Palworld features an interesting Wanted Status mechanism that builds up based on your criminal in-game activities. Here is how to remove the status.
Pocketpair’s survival crafting game Palworld features a Wanted Status mechanism, which works the same as in popular titles like GTA and Hitman. Once the status triggers, it causes the Palpagos Island Defense Force (PIDF) to chase all your way and shoot you at sight.
The wanted status has several levels, depending on the intensity of your crime. A higher wanted level means more PIDF members will search for you. It is annoying to stay as a fugitive in the Palpagos Island, as it affects all your regular activities. So, here we have provided all the ways to get rid of the Wanted Status in Palworld.

What Triggers the Wanted Status in Palworld
Before looking for the solution, let’s discuss how the Wanted Status gets triggered in Palworld so that you do not become a fugitive in the future. The status will be activated when you commit any law-breaking activities. This involves activities such as attacking or killing the local NPCs, assassinating your Pals, and trespassing into restricted areas.
If you are caught red-handed while doing these activities, it triggers the Wanted Status and the whole Palpagos island will label you as a criminal. So you need to clear the status ASAP to continue your routine activities unless you want to have some fun with a higher wanted level. The wanted level will appear at the top-right corner of the screen.
Different Ways To Remove Wanted Status in Palworld
Let’s discuss all the possible ways to clear your name from the criminal records.
Clear the Witness
The crime will not be recorded if there are no witnesses. So eliminating all the witnesses of your crime before the arrival of PIDF is one of the way to instantly clear your Wanted Level. While it raises moral questions, it may be necessary to protect yourself.
Annihilate the PIDF
If you have found yourself getting chased by PIDF members, stop running and put on a fight. Obliterate all the forces, which leaves no one to chase you anymore, and hence your criminal record is cleared. This is one of the difficult ways to clear your Wanted Status, as it requires you to fight multiple enemies. Make sure you are well-equipped and prepared for the fight.
Run Away From PIDF
Escaping the PIDF removes the status. This one is obvious but tricky, as you need to find perfect hiding spots such as large rocks, under a cliff, or high points. Hiding behind these spots will prevent the PIDF from reaching you. Staying hidden for about 30 seconds without engaging in combat will clear the status. Additionally, you can fly vertically with your flying mounts to escape the PIDF.
Give Up
The easiest way to remove the status is to surrender and let the authority do their job. While this is the simplest option, it comes with consequences. When you wake up, your wanted status will be cleared, but you’ll lose all your equipment and gear. However, you can retrieve them by picking up a backpack at the location of death.
Restart the Game
Restarting the game will clear your Wanted Status in Palworld. Although not a conventional way, it still works. If you don’t prefer any of the above-mentioned options, just close the game and launch again to find all your wanted stars gone.
