Who Is Sabo in One Piece?
Sabo is Luffy and Ace’s childhood friend who shares a deep bond with the two. While Luffy and Ace mourned the loss of their brother, Sabo was thankfully saved by Dragon and the Revolutionary Army.

Rumors of Sabo’s “death” stemmed from the Levely, where the Revolutionaries had directly attacked Mary Geoise. During this event, Sabo coincidentally ran into the enigmatic Imu and the Five Elders discussing the “Will of D.” and other secrets of the world. While the nobles had decided to kill Cobra, Sabo attempted to save him.
Unfortunately, this failed, with Imu’s mysterious powers injuring Sabo and killing Cobra. Following this, he retreated to Lulusia Kingdom, an ally of the Revolutionaries. While there, one of the most shocking events of One Piece occurred—the destruction of Lulusia.
To display the powers of the World Government and kill Sabo, Imu unleashed an Ancient Weapon on the kingdom, wiping the entire landmass in an instant. Sabo, who had been communicating with the Revolutionaries at this point using a Den Den Mushi, suddenly cut off. This was followed by the scenes of the destroyed crater where Lulusia used to be. Sabo’s Last Appearance in One Piece
Sabo’s last appearance in One Piece was in chapter 1025, during the Revolutionaries’ discussion about Vegapunk’s global broadcast.
During conversations about how the Ancient Weapons could sink the world, Sabo noted why the Celestial Dragons lived on the elevated Red Line. Addressing the growing danger, Dragon stated that a swift resolution was necessary as people would soon fight over safe ground.
Sabo’s Role in the Final Saga
While the Revolutionary Army has faced accusations of being too impassive in One Piece, Sabo has avoided the controversy. Since it was revealed he didn’t die as a child, he has been at the center of events, constantly fighting the World Government.
With him surviving in Lulusia and sharing how dangerous Imu is, all the high officials of the Revolutionary Army now realize it is time to act. As one of their most skilled fighters, it is natural to assume that Sabo will soon face off against the strongest villains in the world in order to save it.
