During Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 subathon, the Twitch streamer pledged 20% of the event revenue toward building schools in Nigeria. The 30-day subathon concluded, and Kai shared an update with his audience to tell them how he would fulfill his pledge.

He has a layout planned for the school and confirmed that the “process has begun.” The streamer reaffirmed that he would spend more than the promised 20% subathon revenue to meet any additional expenses. Kai said he would personally visit Makoko when the project is ready.

Kai is currently planning his 7 Days of Christmas event, scheduled for 2025. He wished his viewers a Merry Christmas and said he would return soon after a Christmas break.

Kai Cenat Reveals His Plans To Build a School in Nigeria

On November 1, 2024, Kai Cenat made an Instagram post saying:

“I visited Nigeria not too long ago and I absolutely loved it. I say that to say this for the next 30 days while I’m streaming, 20% of all revenue will be going straight to the school that I am still currently building for the kids of Makoko.”

Kai initially planned to use 20% of the subathon money on a school building, classrooms, staff, and uniforms. But during his Christmas livestream, Kai said that he would put more money on top of the promised amount. The streamer said:

“To the kids of Makoko – I will be back. I will be back, and when I’m back, the school is going to be done. The process has begun. It’s going to be a beautiful story.”

His community commended him for the move, and many of his Twitch stream viewers said they are excited to see the project once it’s complete. It is currently unknown how long the project will take, but fans can expect an update from Kai in 2025.

Kai Also Hosted Other Giveaways on Stream

During the same livestream, Kai gave away 20 PlayStation 5s to lucky viewers who tuned in. He also had stacks of other presents ready for a giveaway to others in his community.

Later in the stream, he pretended to be asleep and caught someone dressed as Santa Claus sneaking into his room with presents. Just moments before, he said he was skeptical of Santa Claus because the “logistics of delivering gifts worldwide” seemed implausible to him.
