or nutritious enough for children’s consumption. One of the creators who voiced this sentiment was Minecraft streamer and creator Dan “DanTDM.”
2) Beast Games Lawsuit
Beast Games, an ongoing game show created by MrBeast in partnership with Prime Video, has faced significant criticism. Reports suggest that the filming process was plagued by mismanagement, including allegations of participants falling ill, suffering from sleep deprivation, and even experiencing sexual misconduct.
While MrBeast has denied the allegations, stating that they are exaggerated, it is worth noting that both he and Prime Video have been named in a class action lawsuit filed by some of the show’s participants.
3) Ava Kris Tyson Situation
One of MrBeast’s long-serving friends and colleagues, Ava Kris Tyson (formerly Chris Tyson), faced a litany of allegations in July 2024. These included accusations of grooming and making offensive jokes in a Discord group that also included Jimmy. Unsurprisingly, the backlash extended to Jimmy as well.
MrBeast also announced that Tyson was removed from their crew and has not appeared in any of the creator’s videos since. However, in October 2024, he posted a statement claiming that an independent law firm had found the grooming allegations against Ava to be baseless.
4) Hiring Alleged Sex Offender
In August 2024, YouTuber DogPack404 uploaded an accusatory video targeting MrBeast. In the video, a former employee, Jake Weddle, alleged that Jimmy had hired an individual named Delaware, who was reportedly a registered sex offender. Jake alleged:
“They covered up the fact that not only did he work there… but he was the manager when it all started. And, you know, he knew because he’ll be in videos. He will be in the thumbnails. He will be around.”
While the perpetrator’s name was not initially disclosed, further investigation revealed that the individual had appeared in at least a couple of MrBeast’s YouTube videos. Another former MrBeast employee, Jake Franklin, came forward and stated that the person in question was his brother-in-law.
5) “Anti-Christ” Drama
Jimmy, widely known for his philanthropic work, has consistently maintained that his efforts stem from genuine altruism. However, many have found his philanthropy to be questionable. For instance, when he uploaded a video titled 1,000 Blind People See For The First Time, some critics accused him of exploiting disabled individuals for profit and content.
Some critics labeled him ableist, while others went so far as to call him the “Antichrist.” The criticism largely revolved around accusations that he was monetizing and profiting from the hardships and disabilities of others.
