Palworld has a huge variety of Pals in the game but not all of them are good for you. Here is a list of the best ones.
All the Pals in Palworld can be a great addition to the player in one way or the other. Even if you are not directly using them, it’s just cool to collect them all.
Which ones are the best for you among all the Pals? Well, we are not here to rank them all, but you may want to take a look at these 9 best ones to cross-check and add to your collection.
Kindly note that this list is not official in any way and contains the writer’s subjective opinion. Moreover, it is not ranked in any specific order despite the displayed numbers.
Take a look at the names before you move on to the details:
- Jormuntide Ignis
- Jetragon
- Frostallion Noct
- Shadowbeak
- Paladius
- Necromus
- Bellanoir Libero
- Anubis
- Blazamut Ryu
All of these are of different levels and have different uses. In fact, there is no one specific way you can attain all of them. We suggest that you first understand how Pal Spheres work and then jump onto the task of acquiring the best Pals out there.
What Makes These Pals the Best in Palworld?
1. Jormuntide Ignis
In my opinion, Jormuntide Ignis is the most powerful combat Pal in the game. It covers the Fire/Dragon Element and is found northwest of the Ruined Fortress City teleport point. To be precise, this is the northwest part of the Palworld map, the Wildlife Sanctuary 2. Either a combination of a Blazehowl and Jormuntide or just two Jormuntide Ignis can also breed this creature.
2. Jetragon
Fancy yourself a speedy and fast Pal? Go for this beautiful creature, and it shall not disappoint you! This Legendary-type Pal is associated with the Dragon Element and can be considered one of the best Pals in Palworld. When you travel north from the teleport point of the Beach of Everlasting Summer, you will find its habitat.
It is a Level 50 Field Alpha Boss of the volcanic region in the west of the map. Sadly, you can’t come across it in the overworld but can obtain it by hatching Huge Dragon Eggs. So far, we know that it can only be bred using two Jetragon parents.
3. Frostallion Noct
This Pal is associated with the Dark Element and is quite rare in Palworld. The reason for its scarcity is the fact that it cannot be found while exploring the game. This means that it’s not even a boss in any area. Instead, you can collect it via breeding. And I think it’s much better than a regular Frostallion, so you may want to use the latter for breeding anyway.
You can breed a Frostallion Noct by putting together a regular Frostallion with a Helzephyr.
4. Shadowbeak
If you are looking for the best Dark-type Pal, you should definitely have Shadowbeak on the list somewhere near the top. The primary reason is its Modified DNA Partner Skill. You will find it in its natural habitat on the Wildlife Sanctuary Island 3 on the eastern edge of the map. A flying or a swimming Pal can get you here easily. It can also be bred by putting a Kitsun alongside an Astegon. And if you have two Shadowbeaks, even better!
5. Paladius
Yet another speedy Pal for you. Unfortunately, Paladius doesn’t fly; it is still pretty quick on the ground. Moreover, you will also find that it is the only Pal in the game who has a Triple Jump. It’s another Field Boss that doesn’t spawn in the overworld by itself. You can find its habitat to be the desert region in the northeast area of the map, near Necromus. This is northwest from the teleport point of the Deep Sand Dunes. It can hatch from a Huge Egg but there is currently no combination that can breed it, besides two of its own kind.
6. Necromus
When it comes to speed on the ground, Paladius ties with Necromus. Their attacks are pretty different, though. The latter covers Fire and Dark damage. It is one more Field Alpha Boss in the same region as Paladius above. And like any other Field Boss it doesn’t spawn by itself. As for breeding, only two Necromus give birth to one.
7. Bellanoir Libero
Despite looking majestic, Bellanoir Libero is a Dark attacker. It is a Raid Boss and cannot be caught despite what Sphere you have. That’s right. Even with a Legendary Pal Sphere, you cannot catch Bellanoir Libero. However, you can hatch a Huge Dark Egg to get it. So far, the only combination that can be used to breed one is if both parents are Bellanoir Libero.
8. Anubis
Anubis is a great Pal to apply Ground damage during Combat situations and can easily dodge incoming attacks. It is a Level 47 Field Alpha Boss based in the desert region. This is northeast of the Sealed Realm of the Winged Tyrant teleport point. However, note that it doesn’t spawn in the overworld by itself. You can either hatch a Huge Rocky Egg or breed it using several combos.
These include Celaray x Relaxaurus, Vanwyrm x Azurobe, Cinnamoth x Vanwyrm, Sweepa x Tombat, Elizabee x Chillet, Nitewing x Rayhound, and Nitewing x Blazehowl.
9. Blazamut Ryu
We highly recommend using this Pal in combat situations because of its Fire and Dragon Elemental damage. Moreover, you will find that its Dragon Damage is boosted while mounted. Unfortunately, this intimidating-looking fellow can’t be caught directly because it’s a stronghold boss as well. So, you need a Huge Dragon Egg to obtain it. Breeding it is also difficult because you can only do so using two Blazamut Ryu parents.
