Cristiano Ronaldo’s heartfelt birthday message to IShowSpeed has taken the internet by storm, sparking rumors about a potential collaboration.
Soccer megastar Cristiano Ronaldo left a heartfelt comment on Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins’ Instagram post on Speed’s birthday. IShowSpeed is unquestionably one of Cristiano Ronaldo’s biggest fans and celebrated his 20th birthday on January 21, 2025. Speed celebrated his birthday in Argentina, home of Cristiano’s rival in soccer, Lionel Messi. The streamer posted several images from his birthday party and childhood, along with an image of Ronaldo. Darren also had two custom-themed cakes, one of which featured Cristiano’s images. Ronaldo’s comment stated:
“Happy Birthday, Speed! Hope your day was great. Stay wild and fast!”

IShowSpeed considers Ronaldo his idol and has made content surrounding the Portuguese player. The streamer met Cristiano on June 17, 2023, in the parking lot of Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal, after Portugal won a qualifier match. Speed was also recently mentioned in one of Jimmy “MrBeast’s” videos, where Jimmy collaborated with Ronaldo. Darren’s birthday celebration included two custom-themed cakes: one inspired by Speed’s favorite anime series, One Piece, and the other dedicated to his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Darren’s team surprised him on his birthday by inviting his girlfriend, Vannessa Anne Williams. The streamer celebrated a major milestone by surpassing 35 million subscribers on YouTube. He also stated that he would be returning to Argentina once again.

Apart from IShowSpeed’s idol Ronaldo, many celebrities chimed in to wish the streamer a happy birthday. From rappers, YouTubers, and streamers, many wished the beloved streamer. The list of popular personalities includes Polo G, Lil Tjay, Central Cee, MrBeast, and many more.
Popular peripheral brand Razer also expressed their excitement about X after Ronaldo’s comment was included in a post. The brand commented:
