Popular Kick live streamer and content creator, Rangesh Mutama, popularly known as N3on was a victim of alleged view-botting. His streams usually have around 20,000 to 30,000 concurrent viewers. However, his latest livestream gained upwards of 75,000 viewers. The chat quickly accused Mutama of botting, which frustrated him. Rangesh screamed at the camera, exclaiming:

“Kick! someone f**king help me bro…I need them to cap my views bro, cap my views! you capped my views earlier bro!”

N3on has been previously accused of view-botting his channel to pump the views up inorganically. Kick staff, SantaMaria, had exposed Rangesh for using automated viewers on the channel. In recent headlines, N3on accused SantaMaria of putting female streamers on the front page and gifting them subscribers. Fousey, a controversial live streamer mirroring N3on’s tactics, confessed to using “bots” to inflate his viewer count.

Jidion, a popular YouTuber and livesteramer, had also accused Mutama of view-botting. In a video exposing view-botters, Kameron alleged that Rangesh boasted an average viewer count of 67,000. Despite having a low number of followers on social media platforms. Reacting to the video, Jidion said that N3on has no shame:

“Bro, there’s no shame, bro. There’s literally no shame, bro. Like a twenty, or fifteen would’ve been cool but, sixty-seven thousand?”

Who Else Is Accused of Using View-Bots Other Than N3on?

In the live streaming world, viewers count as the ultimate measure of a streamer’s influence.N3on is not the only streamer using this technique to boost his channel. Some have been influenced by Rangesh, while others have been influenced by the monetary benefits of using these unethical techniques.

Streamers Fousey, Jack Doherty, and HeelMike face accusations of using bots to inflate their viewership. A YouTuber named Kameron exposed such streamers for their techniques by providing a statistical analysis of viewership and follower count.

Many streamers and content creators gave their takes on the view-botting epidemic surrounding Kick. The stake-backed streaming platform has since then implemented measures to filter out such streamers and deflate their views. By capping the viewer count, Kick had seemingly found the solution to their problem, however, the view-botting is still prevalent.
