Adin Ross and Drake have been close friends for quite some time now. The streamer defended the rapper from Kendrick Lamar’s allegations.
Kick streamer Adin Ross, one of Drake’s confidants, has expressed his view following the recent Grammy Awards show. For context, Kendrick Lamar and Drake were involved in a heated diss track war in 2024. One of the viral songs in the beef was Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us,’ during which the rapper alleged Drake of pedophilia. While the beef is over, the song is still trending, having swooped all five of its nominations at the 67th Grammy Awards—Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Best Music Video.
Today (February 6, 2025), Adin Ross took to his secondary X account (@AR15thed3mon) to post a rather wholesome TikTok clip of Drake. In the video, the Canadian rapper was seen offering a prayer before his recent show. Watch the clip here:
The clip naturally garnered a lot of reactions. One user pointed out that the rapper was only hated because “he’s on the top.” Ross responded to this comment, stating:
“People only hate him cause he’s number one. And it’s just a bunch of built up hate overtime.”
He also threw shade at Lamar’s recent Grammy wins, stating:
“Kendrick got 5 Grammys for calling Drake a pedo but didn’t get any for good kid mad city, sh*ts sad all politics.”
Exploring Adin Ross and Drake’s Friendship
Drake has maintained a strong presence in the streaming industry. Even as a mainstream celebrity, he has stayed connected with streamers and has occasionally streamed on Kick himself. Kick is also home to Adin Ross, who holds a small ownership stake in the platform.
The two have been friends for at least two years and have met on multiple occasions. One such meeting occurred in November when Adin visited Toronto and met the rapper at a club. Drake is also an avid viewer of Adin Ross’s streams. On many occasions, he has posted comments during Adin’s broadcasts.
On December 28, 2024, the duo streamed together for the first time on Kick. Their stream went viral as they hosted giveaways before the New Year.
Adin was naturally one of the critics of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ diss on Drake. While he acknowledged on the stream that the song was groovy and catchy, he maintained that the allegations were false.
Drake has also collaborated with other streamers. In November 2024, he and xQc joined forces for a stream on Drake’s channel. Both xQc and Drake are well-known for their gambling content on Stake, which has become a staple on Kick for many streamers.
