City development remains a core aspect of Civilization 7, which involves managing civilizations across various ages—Antiquity, Exploration, and Modern. While constructing buildings and other essential layouts, you need to place them strategically to maximize your benefits.
Adjacency Bonuses, which were linked with specific districts in Civilization 6, are now directly tied to buildings in Civilization 7. Now, buildings surrounded by natural features and player-made structures gain these bonuses, which provide additional yields.
Civilization 7: How To Get Adjacency Bonuses
While building iconic structures like wonders and mesmerizing natural features enhances the visual appeal of your city, it also serves as the key to maximizing the Adjacency Bonuses in Civilization 7. The Adjacency Bonuses for buildings depend on the strategic placement of their surrounding structures. When a building is adjacent to Wonders, natural features like rivers and forests, and player-made structures, it gains an increased Adjacency Bonus and significantly boosts yields.
Each urban tile has two building slots in Civilization 7. You can assign Specialists on urban tiles to further enhance the Adjacency Bonus effect. These Specialists not only boost the effects of this bonus but also increase the yields on their own. Additionally, unlocking certain Civics can temporarily boost the Adjacency Bonus, providing even greater advantages.
