How To Start Pal Expeditions in Palworld
You need a specific structure called ‘Pal Expedition Station’ in your base to start a Pal Expedition. Once you reach level 15, you can unlock the blueprint of the structure in the Technology section with 2 Technology Points. The following materials are required to build a Pal Expedition Station:
- 20 Woods
- 20 Stones
- 5 Paldium Fragments
Once you have gathered the required materials, build the structure to start a new journey for your Pals by sending them out on dangerous expeditions. However, note that the structure requires a large space, so make plans at your base accordingly. You can have one Pal Expedition Station for the single base, meaning you can start multiple expeditions simultaneously if you have constructed a Pal Expedition Station at all of your bases.
How To Unlock Expeditions in Palworld
Every expedition in Palworld is linked to a specific tower. Before dispatching the Pals, you need to first defeat the tower bosses to unlock the respective expedition. Moreover, every expedition has a required type. It requires Pals of a specific elemental type for a specific dungeon. Dispatching Pals that match the required elemental type provides greater rewards and reduces the expedition duration. The following table outlines the unlocking method of all expedition dungeons along with their required element types.

How Does Pal Expedition Work in Palworld?
Interact with the Pal Expedition Station to bring up the expedition menu. Then add your Pals to dispatch them to expeditions. Only Pals stored in your Palbox are eligible for expeditions. Pals currently in your team or assigned to tasks at the base cannot be sent. Every expedition has a recommended firepower. Start your expedition at higher than the recommended firepower to get the maximum rewards while completing the expedition with reduced duration.
You can also use the Auto-assign option for a quicker and hassle-free setup. The order of the destinations is ranked from low risk to high risk, meaning the destinations at the top of the list are easy and earn a small amount of rewards. Whereas, the ones on the lower list are hard but yield greater rewards. A single expedition can have up to 100 Pals.
