Scarra, whose real name is William Li, was born on November 25, 1989. He is 35 years old as of this writing.
William Li, popularly known as Scarra, is a retired League of Legends player and a Twitch streamer. Li was born on November 25, 1989, in Houston, Texas. The name Scarra originated from his old in-game name “scarred4lyfe,” which he used in many games like League of Legends and WoW.
William joined a team named Rock Solid and entered the 2010 Newegg Winter Winfest tournament, which they ended up losing. However, they placed third in the tournament. Scarra and his team were signed by the organization Dignitas. William later resigned from the League of Legends championship scene and started streaming full time. He later joined several other teams to play show matches and casual tournaments.
In 2017, William founded OfflineTV, or OTV, along with his manager, Christopher Chan, in efforts to create content with his friends. OTV has evolved into the content powerhouse it is today, thanks to William who is also considered the “Dad of OTV.”
Li has been nominated for several awards since his career started. The list of awards includes Best Strategy Game Streamer, for which he was nominated twice, and the Legacy Award, for which Scarra was nominated once at the Streamer Awards. A running joke among OTV members highlighted that Scarra received less fan mail than others, leading to a sudden influx of fan mail received by him.
Scarra’s Popularity and Impact
At 35 years old, Scarra remains an active and influential figure in the streaming and the gaming communities. Scarra boasts a loyal following of 1.6M followers on Twitch, 817.8K followers on X, and 312K followers on Instagram. Li has started vlogs and lifestyle content on his YouTube channel, which has over 754K subscribers.
Scarra’s influence extends far beyond his role as a professional player and content creator. As one of the founding members of OfflineTV, Scarra has helped pave the way for others in the esports and streaming industry. Li briefly streamed as a VTuber, which met with a tragic incident in the fantasy world. Scarra has also joined Disguised Toast’s organization Disguised as a professional Teamfight Tactics player.
